  1. @Odysseus My crown was so bad, no medicine would fix it. Hopefully you're a responder to minox and finasteride. As far as the scar being fixed. You can get a travel/U shaped pillow like for your neck. and sleep on that, with the surgical cap on. I think that would be fine. Eugenix gave me one to sleep on. If you're going all the way to India, I would knock it all out at once.
  2. Thanks @Eugenix Hair Sciences and @A_4_Archan, the SMP makes a difference. Without the transplant, the SMP was useless, but now that hair is coming in, its a camouflage. I used https://picassojeff.com/ in Los Angeles and a second treatment in Orlando with https://vanguardsmp.com/ if anyone wonders. With my predisposition and I'm age 39. I don't "need" to be on Oral Minoxidil right? I would prefer to take minimum medication. Even though the finasteride seems useless, I don't want to risk going off of it. Looking forward to a 6 month, 9 month and year check in.
  3. Thought I would post a 3 and a half month check-in from Eugenix. I'm past the "ugly duckling" phase. I'm pretty encouraged, I had a decent fill in of my thin hair line and honestly am satisfied with my frontal look as-is. I still have visible thining in the crown which was my main reason for the HT. I hope to see more growth in coming months. But considering I had a full on bald spot before. I have an illusion of hair now, super happy since I no longer use hair fibers. I just rock my thin hair. The small SMP in my crown area helps to fill in any flesh color visible. It's a good "illusion" of hair. I've been on oral Minoxidil and finasteride. I'm going to stay on finasteride and probably stop the minoxidil. Medications never seemed to do much for me, and am curious to see what my hair looks like at a year with just the finasteride. Great decision so far.
  4. @Z-- Until my hair grows back out full length on the sides it’s hard to tell if my density became harmed from back/sides since I have so little donor. It actually might work out I didn’t do the scar and use more dwindling supply. In a perfect world I could rock a high and tight and have no scar. Good luck on your procedure.
  5. @meadows As someone who lacked many options like you. Eugenix seems like the place to go, just make sure your requests are on the white board. I’m cautiously optimistic.
  6. 21 days in. In the "Ugly ducking" stage. I did not have mid-scalp implantation due to limited donor. Hoping as it all grows out I will have good and front and back coverage as top view isn't as important to me.
  7. UPDATE 4/21: Eugenix reached out and offered to fix my prior FUT scar 🤗 I'm going to wait a year to do my follow-up pictures at the same time. In summary, I think just 11 days out, my healing is great and I look like I have a fresh shaved head where I used to have a receded hairline and bald spot. I HIGHLY recommend their expertise and speciality for advanced balding over the Turkey clinics that most often cannot be trusted for these delicate cases. I recommend patients confirm any requests recorded on the whiteboard before anything in the procedure start, that way everyone is on the same page. Ask if the Doctor doing the initial planning/incision is able to review your final result before the procedure ends? Or any available doctor, and confirm the requests on the whiteboard are completed. Thanks for the great after care customer service @Eugenix Hair Science! I will be posting pictures up to the end in a year, and possibly re-creating this post in a new posting in a year with a more clear/concise timeline.
  8. @DeltaV I’m 90% happy. Eugenix does what other clinics are unwilling to do, use beard hair on nw6/7’s. And my procedure was “good” so far. Just more money and time/travel to go back to my FUT doctor to cover his own scar. All of this could be avoided if Eugenix changes their process to have Doctor review final result before the station cleanup happens.
  9. @A_4_Archan I noticed others saying that the results are great but the lack of Doctor involvement is becoming more common. I think they are trying to automate too much of the procedure when there should be checkpoints with the original planning Doctor at the middle and at the end.
  10. @Rafael Manelli It was agreed to verbally, it was never drawn on the planning board. And no doctor consulted with me at the end of the procedure. The techs scurried around and closed out the station. Its not acceptable that the original doctor is not there at the end to confirm all aspects.
