  1. Hi all -- I want to post this because I saw a post on Reddit asking about Dr. Sean Benhan. The individual had put a deposit down but had until Thursday to get their money back. They were frantic. Of the four comments, three said "don't go to him" but left no explanation. I got in touch via private messages and shared my experience and some pictures, which I've shared below. I told him "I will scream from the heavens about my positive experience, but ultimately, you can't rush into something. Pull your deposit and do more research. You know how he made you feel in your consult, so keep that in mind when exploring." That being said, the only reviews I've read on forums like this have been negative, which is unfortunate, because he renewed my faith in doctors as a whole. That being said, I wanted to sprinkle some positivity into the mix and share my exceptional experience and results. LIke many of you, I reached a point where a hat became a crutch. If I made reservations at a nice restaurant, I'd cringe the entire time because all I could think of was my hair. I was sick of it. I am 32. I have a very young looking face, a full beard (but very thin and not enough to counteract a shaved head), and to top it all off, a very, very small head. Bald is not a look I'll ever pull off. I have decent hair other than my mid-scalp, which gave up on life (do you blame it with the current state of the world?) Anyway, it took me two months to get a consult with Dr. Sean. While I was waiting, I came down with a nasty bout of Covid. I lost 15 pounds and experienced lingering symptoms for two months following. After Covid and while still healing, I met Dr. Sean Benhan. We talked about the procedure and my expectations. He mentioned "you won't get hair like Elvis, I hope we're clear." He wanted to gauge if my expectations were realistic before moving forward. After that, he checked my donor area and stopped within a second. "Have you had Covid recently?" I said, "yes, how can you tell?" He went on to tell me that my donor area was dead and I was not a good candidate for surgery at this time. He spent, and I'm not exaggerating, one hour with me (until 7:00 pm and his staff had left) talking to me about a diet plan. He gave me a list of vitamins, and some alternative options to help my hair and ultimately heal. He said to call back in six months. I followed the regimen to a T. I gained my weight back and was surprised how healthy my hair got and how much it grew from just vitamins, protein, and my gym routine. I was in town on business three months later, so I made an appointment to check my progress. I looked healthy and felt great. I thought, "hm, I'll just see if I've made progress." He was in shock -- he hardly recognized me. "I can't believe how healthy you look! When you left, I thought about you. You looked so sick. I was genuinely concerned." In a mere three months, my hair and life changed from his diet plan & vitamin regimen. This was in April. My procedure was scheduled for August 23rd. The day arrived -- I was nervous, excited, and knew I was embarking on a journey to one-up God's plan and steal my confidence back. He extracted 2,041 hairs through an FUE procedure. Most were 3's. Some 2's, and barely any 1's. He said this was excellent. Throughout the process, he was a rock star. Very attentive. Unlike anything I've experienced with any doctor. After eight grueling hours, he gave me medication, his personal phone number, and told me to come back tomorrow. Oh boy... Once that numbing wore off, it was on FIYAHH. After the post-op, he texted me every day for TWO WEEKS straight asking how I was. Everything was textbook and went according to plan. He's gone above and beyond in my journey. I went to my three-month appointment recently as I was in town and he was shocked how much hair has grown. He said I'm ahead of schedule and was impressed with my progress. However, before the appointment concluded, my wife was with me and had mentioned she's having some hair issues as of late. He examined her (free of cost), ordered labs and medication (free of cost), and schedule a follow-up (free of cost). He was concerned and wanted to make sure it was nothing serious. He didn't have to do that. Another instance of him going above and beyond - a few weeks ago, my primary doctor was out and I couldn't get medication unless I made an appointment three days later, so my Mom suggested asking Dr. Sean. He called it into my pharmacy within five minutes of my text. He did NOT have to do that. These are just some examples of the type of doctor he is and what how he's shaped this journey. However, I know none of that matters if he doesn't produce positive results, so I've attached two pictures. Both are exactly three months post-op. For the sake of this, I wish I had more, but I didn't take pictures before/after because I genuinely didn't care. (He has them at his office I can get next time I go.) Personally, I don't want to remember this and just want it to be over, but am sharing these now because I want Dr. Sean to be someone people say GO TO HIM. One of is the donor area, the other of the recipient area. My biggest fear after the surgery was complete was noticing the donor area and how many hairs were extracted. Again, my head is small, and 2,000 hairs is a lot. Fortunately, Dr. Sean was a wizard and did not over-extract. The hair in the recepient area, which was bald, has grown in quite a bit for three months. He shaped it juuuuuust right. While I did suffer some shock loss, it's improving with time. Also, I do not take min/fin -- only vitamins and a clean diet. I know most are against that approach, but as you can see, opting for a more natural approach was the best option for my body. Also, my head was completely shaved for the surgery. I shaved it after the surgery becuase it was pretty gross. Alright. Let's bring this long post home. I give Dr. Sean a 10/10 for procedure, bedside manner, and the results up until this point. He is an exceptional doctor and I will be going back to fill in some other areas I'm not happy with because of how easy he made this process. Thanks for your time & Happy Holidays.
