Thanks mate. Can you explain more what is hair fibres? Do you mean tropical solutions to apply on scalp?

    Absolutely.

It's hard to explain more granular but in essence it's fibres made from (I think) keratin. Might come from sheep or something. Then the colour it. And sell in various colour's. It's basically like a powder you apply to your head and it attaches to your hair builds up density just like real hair.

Sounds weird but check out "toppik" (the most famous brand I'd say, I'm not promoting them or anything, but it's what I've tried and it works well for me).

Basically you dust some of that on your hair and suddenly it looks like you have 2x the density. It's crazy. I think it would work very well on your pattern.

When I check my photo right after operations, looks like mid scalp is planted less dense and crown is even lesser. I recalled doctor said 4200 graft not sufficiently to cover same density for mid scalp and crown. When I look at the photo now, it sort of make sense and align of the area of density of implant.

im not sure situation will improve by month-8 to any satisfaction or it will improve a little but still limited density.

if it is latter, the next decision point would be the need of a second operations.

That makes sense and I think it's a reasonable plan. For higher NWs it's hard to get full coverage in one go. Most would prefer to focus on framing the face like you did.

Based on other cases that I've seen, there tends to be a significant increase in density, or illusion of density, around month 8 or so. I imagine that will be the case for you too. But yes, the density you have now follows the implants in the after surgery picture quite well.

  3. I checked your most recent pics first and thought "that's some nice hairline work". I then checked the first post. "Yup, only hairline, but looks good". Until I scrolled down a bit and saw your huge bald spot for the crown. Then my jaw dropped to the floor. VERY nice work. Total game changer lookswise for you. Enjoy!

  4. I think it looks very good!

I've seen cases who have come quite a bit further at 4.5 months. But I have also seen A LOT of cases who had less growth at 4.5 months.

Many cases seem to grow fairly slow and then suddenly hit the "BOOM" stage, which seems to vary anywhere from month 5 to 8, or sometimes even later.

Please keep us posted and fingers crossed you will get solid growth the coming months!

Special careful on the site making in the recipient area is important. Effluvium after surgery can happened but those hairs will grow back due to not direct injury to them. Medication is also the important factor that help avoiding severe shock loss. In this patient, I gave him on oral minoxidil 4 months prior to surgery.

Does oral minoxidil prevent shock loss? I've heard that finasteride could help but didn't know about minoxidil. How long before surgery would be necessary in order for it to have any protective effect?

  6. There's a lot of focus on natural and "mature" or "age appropriate" hairlines on forums. And for good reason. If someone goes too low, too early, and their loss continues behind the transplant, it could end up looking weird. At least if they don't have grafts left to fill in behind.

In your case, that risk looks rather low. In that case, I see no reason to worry about a low hairline. Many people have naturally low hairlines even at an old age, and I never heard anyone say that those hairlines look unnatural (they aren't..).

So this kind of low hairline isn't for everyone. But it *seems* it could work for you. I'd be happy too in your shoes.
