  1. Yes, i had a little bit of thin hair in the front that he wanted to blend the new grafts into, to create a more natural hairline. I didnt want to go too low dropping my hairline, but he thought it was a good starting spot.
  2. It is not much (only one person), but a guy i work with got a transplant done there about a year ago, and it came out very well. I think he got 3500-4000 grafts and got a discount with a groupon. Overall, it came out pretty well.
  3. Hello all, just wanted to post my procedure with Espinosa Custodio in Madrid: First off, I want to say that the facility and staff are absolutely amazing! Doctor Custodio absolutely cares for his patients and will take as much time as needed to discuss and go over a plan that you are happy with. The first day started with the in person consultation and seeing the areas my hair was thinning and what was needed to add density in very thin areas and reconstruct the hairline. After looking at my hair under the microscope we decided that we would try to fill in the crown (as much as possible) and address the hairline. After getting an idea of what my donor area would produce he explained that my donor was very thick and would give a high graft to follicle ratio. We decided to take a more conservative approach and do a little less grafts than planned because of the donor quality. I am planning on a second touch up procedure early next year to add density to areas that still need it or address whatever else is left. My main points were going in were as follows: 1. I wanted to be a little conservative my first transplant and make sure that things came out natural. I did not want a super thick hairline that did not blend into my mid scalp because i already knew going in, my donor area was very thick. 2. I really wanted to address the crown a bit in the first procedure but the Dr would not guarantee that until he saw my donor area in person. The plan was always for a second procedure but i really wanted to get at least some in the crown. 3. I wanted to make sure that i had no over harvesting on my donor to ensure that a second procedure would go smoothly. He ensured me that he would space out all grafts to make it it evenly distributed. 4. Lastly, i wanted to be very careful implanting into my existing hair. I started oral minoxidil 5MG about 5 months before the procedure and started to see some results coming in. I wanted him to take a look at my thin areas to gage the quality of the hair that was growing because i was starting to see a noticeable difference. He looked at all areas and added grafts to the thin areas that he believed would still need the grafts even if the minoxidil filled it out a bit. Below is the starting point, post OP, and 1 Week. Approximate graft breakdown was: 2200 hairline temples 1100 Crown Total: 3200 Grafts - 7900 follicles Start: Post OP: 1 Week: Shot of Donor: (its not the best pics there is a gel on there which created a bit of a glare/bad picture)
  4. That's my only concern about Dr custodio. I can't find a ton of user submissions but his ig seems solid. Freitas on the other hand has a large body of work but a super long wait time. I'm probably going to just choose custodio and hope for the best. Everything I've seen seems to be solid.
  5. Check out Carlos Wesley... from what I understand he is easily one of the top guys you can go to. It's hard to get a consultation with him because he is so booked. I even heard recently he is only taking referrals.
  6. Can you link the case you found that was poor? Most of his ig stuff imo looks great. I saw maybe 1-2 that were a bit underwhelming. However, those cases were at a very bad place from the start and very little hair.
  7. He showed them to me during the consultation. They were cases similar to my hair situation and how he was going to proceed.
  8. I did everything he showed me seemed amazing or on par with any of the top guys. Was hoping a few people here might have had a procedure that could give some insight.
  9. Yes it was like $100 for the consult. He seems very good I was just looking for some input from the community to make sure I'm going to the right place. I want a top tier guy and from what I can tell he seems solid.
  10. Freitas has a cancelation wait list also but there is no guarantee. I was just looking to see if anyone had any more info on Custodio. From the limited work ive seen from him, it looks very good.
  11. Hello all, Looking to get some opinions on a procedure after narrowing down my search to three doctors. I've been researching for a while and originally narrowed my search to laorwong, freitas, Antonio burgos, and espinosa custodio. I ended up deciding that traveling from the US to Thailand for Dr Laorwong was a bit much for me and I wasnt totally sold on the clinics in turkey. Frietas has a very long wait list which is nearly a year and a half. I know he does great work but that seems like a very long wait. Burgos and custodio seem to be also producing great results (there are more user reviews for burgos.) Does anyone have any opinion on those three doctors from Spain or information that I should know? I am leaning toward Dr custodio because his hairlines seem great and after the consultation, him and his place seem great. He also has a "guarantee" to produce adequate results or he will do a follow up to correct anything that is not up to his standard. Thanks!
