I am a female in mid 30s and have had female patter baldness over few years. I considering hair transplant as none of the medical treatments helped me. I live in US(west coast ) and looking for good recommendation for doctors to perform hair transplant.
I consulted with one of the local doctors and he suggested 3000 grafts with FUT. Cost was around 17K and he suggested that I shave the area of head where they would do implantation (As he wants to use ARTAS). Shaving implantation area is not an option for me. I am totally new to hair transplant and since past few days I am reading up more on this forum.
1) Is 17K the usual price in US for 3K grafts? I am willing to travel to any place in US if I can get better doctor or at least cost is better.
2) Is there a list of recommended surgeons in US? I have budget constraints as well.
3) I was willing to travel to Turkey to get HT but after reading many posts about various "hair mills" I am super apprehensive about getting it done in Turkey. Are there any good places worth traveling to turkey? Would I be saving a lot more with same results as in US?
I am thinking of enquiring with Fuecapilar(Dr Turan) after many recommended on forum. But I am very apprehensive about getting it done in Turkey. I do not want to harm my existing hair
