It's all about results for me. I'm a Norwood 6+ and every YouTube/Instagram example with heads like mine, Dr. Pittella has the best results for Giga Sessions (2 consecutive days). I liked the feedback from everyone that had their work done by Dr. Pittella. Also, he is very skilled in using beard hair which I will use. I wish surgeons in the USA could do it with similar results but haven't found them.

Thanks pullingyourleg! Nice to have confirmation from others as it's a nice deposit sum. By the time I get my procedure done you will be over the hump at 4 months and will start seeing great results.

YodaHead, Great info! I could not find that info anywhere and is appreciated. I had no idea that amount was required from any documents I received until I received a note via WhatsApp. A large deposit for a procedure 15 months from now certainly caught me by surprise. As you did, I'll ensure its refundable if I have to cancel. I will do full court press to get it sooner of course. Thanks again!

I also had a recent video consult with Dr. Pittella. I was offered late Jun 2025 (2 days). The 2 packages, as folks have stated, have gone up for sure. I am looking at around 10,000 grafts (best guess looking at pics). FYI, I was asked to deposit $6KUSD to reserve the June 2025 dates. Were you also asked for a reservation deposit? I've haven't responded yet as I'm trying to figurer out if this is normal practice for the majority of highly sought after surgeons. I would be flying from California which is quite a trip but would make the most of it with my wife. I could not find surgeons in United States that does Giga Sessions and more importantly the quality of the results compared to Pittella. Again, just curious if you were asked for a deposit to secure transplant dates.

YodaHead, My surgery dates are end of June 2025. Of course, I asked for anything earlier and could travel on short notice. They are asking for $6,000 USD to reserve these dates. Seems unusual as I've heard no one mentioning paying upfront to reserve their dates that far out. What is your experience with paying any money to reserve your date/s? Thank you

YodaHead / Digs49 / Gatsby FYI ... had video consult with Dr. Pittella a few days ago.! Was a 40 min session and I felt really good about it. Dr Pittella feels like a great friend and pretty darn sure everyone feels that way. I'm 62 and for decades and I was unable to get a HT due to work commitments (career military) and in the last 10 years the technology / techniques have increased significantly. Gents like Gatsby had the full journey and although I'm older than most I've read almost all his postings (Digs49 and Yours). This network has been fantastic and everyone has shared such personal stories. I have a fairly thick goatee and since I shave almost everyday, Dr. Pittella wants me to share pics after a few weeks of no shaving to ensure I have the yield he needs to do his work (he will for sure). Right now, approx 10,500 grafts (guessing almost half from beard) planned. I'm between a NW 6 and 7. I've been using Rogaine Foam (Costco) for decades. I need to start looking for oral minoxidil as Dr. Pittella recommends that. I will also started taking a name brand supplement that has Biotin/D-3 and whole bunch of other stuff (Hair, Skin & Nails from Nature's Bounty. No one recommended, however, the ingredients just makes sense to me. Next, will receive the planning paperwork and of course will want the procedure done soonest as the clock tics faster for us older gents. Hoping for the best and it's been a lifetime (almost) of waiting. If all goes well, my journey may help older gents to finally take the leap. Thanks again to you all for blazing the way!

YodaHead, Perfect detailed response to my questions!! Very obvious to me that Dr. Pittella has huge demand and rightly so. I provided all the paper work and pics to his office 8 Nov and I'm still trying to get a video conference date. I have reached out via WhatsApp about every 2-3 weeks. The approx dates keep slipping and now it may be sometime in March. If any of you have other ideas on how to expedite this video meeting I'm all ears. FYI, I have been nothing but polite in any/all correspondence. My wife will be traveling with me from California and we look forward to the trip we just don't have any dates yet. I understand now through your experience and "pullingyourleg" that the actual procedure may take one year to sked. The hat question from pullingyourleg wrt to wearing anything on your head on the return flight was one I was thinking about too. Only two answers I suppose; something very loose doesn't touch the scalp or to just deal with it. Again, thank you very much.

Some questions if you don't mind; 1) Once you filled out and forwarded your application / paperwork, how long did it take for you to get your first video call with Dr. Pittella 2) Once you had your video call with Dr. Pittella, how many months did it take before the actual procedure I've been waiting to get my video conference with Dr. Pittella and trying understand average lead times. Digs49. FYI, the Pre-Surgical Planning paperwork I received 8 Nov 23 has two options; VIP Package. Dr. Pittella does Crucial Extractions, Hair Line Design, Pre-Incisions, and of course orchestrates. Junior Doctor does most of extraction and implantation). Prime Package. Dr. Pittella does everything except some implantation. I just haven't been notified of any changes. If only one package remains, it would not change my decision to proceed. Still patiently waiting on a firm video consultation date. Appreciate your comments! Thanks Much!

Digs49 Really appreciate your response! I understand all you've said. I've never heard of thermal water and just ordered some for XMAS gifts. Makes sense to use that as you don't want to irritate your scalp but need moisture. I'll just patiently wait and do occasional "I'm still here" comms with the Dr's staff. My wife will definitely come with me and we'll for sure go to Rio before the procedure. I've been there two other times solo with the military and know she'll love the views, food, beach, etc. In closing, what a great thing for you to wake up every morning and see the return of your younger self! All of us that are on deck for this procedure can't wait to get to the plate and see the transformation.
