  1. That's what he told me during our video consultation earlier this week.
  2. Hello all, I just had a consultation with Dr. Devroye, Dr. Jenard and Dr. Montesanti regarding an FUE beard-to-beard restoration. I was informed that Dr. Devroye is retiring very soon (well deserved after his contributions to the field), and by next year all procedures will be performed by either Dr. Jenard or Dr. Montesanti. I was originally quoted €5/graft, and that seems like a fair price for a surgeon of Dr. Devroye's standing, particularly after his proven results with this less common procedure. That said, does this still seem like a good price for a procedure conducted by the other two doctors? Though they were both very congenial and I have no doubts about their competence in general, I have been unable to find any documentation of their results with this procedure on the practice website, if they have performed it yet (it's less common), and don't feel as confident about going to them as I do about Dr. Devroye-- who has a longstanding reputation. Should I be exploring other options in the region, and if so, can anyone offer recommendations? The only other surgeon I have found whose track record compares to Dr. Devroye for this procedure is Dr. Barghouthi in Jordan, but he is a bit too far out of the way for me. Thanks!
  3. Hi, Dr. Devroye looks like he has excellent results with this procedure! Were the prices quoted including the exorbitant 25% Belgian VAT tax?
  4. Hello all, I appreciate the wealth of knowledge on this site. My question is a bit niche, as these are less common procedures: I'm trying to find the best surgeons for beard transplant/facial hair restoration. I've seen some very impressive results in this area on this site, particularly from a surgeon in Brussels. I've also seen a great deal of unimpressive work from many popular hair transplant surgeons and clinics in Turkey, where it seems common to transplant 3-4 hair grafts from an FUE donor site in the scalp and nape to the upper chin and mustache area, resulting in a very unnatural, sculpted appearance. This approach appears to result in sharp lines in inappropriate areas, and not something I would hope to achieve. The best surgeons that I have found for this procedure seem to focus on extracting less dense follicles from the neck area, and when necessary the pubis, to fill in the mustache and upper cheek, resulting in a much more natural appearance. They take the time, pre-surgically, to assess where to apply the densest grafts and if they require more grafts for these areas (I don't believe I would need this in my case) they go so far as to split them microscopically. They also take time to assess angulation of the follicles to ensure the most natural result. Keeping in mind that this is a less common procedure, is anyone aware of a really pre-eminent surgeon in this field in Turkey or Mexico? It seems very difficult to determine which practices and doctors are not associated with "hair mills," particularly for beard transplantation. I am considering the United States, though my total budget is $10-15k and I am unsure that I can find a surgeon who is able to work within that budget domestically. Many thanks!
