You will always get people having different opinions and disagreeing with who is better especially if they have gone to one of them. You will never find the absolute top number 1 Dr. You can make comparisons forever. Either one is a good choice. You need to decide which one is the best choice for you

Thanks I decided to go with Dr. Nader as it's easier to get to him. He also spends like an hour planning on the hairline so that helps.

I just saw Dr. Nader. Originally, my appointment was scheduled for next year, but I managed to take a canceled slot. I chose Dr. Nader because of his excellent donor management and track record of successful outcomes. Both he and his wife, who is also a doctor, performed the extractions and implantation themselves. They have a team dedicated to preparing the grafts. Dr. Nader is an ethical practitioner who genuinely cares about his patients and delivers great results. If necessary, I wouldn't hesitate to seek treatment from him again. I hope this helps.

Thanks. You were lucky. I haven't seen any cancellations yet but I am on a standby list. I know it's only been a couple weeks but how's the repair job so far?

  3. I would really appreciate any feedback from those who have been to either Dr. Nader or Dr. Camacho. I know Dr. Nader is fully involved in the surgery but how involved is Dr. Camacho. I know he has another doctor there assist him and a team of technicians but I heard from someone who went there that Dr. Camacho was barely involved.

How is Camacho with donor management? Does he take a good amount of time to discuss the hairline with his patients? I already sort of have an idea of what my hairline should look like but I don't want him to rush through it just to get the procedure over with. Only my hairline needs to be done, the rest of my head is fine. I've seen some disappointing results with his crown work but thankfully I don't need anything done there and crown transplants are notoriously hard to get them right apparently.

Also unlike Nader who only gives you two nights in a hotel and no post wash, Bogota Hairlines gives you three nights in a hotel and a post operative wash the next day. Is an extra night in a hotel worth it to get some rest and recovery? I initially didn't want to go to Bogota because the hotel they use has no air conditioning, but it turns out they don't really need it because Bogota is surprisingly chilly being at least 8,000 feet above sea level.

What I'm thinking is depending on where my job situation goes, I should either wait until next year for Nader or if I should just go to Dr. Camacho who has plenty of availability and get it over with.

  4. I heard back from Dr. Nader from the initial consultation I sent him on March 31st and it said that 2000-2500 grafts would work for my receding hairline. I booked my spot for next year but now I have my concerns. A guy on Reddit told me he canceled his appointment as he landed in McAllen due to a lack of important basic communication with the clinic prior to the procedure and that Reynosa is a violent no go zone where people get killed. Plus I heard some people were not happy with Dr. Naders density on transplants.

  5. Now I have a new dilemma. I booked myself for Dr. Nader for next year but I keep getting conflicting reports here and on Reddit of who's better. Some people say Nader is better and Camacho is lousy or Nader is overrated and overpriced, doesn't have good hair density, completely lacking in communication and his clinic is in what is apparently a no go zone which recently had 27 people hatcheted to death.

I hate all this indecisiveness, it's stressing me out.

  6. I've heard back from Dr Nader and he suggested 2000-2500 grafts for my Norwood 2.5 receding hairline. I've decided to with him and 2000 graft option despite his higher prices as I feel the most comfortable with him. I've put in my reservation for the summer of next year and I'm on the standby list in case anything turns up. I'm glad there's no deposit fee so I can cancel in case something changes.

However a guy on Reddit told me he gave up on Nader right as he landed in McAllen due to lack of important communication prior to the surgery and that Reynosa is a no go zone where people get killed. Also I heard some people were unhappy with Dr. Naders density.

  7. Hey again, I'm the guy in the Jacksonville area. I don't know if you still check up on this thread.

It turns out I'm somewhere between a Norwood 2 and 3 and after considering all my options, I decided to go with Dr. Luis Nader in Reynosa, Mexico. He is a little over my budget and he doesn't have anything until next year but I feel the most comfortable with him and he's easy to get to. He said I would need anywhere from 2000 to 2500 grafts. Bicer is also really expensive but combined with flight costs, super long flights that are hard to find, transfers and accomodations costing extra it wasn't worth it.

If I were you, I’d keep checking his calendar daily. Ever since I’ve had access to his calendar in April, I’ve seen 6 different dates pop up in May and June this year. I believe he has dates blocked off just in case he’s not sure if he will be able to work or not. Also, they offer 15% discount if you pay all cash, Brenda confirmed this with me.

I decided to go ahead with Dr. Nader because I felt more comfortable with him and think 2000 grafts would be enough for what I need (a conservative, natural looking hairline restoration) and put my reservation in for the summer of next year. I'm on a standby as well for the later half of the year and the first half of next year.

  9. Not bad. I heard back from Dr. Nader and he also suggested 2000-2500 grafts. However it's just my hairline that needs restoring and not diffuse thinning. I'm somewhere between Norwood 2 and 3 with no real diffuse thinning or any other balding areas as far as I know. Despite being more expensive than Dr. Sergio Camacho, I decided to go with him as I just feel more comfortable going to him and I think I can afford it especially if I use his hotel and payment discounts. Between the two options of 2000 and 2500 grafts I decided to go with 2000 grafts since it's cheaper and I think that's all I would need for a natural conservative hairline. I've already placed my reservation for the summer of next year and put myself on the standby list in case anything turns up.

In regards to Nader, his prices have gone up. 2000 grafts are now $7453 USD and 2500 grafts are at $8750 USD. He does offer a reimbursement of $300USD for hotel and 10% discount if you pay half cash half credit card.

