  1. Bill, I just looked at your blog. What an amazing job they all did. 3 HT's you've gone through. You did a great job documenting it all.
  2. Thanks, Dew. I will ask. They took several shots that day.
  3. Thanks guys. Yes, it's blurry. That's what happens when you drop your digital camera too many times. I have a new one now, which is why the after shots are so nice. They took pics at Epstein's office the day of. If I can get those emailed to me, I can post so you can see the grafts in better details.
  4. hairbank: The first pic I posted was the day of the procedure. It was taken in Epstein's office. The subsequent pics were taken today--nine months later. I didn't document my progress by taking pictures monthly. Do I have more hair now than I did back in July--absolutely. I was looking at pictures of me back in 2000, and I'm pretty much back to the hairline I had then, if not better.
  5. I was between a 2 and 3 on the norwood scale.
  6. Here I am today, 9 months post op. Hair still on the long side. I also started taking propecia after the HT. I take it EOD. Had I not done the HT, I would be in very bad shape by now. I started noticing an acceleration of hair loss in the frontal area leading up to the date of the HT. I am not a cosmetic surgery kind of guy, or a vain guy for that matter, but the hair loss really started to frustrate me. My wife convinced me to do something about it.
  7. This is the day of procedure. Sorry it's a little blurry. I kept my hair long for the procedure so it wouldn't be so obvious. Only my wife knows I had a HT. I had 1700 grafts done. I wanted to get head start on my hair loss and wanted to do something right away before it was noticeable that I had something done.
  8. Sure. I'll take some pics today. I'm 9 months post op. I'll try to post the day of picture and today picture this weekend.
  9. Nik: I did recently sign up. I had been a viewer on this site on and off for some time. When people started to post specific reviews on Dr. Epstein, I felt like I had to share my personal experience, which happened to be a positive one.
  10. I had a great experience with Dr. Epstein also. I had my HT last July and am very happy with my results so far. When I recently visited Dr. Epstein's office for a post procedure follow up, he told me I still had 20% more growth coming. No one knows I had this done b/c I did it at just the right time. Dr. Epstein is an artist at achieving a natural hairline. If I had to do this over again, I would choose Dr. Epstein.
  11. I'm sorry you are unhappy, kevkristy & female hair loss. Consider meeting with Dr. Epstein about your specific issues. He is an honest person and is very committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure you are satisfied with your results. I know you don't want me to say "be patient," but.... Everyone is different, and it's been 6 months. Personally, I had 1700 grafts with Dr. Epstein last July. It's been 9 months, and I'm very happy with my new hair. Since I have a sensitive scalp, I have only been taking Propecia which I started just after my transplant. I noticed hair regrowth about 3 months after my HT. When I first met Dr. Epstein, he was very thorough and straightforward with regard to the procedure itself and expectations of hair regrowth post procedure. He has very specific instructions on what to do and what not to do (ie not wearing hats after surgery....I waited one month; not exercising....I waited two weeks). I was extra cautious when it came to the post procedure instructions because I wanted to make sure I did not ruin any of the newly implanted grafts. And, I found his techs to be highly skilled and professional. Their casual conversation actually made me feel at ease and confident in their ability to do their job. I was there for several hours after all. Are they supposed to be silent? Overall, it was a very positive experience and I highly recommend Dr. Epstein to anyone who is considering a HT.
