@Turkhair If you can’t behave civil without attacking members you won’t be allowed to post. We can all have differing views. This is my last warning. You have already been warned twice before.

Ok boss. I haven’t been rude anywhere, just showing evidence of how he struggles so much and clearly misunderstood my post due to his negative preconceived notions about beard transplant and poor English.

But fine. Seems like even defending myself gets me a warning so I will move on.

He is already coming to the topic with the notion that “respect beard transplant”. If you look for something wrong then you will find it.  He thinks that I am against beard transplants because in his mind nobody respects it but I only told him that nobody looks at beards and they are the easiest to do because of it. Any surgeon can do it. He compares it to baldness, I say that’s absurd comparison. In his mind, I am disrespecting his beard transplant decision.

It doesn’t help that his English isn’t very good either so he thinks I am mocking him.

Yeah this is absurd x million times. Read my posts again.

    Guys,

Please be respectful, we can disagree while respecting someone else’s opinion.

That’s unfair. I haven’t insulted him or even rude to him. I simply said his statement comparing baldness to beards is so absurd I don’t have words to explain how absurd this is.

He clearly doesn’t understand English and has very basic grasp of it. He thinks I am mocking him for getting a beard transplant and found it insulting - “when I simply said his comparison was absurd”. It’s his lack of comprehension of English language that caused him to feel offended and whine. Punishing me for someone else’s lack of understanding is unfair.

This is a fact, he titled the topic with “Is Are hair transplants…” which shows how much he struggles with basic English grammar and statements.

I find your warning completely absurd and ridiculous. Calling someone’s comparison absurd doesn’t mean insulting him or not respecting his opinion. He’s not a new member. I am not rude either, I get likes daily by new members who appreciate my honest replies in this BS hair transplant industry full of liars.

Hello, I am using finasteride and minoxidil. I am wondering if finasteride alone would be enough for my hair. I am getting terrible dark eyebags and wrinkles under my eyes, I have never had this before and I noticed it for a month already, I take minox for 4 months. I am 25. Should I try to use come kind of eye repair cream? Im quite worried because I recovered my crown with minoxidil, but my face is starting to look old.

It’s a known side effect of minoxidil due to causing collagen issues.

  5. Beards are always weird looking in nature. You get ginormous variety.

Thinned, with bald spots, dense and full, dense somewhere and bald elsewhere etc etc

Nobody cares about your beard. It seems there’s a paranoid obsession in recent years with beards and now everyone wants to have a beard. When I was growing up few decades ago, nobody ever wanted to keep a beard.

I think beard transplants are the easiest to do just because nobody looks at them and they are already weird looking.

Yet another update: I do not wish to ever fly to Turkey or anywhere far outside the US to get a hair transplant as I'm currently in Rome, Italy on vacation with my parents and I got jet lag bad. I couldn't really sleep on the flight over and now I'm feeling the effects. Try to never fly coach when traveling internationally. If I do ever travel abroad again, I will definitely try and get business class seats.

    You’re restricting your options then.

What an odd study. For the subset of people who suffered sexual side effects, they also had reduced alcohol consumption when taking the drug, and that continued afterwards? The study size was just over 80 people and there wasn't a control group.

I'm not sure id be comfortable drawing too many conclusions based on that finding!

    It’s interesting nonetheless.

Maybe this explains why some people get depressive sides from fin? Withdrawing from alcohol can be depressing on its own.

Hi guys, thank you all for your advice. I decided to go for the compromise suggested by @Scree, where I take the medication in topical form. Psychologically, I feel it's better than popping a pill. I decided to go for a spray, and right now, in my daily routine, I am viewing it as a step similar to when I style my hair (what's left of it anyways 😅). So instead of popping on gel, I pop on a bit of spray. Let's call it a "miraculous hair mousse". 😂 Also, applied topically, it seems to be safer from the pov of side effects. And to me that's kind of a win-win situation. Less messing around with my body. Whilst the pill is a direct hit in the blood stream, this is just hair.

I also kind of see the point of view of @hybonix. Since I am kind of sitting on the fence at the moment, I can start applying this routine. If I can't stick to it, then it kind of rules out the hair op and I gotta accept my hair loss (basically in line with what you all said) because it would be a waste of time, energy and money. Truth is this whole hair thing is messing me up a bit more than I'd like to admit. I had a friend who was going bald. He eliminated it; shaved it. He got heaps of praise ("wow, you look good / cool" etc etc). I shaved off my head thinking, "hey, that's an easy solution". Hell no. I got quite the opposite reaction. Didn't help at all.

    Thanks anyways.

You should take oral Finasteride at 38 anyway for prostate health even if low dose.

Also I think you need to understand something.

The logic of taking medication for life applies to people who have hairs or hair that looks clearly miniaturised looking on the way to disappear. Those people get a HT with miniaturised hair transplanted, without medication these hairs would fall out. But those hairs would fall out even if they didn’t have a HT

HTs are also permanent. What happens when you don’t take medication is the DHT indifferent hairs graft will survive while the miniaturised hairs will fall off creating weird looking result.

You don’t need medication if you’re already NW6/7 with stabilised hairloss for years which it seems you already are. You need medication if you’re a NW3/4/5 with clear miniaturised hairs everywhere in pattern of NW6.

  9. My dad uses whatever soap he can find and still is NW0 😂

All of these are just marketing nonsense. Ketaconazole 2% has some effect but you’ve to leave it on for several minutes for it to be absorbed.

Caffeine doesn’t do anything, I should know I probably take 500mg of it per day, I would’ve never gone bald if it did anything.

Save your money and use some cheap shampoo or just ketaconazole 2%
