Sorry for this delayed answer. I missed your question.
You are mostly correct. His first session was Feb 1996, and last was Oct 1999. Back in 1996, 600-700 grafts was a good sized session. In 1999 he chose to finish with a small session, as he was only interested in a touch up.
I hope these answers help.

Dr. Haber here, and it does appear that I was misunderstood. The location of the incision is only part of the process of obtaining an excellent scar. Excellent donor scars can certainly result from excisions taken low, just as wide donor scars can occur even with perfectly located incisions. Surgical technique, wound tension, and individual healing characteristics all play an important role as well. That said, the likelihood of producing an ideal scar is maximized when the incision is placed at or above the occipital protuberance.
As far as suture or staple removal goes, as long as the physician has trained and supervises the person performing this task, almost anyone can do it, as long as they have a gentle touch.

41 year old man underwent session of FUT with 2206 grafts. One year later he underwent second session of 2364 grafts. One month later he returned showing significant shock loss. Five months later he returned showing almost complete recovery, and well on his way to excellent final growth from both sessions. Final growth not yet complete, but a total of 1778 1s, 2299 2's, 484 3's, and 45 4's for a total of 4606 grafts and 8008 hairs. Moral of the story- don't panic!