  11. @Gatsby I was a little disorientated at the end. The fail was that the original doctor I asked to have my FUT covered with, was gone at the end. And everyone just started cleaning the station and packing up to leave when I was asking about my scar and Das ignored my concern. It slipped through the cracks because the original doctor said it would be an option once the rest of the agreed areas were completed, and he never wrote it on the planning board. So yeah, I now need to go to a different clinic to fix the remaining issue. But otherwise I'm looking forward to the regrowth.
  12. Thanks for the compliment. It’s bizarre, all of Eugenix’s recent IG posts of patients look phenomenal. They totally transform almost completely bald people that most clinics will turn down. Yet when it comes to small details, they miss out on communicating properly. I think part of this has to do with the language barrier. Not everyone there speaks English perfectly. I have seen several other people complaining about the lack of involvement by the doctors, and the fact that very young technicians are doing most of the procedure without a Doctor necessarily supervising. I liked the Doctor who did my slits, I didn’t catch his name but it wasn’t Das. Dr Sethi and Arika were 100% gone, I never saw them in the clinic. In my case I had very young techs, but they were very nice, and seemed to have done a competent job.
  13. Thanks Surf. This nightmare is finally hopefully close to being over. Eugenix is a God Send. I don't care for short hair, I got SMP from Picasso in LA and Vanguard SMP in Orlando, and it never looks perfect unless a person goes full shaved. Appreciate the compliment. I can't wait to have my FUT scar covered with FUE and be able to rock a High and Tight hair cut, short on the side and long on top. 😎 I have very aggressive balding, but hopefully at 39, the worst is over and I'm starting on oral minoxidil too from Strut in addition to the finasteride, seeing how that goes..
  14. Hi all, Documenting my journey with Eugenix. I had a FUE 1000 grafts done in Bellevue, WA in my late 20's for my hairline, being naive. In a few years after that my hair receded behind my hairline because I was not consistently on Finasteride. I had Dr. McGrath in Austin, TX do a strip surgery to fill in density of my hairline, enhancing the prior procedure (guessing 2000+ grafts). I am now 39 years old and despite taking finasteride daily (have not responded well to the pill). I had a terrible bald spot on my crown and further thinning in my hairline I was turned down by Dr. Nusbaum in Miami for lack of donor hair. After following JT and Spencer Korban from baldtruth, I caught wind of Eugenix and their instagram, that specializes in NW6/7 cases. They provided consult over WhatsApp and said I WAS a candidate using my beard hair. I had 1500 taken from my beard and 2010 from scalp this month. They were able to density fill my hairline and cover my crown bald spot. I selected the 2nd package from lowest that included hotel and taxi, for a better Doctor overseeing my case. My only complaint is that I asked for my FUT scar to be covered during the planning, and they said since its only 125 grafts that they could do it. At the end, Dr. Das ignored my concern and told me to just "grow it out" over the scar. I felt like she was dismissive of my concern. Complaint: The original planning doctor who did my slits was completely missing at the end of my procedure which I felt was disheartening. From the planning stage with the doctor I only really saw the technicians and Nurse. I now likely will have to go back to my original FUT surgeon, McGrath to do the small FUE on the scar to cover it, rather than spend money and travel back to Delhi, India. McGrath uses beard too as I understand it. This is frustrating to now have to undergo a 4TH procedure with FUE and more downtime/social consequences because my concern was not addressed at the end at Eugenix. My scar is very thin but still very obvious and disfiguring, I want it covered. Compliment: I am however very thankful for the coverage they provided and feel like they're the only/best well known option for aggressive baldness cases since they are so willing to use body hair. Other clinics for some reason don't like using beard/body.. I'm optimistic this is going to fill in very nicely given the placement of the units. Navigating some of the communication barrier is tricky but I think they figured out a good model to help folks like myself who would normally be turned down. I love being able to rub my hand on my where my bald spot used to be, and feeling little prickly hairs I appreciate any feedback and questions! BEFORE: Surgery Day: 9 DAYS:
  15. I had a FUT strip by McGrath and i also had a gap on one side of my hairline. I just had more FUE work done by Eugenix in India and they mentioned that the hairline was not straight and they noticed that there was hair missing on one side. Disheartening to see your case is similar to what I experienced there.