You ended up being absolutely right. I actually heard back from Dr. Nader, saying I would need between 2000-2500 grafts and the costs and discounts were exactly the same. Unfortunately he has nothing available until next year. Now I don't know if I should go with him or Bogota Hairlines.

  11. Well guess what? I ACTUALLY heard back from the hard to get a hold of Dr. Luis Nader about my consultation. Yeah, he actually responded to my email and said I could do with a hair transplant. The good news is that he said anywhere from 2000-2500 grafts (I'm somewhere between a Norwood 2 and 3) would be best for me and they still have discounts for staying 2 nights in a hotel in McAllen, Texas ($300 reimbursement off transplant) and a 10% discount for paying with half cash and half card. The bad news however is the price and availability. The PDF he sent said it would be $7453 for 2000 grafts or $8750 for 2500 grafts (ultimately that's about $3.60 per graft). And according to his calendar, he has LITERALLY nothing available until next year.

Dr. Sergio Camacho with Bogota Hairlines is only charging $2.70 a graft (wanted 2400-2800 grafts) and Bogota is still cheap and easy to get to for me. I don't know about his availability but Abraham his consultant has been generally responsive with my questions. At this point should I just go with Dr. Camacho as he's cheaper, easier to get to and still considered very good, or should I save up my money and wait until next year for Dr. Nader? I know he has cancellations but who knows when that will happen plus there are probably hundreds of people in front of me waiting to jump in on an appointment

  12. I'm assuming you're a woman going by your username so my recommendation is Dr. Ozlem Bicer as she is one of the most consistently best hair surgeons in Turkey. However she's not cheap. When I got my quote it was 6000 euros for up to 2000 grafts and the hotel and transfers cost extra. Good luck.

  13. It looks good so far. Personally I am no longer considering Dr. Yaman because I heard he only does the consultations and incisions, everything else he leaves to his techs. Even if he does supervise them, I want to have the peace of mind that a Dr. is involved in all stages not just supervising so if I did have to go to Turkey for a transplant I'm going with FUECapilar.

  14. An update to this based on the consultations I've had, I've decided if I need a transplant in the future, my first choice is Bogota Hairlines in Colombia. The prices are a little high but plane tickets are cheaper than Turkey and there is no jet lag since they're only an hour back. Dr. Luis Nader is still being considered if I I ever hear back from them and the price is fair. If I DID have to fly all the way to Turkey and pay roughly $1500 for a roundtrip ticket, I would go with  FUECapilar (Dr Turan or Dr Gur) since they are cheaper, include all hotel and transfers and still provide generally good results, a good balance.

Erkan Demirsoy and Ozlem Bicer seem to give excellent results but the base prices for surgery are way more expensive, plus transfers and accommodations are extra.

  15. I've decided I'm going to drop Dr. Ozlem Bicer and Erkan Demirsoy because they exceed my price point. She's just too expensive between of the cost of the procedure, plane tickets to Istanbul seem to hover around $1500, how long it takes to get there and all transfers and accommodations cost extra, even then you only get two nights.

I understand she's one the best and most ethical surgeons out there and I'm sure like all Turkish doctors she's great if you live in Europe where it's much cheaper and easier to get to Turkey. I understand the whole you shouldn't limit yourself to one geographic area but you have to understand I hate really long flights and jet lag so I'd rather go with Dr. Luis Nader in Mexico if I ever hear back from him and the price is fair or Bogota Hairlines in Colombia. If I REALLY needed to go to Turkey I would go with FUECapilar (Dr. Gur or Dr. Turan).

They're probably not that less expensive but they're significantly cheaper and easier to get to from Florida.

  16. Welcome to the site. Although I probably wouldn't recommend Dr. Aygin because he seems more like a hair mill. It's generally agreed on the Internet that the best Turkish doctors are Resul Yaman, Dogan Turan and Gokhan Gur with Fuecapilar, Erkan Demirsoy and Ozlem Bicer, all in Istanbul. If you go to Ankara, Abdul Muttalip Keser and Kaan Pekiner are highly regarded but hard to get a hold of.

  17. I just heard back from their consultant Abraham. He said the Doctor recommended between 2400-2800 grafts, the hotel and transfers and medications are included.

Unfortunately the prices have gone up with Dr. Camacho wanting $2.70 per graft and Dr. Pareja wanting $2.20 per graft. They have a new third option with a Dr. Gina Carranza for a fixed price of $5300. Not counting plane tickets which cost on average $350, I'm looking at spending anywhere between $5280 to $7560 depending on how many grafts are needed and who's the main doctor performing the procedure.

I'm disappointed that it's not much cheaper than going to Turkey. Still I'll probably go with them because Turkey takes forever for me to get to, round trip flights hover around the $1500 mark where I'm at and I hate spending a long time on airplanes and jet lag.

Also Dr. Nader hasn't got back to me and appears to be charging about $3.50 a graft. The good doctors are getting more expensive while the hair mills are still cheap. No wonder people go to these hair mills, it sucks.

  18. So it's looking more and more like Bogota Hairlines will be my choice if I ever get a hair transplant. Unfortunately it looks like Dr. Nader takes forever to reach and his prices and wait times have shot up while Turkey is too far away and plane tickets are really expensive. From what I've seen and heard Dr. Camacho and his team look like winners, the price is still a very good deal. I am aware that a couple of members on here didn't have a good experience with them, but it seems the positive cases outweigh the negatives. It appears all hair transplants are a crapshoot.
