  1. USA surgeons want the best results. Thus, it seems they would do more megasessions regardless of cost. Constructively, you could almost make the case that USA doctors would refer patients to oversees locations for megasessions....since they prefer not to.
  2. Your response was very, very helpful. My posts are a bit confusing. 1) Specifically: I would like to fill in the FUT scars and rock a buzz cut. However, I have some pitting, and uneven scap tissue, it feels like. Ie, if I buzz my head, will every little imperfection show-- or just mild imperfections? (Pls assume I will use a great doctor including repairs.) Also, 2) Keeping in mind I wish to Buzz my hair (not shave), Do you recommend the following: First fill in as much of my scalp as possible with my remaining donor and as much beard hair as possible? I realize beard hair has different texture. In this scenario, cutting my hair extremely short may make it much harder to detect beard vs scalp hair.
  3. "In theory" can a doctor remove all transplanted hair on top of head without creating crazy devits, uneven skin etc? Can he sort of smooth-out the skin after removing the transplanted hair? For ex, if I shaved my head, would my head look like a ton of tiny holes? A battlefield. The Hair on top of head is all transplanted.
  4. All the hair on top of head is transplanted hair from 25 yrs ago
  5. I am Norwood 7 even though I had transplants 25 yrs ago. I'm out of donor hair. Are there other options I may have, for example shave my head? (The long the long-scar on back of head will show though.) Do guys sometimes remove transplants, then cover up the scars with it? Any other thoughts?
  6. I've been reading that some surgeons -- that do megasessions via FUE-- sometimes cross into Non-Donor areas of the head. The patient gets a full head of new hair initially. But, the some of the transplanted hair has the potential not to last, long term since it was outside of donor hair to begin with. Do some reputable surgeons truly do this? Is this something to be very concerned about, or just mildly concerned?
  7. I meant for the question to be just general in nature. But, I totally see your point. I just added some pics. Thank you
  8. All international surgeons will do HT on me even though I am Norwood 6/7. *(Fyi, had 2 small HT procedures in the 1990s.)* However my question is regarding USA surgeons: I am finding some USA surgeons refuse to do a HT on me because of limited donor area. And, some are comfortable and will do it. For ex, Jerry Cooley will do it. His aim is to create an "illusion" of a fuller head and aim mostly for the frontal top of head, and also framing of face / hairline; then consider beard hair for the crown in a second surgery. Whereas, a surgeon in Dallas won't work on me at all. Any thoughts?
  9. Generally speaking, are most USA surgeons against doing mega-sessions?
  10. Hi! This is my first post. I had 2 procedures at Bosley in the 1990's and not thrilled. Now, 25 yrs later, the only hair left on the top is: transplanted hair. Had I never gone to Bosley, I believe I would be Norwood 7. I conider myself Norwood 6 right now. My question is: Is there a surgeon your recommend for someone like me? I don't have a ton of donor hair left, but enough to do a new hairline it seems. Hopefully your recommendation includes a doctor good with Beard to Scalp HT too. Thank you!
