  1. Hey @Melvin- Admin, thanks for the advice. Brexit took us out of the EU unfortunately so I anticipate issues, though since your suggestion I’ve been looking further into topical solutions. Specifically Dutasteride after your recommendation. There really isn’t much to find on this side of the pond it appears. Everywhere you look the same subscription pedalling of the same setup. General fin pills and topical minoxidil just in different packaging. I’m not necessarily knocking it, but it doesn’t take much searching to discover that it feels very copy/paste. that said I did come across a Dutasteride product from this site. https://hairrepairclinic.co.uk/product-category/topical-hair-loss-treatments/ I wondered what your thoughts were? Seems they have a few different mixtures depending on what your preferred combination is. I feel like the Dutasol-M solution might be an option as it would eradicate the need for the additional minox foam I’m using at the moment?
  2. Thanks @Melvin- Admin for your response. It really means a lot to me. Yes I think after comparing myself to other’s photos I believed myself to be diffuse too, but it’s still nice to have someone else within the community also confirm this. I’ve spent so long hiding under a hair system and hat it does feel good to be finally feeling like I might make some progress now. Thank you for your optimism as well, I’d like to think maybe I can make some difference before going under the knife, but I am just a little unsure where to begin. perhaps I didn’t write it properly before, but I went on finasteride for 5 weeks, sept-mid Oct but experienced sides so got off it. I haven’t used it since. From what I’ve read, I doubt I will see much more progress from rogaine foam, but I will continue since my GP was kind enough to offer it under prescription so much cheaper than in stores. unfortunately here in the UK, Dutasteride isn’t licensed, and the best we have available really is from online subscriptions such as “Manual”, “Hims” and such. Those of which only offer Finasteride. I still have probably around 2 months worth of Finasteride left from before. Do you think it is worth perhaps trying a lower dosage? Admittedly I’m apprehensive but perhaps if I pass that 5 week mark without experiencing sides it might give an indication that 1mg a day is just too strong for me? Honestly from a medication point of view I find the options here in the UK are pretty limited compared to what I’ve read of elsewhere internationally. Physicians I’ve spoken to kinda just shoot down even Finasteride for hair loss, so we are at the whim of the online suppliers. I have seen a topical Finasteride and Minoxidil solution available. I suppose I could kick the rogaine and give that a go, if anyone has any experience of that it’d be great to hear from you. sorry for the long response btw, I hope I’m not the first to go on as soon as they join. thanks again J
  3. Hey fellas! not sure if I posted in the right place to begin with so trying here too. I took the plunge today and signed up after lurking and browsing for the best part of 2023 I’d love some feedback and recommendations if you think I’d be suitable for a hair transplant and if so what sort of results I could expect. Despite the amount of time I’ve spent reading all about your own experiences, I am still somewhat overwhelmed by it all. To give you an idea of my journey so far, I’m 37 from the UK, and been losing my hair I’d say since around 2014/2015. It began with just a bit of thinning on the top but given my hairstyle you couldn’t tell. Around 2017/2018 I began using toppik as the thinning grew. I’d say that lasted about a year or so though. 2019 I braved the shave. I suppose I did so in the hopes that I’d feel liberated somehow, unfortunately it was not the case. I just didn't recognise myself in the mirror and ended up instead wearing hats everywhere. When I couldn’t wear one for formal events etc it would massively effect my confidence. 2020 then came around and I used the opportunity to try to grow my hair out enough to wear a hair system. While I got on well with the systems, and experiencedenough that I felt comfortable doing all the maintenance myself at home, the cost alone has made me wonder if this ongoing expense might be better spent towards a more permanent solution in the long run. I work from home nowadays and since September decided to start growing out my hair on top once again and opting for a clip in system for those events when Ican’t hide under a hat. I figured this would give me and hopefully you guys a better idea of what I’m working with here. medication wise, I’ve been using rogaine foam 5% since Sept, as well as microneedling twice a week and a daily biotin supplement. I tried finasteride 1mg a day for about 5 weeks, but you guys know where I’m going with this, sides showed up and I decided to drop it. I really wanted to add it to my routine. I know some folks have said to maybe lower the dosage or perhaps try just taking every other day. I’d love to know what you think. So I think that’s everything. I’ve been looking around at clinics and trying to narrow it down based on your recommendations. I quickly discovered the term hair mill after running many of the insta ads through thisforum, yeesh they really push them don’t they?! From my pics you can probably see my hair loss is pretty advanced. I’m not sure how it would be classified, it’s certainly sparse on top, though I still retain much of my original hairline pattern. The cost to undergo a procedure here in the UK is unfortunately out of my budget. I am however trying to broaden my options outside of Turkey though and have read many great things about Eugenix in India? anywho, that’s my deal right now, i’d love to know what you all might think and appreciate any wisdom you might be able to dispel to me J
