  1. His clinic only has surgeons work on patients, they only do 1-2 surgeries per day, produce consistently good results, and are much much easier for me to travel to than any other single clinic on the forum's recommended list!
  2. Hi there, 28 year old, Norwood 5 (I think? pictures attached) with pretty severe recession in the frontal area. In speaking with Dr. Camacho's clinic, they've recommended 2 separate surgeries - 3,000 to start, and an additional 1,500 - 2,500 after a year. The clinic has also said that while it *is* an option to extend the surgery to 2 days and do 4,000 grafts at once, they wouldn't recommend it since "it will be more difficult to maximize the donor that way. Also, it can take a toll on you to go for a mega surgery 2 days in a row, a lot of anesthesia and discomfort." I've seen plenty of people on here who go for 4,000 grafts in a single surgery, and I was wondering if it would be a truly bad idea to ask them for a full 4,000 over 2 days. It will be significantly more difficult to return for a second transplant after a year due to my life/career circumstances, and I would love to accomplish my (somewhat conservative) goals with a single trip if possible. I intend on requesting a conservative/deeper widow's peak hairline (something like this), and am not especially concerned with the thin appearance of my crown so much as filling in the front area that is currently completely bald hold for a small forelock. I'm not currently on any medications as fin has traditionally produced side effects. I intend on giving it another shot on half dosage and starting minoxidil 3-4 months ahead of surgery. Thank you in advance!
  3. Interesting that they even have an option where Dr. Pareja performs the entire procedure, right? Considering a normal full-day procedure usually involves both doctors? Thank you for the insight! It seems as though it might be worth the significant savings to go with Dr. Pareja considering she assists in almost every procedure regardless and the two collectively produce good results?
  4. So is that to say that you don't think there would be a significant disadvantage to having the procedure done 100% by Dr. Pareja, since her package does not involve Dr. Camacho in the design/extraction/implantation process?
  5. Hi there - I recently posted pictures on Reddit to determine whether I was a good candidate for a HT, and I'm now further along in the research process and attempting to decide between the two packages available at Bogota Hairlines. Dr. Sergio Camacho runs the clinic and is one of the 2 doctors in South America recommended by Hair Restoration Network. He does great work, performs all of the extraction and implantation between himself and his partner (also a surgeon), and limits surgeries to 3,000 grafts per day. The clinic only performs 1-2 surgeries per day maximum. The other surgeon is Dr. Paola Pareja. There are fewer examples of work that was performed exclusively by her, but she works under the direct supervision of Camacho and was presumably trained by him directly. She also performs extraction and implementation alongside Camacho for all of his surgeries. So, the clinic offers. two options (here's the informational flyer they sent me, also attached): Option 1: "Surgery Plan" and hairline design by Dr. Camacho. Extraction and Implantation performed by both Dr. Camacho and Dr. Pareja. Price: $2.50/graft, $7,500 total**.** Option 2: "Surgery Plan" by Dr. Camacho. Hairline design by Dr. Pareja. Extraction and implantation performed by Dr. Pareja only. Price: (fixed up to 3,000 grafts) $5,400 total. My question for those who have insight: how critical is it to have Dr. Camacho be directly involved with the extraction and implantation process? Is it likely that Dr. Pareja performs very similar work to Dr. Camacho by virtue of having trained under him and worked with him directly on all of his transplants? I will likely require a second surgery of 1,500 - 2,500 grafts after a year, and would really like to keep the overall cost down without sacrificing quality if possible. I also keep my hair longer and swept down, so the look of the hairline itself is not absolutely critical like it might be with some guys who wear their hair pulled up with the hairline visible. Apologies for the long post, and thank you in advance!
