  1. OK, I really have enjoyed this thread, sorry if it is really off subject. Yes, I too am divorced and if anyone tells you its a man's world has never been divorced. Mark, Troy thanks for making me laugh. My life (other than my screwed up head) is going actually pretty well post divorce. Dating at any age is frightening. Troy, hey kind off makes me want to be 30 something again. Again thanks, funny stuff. icon_wink.gif

  2. I think he is a nice and ethical guy. BUT, although I am at 8 1/2 months my results are very disappointing (my opinion). I don't know what else to say, I think I will have some additional thickening of what has grown, but my overall assessment is this was a very poor job. Lots of shock loss and poor growth. There is no second place in theis business you either hit a home run or not. I am now in the position of trying to figure out what to do next.

  3. Yes, part of the reason I chose Lehr was he was recommended on this site. I am not sure what to make of this, I have lots of miniturized hairs but don't know if they are transplanted hairs coming in or weak existing hair going out. I am VERY unhappy with the results. I don't know what I am going to do. Any advise?

  4. OK,gang I am 8 months post op with Lehr. I had 2650 fu's via strip and it is a disaster. Lots of shock loss and very little growth. You can see my blog and compare pics.

I am considering a second surgery or just shaving to a #2 and getting on with my life. I am considering Shapiro, H&W and Feller. I don't need a mega session but a good going over for density. HELP!

  6. Well hummmm, this kind of discussion is the reason I come back to this forum. I had a rather "small" procedure of 2650 grafts about 7 months ago. I don't think I am going to see the kind of density I am looking for BUT, I had quite a bit of native hair in the area transplanted. So it stands to reason that perhaps a conservative approach was the way to go. I DREAD another surgery, so understand the reason for a larger one pass surgery. Was I a good canidate for one, probably not. At the end of the day, I am interested in a fantasic result not $4,000.00 one way or another. This will affect how I look and feel for the rest of my life. I really see and understand both sides of the equation. I do appreciate all the interst and passiion this subject seems to generate as it has made me a better patient/consumer of this type or surgery.

    Cheers

  7. 4 1/2 months is way too early. Six months before you see any significant growth and even then the hair itself is VERY thin. I am at 7 and 1/2 months and have some cosmetic improvement but think its going to need another pass before I have the kind of density on the hairline I am looking for. The hair itself is still very thin so I am hoping the hair will thicken over the next 5 months.

    cheers.

  8. You are going to hear the same from most folks on here, submit pictures, get on meds and stay there for awhile. Get lots of consults with top docs, your money your head. Don't worry about cost or travel, spend the time and money, you don't want to get this wrong. Again, you are not buying a toaster, SPEND THE MONEY AND THE TIME AND DO IT RIGHT.

    Cheers.

  9. I was quoted by my doc that 95 to 98% will grow (strip). I really don't have any way of telling, my growth seems to be pretty significant, but really thin at the six month mark (yesterday). I am hoping (like everybody) for significant density improvement over the next three to four months. I had alot of hair shock out that probably didn't come back so really hard to tell.

    Cheers

  10. Greeting, I too am at the 6 month mark (a few days shy) and can tell you it is not what I expected at 6 months. I hope that there is lots more to come, BUT I have seen probably the biggest difference in the last month. I too have been on Fast for about 6 months. I am starting to see hair coming out again so don't know if it is a second shed, or what. I just wanted to let you know I am in the same boat as well. I guess the bottom line is not much I can do about either. I am going to go ride my motorcycle and enjoy it.

  11. Wow, hmmmmm, some valid points but, again some generalization regarding men getting Ht's. I don't really think its that complicated. I used to have lots of hair, I would like to have enough to have a decent hairline. Yes I am in my 40's, pretty successful, pretty happy. No my life doesn't revolve around this forum nor my hair. But I care about how I look. Is it the most important thing in my life NO. Clearly there are differences of opinion. I think this thread has about run its course.

    Peace.....
