  1. Hey, don't be so hard on yourself! This thread is a hidden gem, not just for me but probably for many others too. I'm really glad to follow your updates and can't wait to see how much it grows in the coming months! Things are really starting to take off, so keep sharing your progress!
  2. No problem man, thank you! I hope we both will have a satisfactory consultation with Dr Pinto as well
  3. I would highly advise you to confirm those statements with the patient coordinator Emilio. As I said this is what I would do… it is a big difference in price
  4. I’m just telling you this to warn you about what could be the real price, man. Otherwise if you plan everything based on the 2.60€/graft price you may find an unpleasant surprise when the time to pay comes… if I was you I would just clear my doubts with the patient coordinator Emilio
  5. Yep, if you take the place of another person who cancels last minute in 2024 you can pay 15% less at about 2.95€/graft, but no way his standard price is 2.60€/graft.
  6. I have an appointment with Dr Pinto planned for February 2025 and the current price is certainly not 2.60€ per graft. The standard price is 3.45€ per graft
  7. Awesome, this is exactly what I was talking about. I can see all those wispy hair growing! With your wavy hair texture it is going to be really dense for the little amount of grafts that was implanted
  8. Mmh are you taking pics with the selfie camera? Maybe you could try asking someone else taking the pictures with your main camera.
  9. Also I would really like to see nice close ups of the hairline, best with a high quality camera. This way we can judge Pinto’s work more objectively.
  10. Great, you’re only at the beginning of regrowth mate. In 2 months you will be a different person! Seat back and enjoy the regrowth
  11. It’s starting to grow mate, keep going!! I just scheduled an in-person assessment with doctor Pinto for February 2025 😁
  12. Thank you a lot!!! That is an awesome work of art, you did a great choice going with Dr. Ferreira! I’m sure this post will help a lot of people here 🙏🏼
  13. It would be awesome if you were able to post some pictures in front of a direct light and from different angles, possibly with your hair pulled back! thank for your post, it is really helpful for us still researching and this is giving me hope 🙏🏼
  14. I would ask him about how he plans the medical treatment of his patients and what are his preferred options regarding medications
  15. I would consult with a third physician, ideally a highly regarded dermatologist specialised in thricology, if you want to hear a highly experienced opinion. Check out the Spanish group of dermatologist in Madrid led by Dr. Serjo Vaño, some of them as Dr. Muñoz also offer online consultations. I am a last year Italian medical student doing my thesis in dermatology regarding alopecia areata and I can guarantee you that, at least at the moment, they are at the forefront of hair research in Europe and globally. I am advising to consult specifically with one of them because they were the doctors that introduced low dose oral minoxidil in the hairloss niche back in 2017, so they have more experience more than anyone else. Hope it can help
  16. From my experience it is more a matter of your body adjusting to the drug reaching a new homeostasis. Indeed, if it is not something that impair your day to day life majorly, I would suggest you to try pushing through for another month.
  17. @Otis james would you be so kind to PM me Emilio’s number as well? Thank you!
  18. Wow stunning result from only 5 months of medications, you will definitely improve more. About dutasteride, did you notice any difference regarding your libido? Like morning wood and in general your sexual arousal? Are you taking 0.5 mg every day?
  19. Very nice, I will have a look to your thread for sure! Yeah, sorry for interrupting the discussion, this will be the last message not inherent to this thread.
  20. I think he’s referring to this case: However it doesn’t look as a failed surgery at all to me, the temple points look really good in my opinion. It just needs to mature a little more and to let the contrast between the darker hairs and the skin to fade away.
  21. My opinion may not be popular but I find Ferreira’s work much more natural than Couto’s. He seems to do almost always really aggressive work and does not seem to build a long term plan in regards to AGA evolution. Apart from a case here in the forum, Ferreira seems equal if not better at recreating temple points and seems also more conservative building a real long term plan for the patient. Plus the one thing I cannot get over is placing units in straight lines as he thought to De Freitas, indeed they use the same implantation pattern. If hypothetically one would cut his hair really short that would be visible and honestly I wouldn’t be happy after having waited more than 3 years for the operation… However someone that went to Couto may reply talking more about his long term plans…
  22. Well I’m really happy for you! I basically received the exact same emails you did. I am already on their cancellation shortlist and they contacted me as well on November, however, even if I’m not that far away (Italy), I was not able to go with such a close notice. I hope I will be able to get an appointment in the next few months, for now I will be happy to follow your journey! It would be interesting to see your starting situation and the plan that you discussed with Dr. Ferreira.
