  1. Here's month 5 pics. I'm pretty sure I can start to see the hairline getting more defined, and maybe the front/top a little fuller in general. The crown doesn't seem like its at the same stage as the front...I've been told the crown sometimes takes longer to kick in, so hoping that's the case.

Anyway, I'm not really looking any more on a daily basis, maybe once a week to see if I can notice any changes.

I've been letting my hair grow, so Its a bit hard to compare pics and see the changes...but here they are in any case... and please excuse the crazy 'blocking', not very good at that stuff!

  2. Thanks for chiming in!  Looking forward to your 4 month mark.

I'm in the same boat concerning more in the front hairline and less for the rest. They asked me, and they did what I asked. I'm still good with my decision...I also have to remember that all/most of the hairs in the front are the single grafts, and the ones in the middle and back are 2/3 grafts, so even though the front looks like 'more', at the end of the day the thickness should even out (fingers crossed). My guess is that I'll do a second HT sometime down the road, but I'll wait at least a year if not a few years to see how the aging 'normal' hairs and new hairs mingle.

I'm at 5 weeks now and most/all of the transplanted hairs have shed (I can tell the ones that haven't because they are sticking straight up). I used to look closely in the mirror everyday, but now its every few days and trying not to pay too much attention...almost pretending that nothing happened.

Good luck to all of us!!

  3. Hi all, so I've been on this site for a few months (thank you so much) and am now 3 weeks post HT and wanted to share myself.

I went to Bogota Hairlines and had Dr Pareja and another Dr (I forget her name, but she is also a Dr.) do my surgery. I had originally sent pics with longer hair and was told I'd need 3000-3200 grafts. I buzzed my head a few weeks before the HT, and upon seeing me in person, Dr Pareja told me that just my crown alone could use 3000 grafts. The crown is the main reason I went, but the front and mid were also thinning and starting to get a little patchy. I was asked how I would like my grafts to be alloted and I decided 2000 for the crown and the rest for the hairline and mid scalp.

They used 800 singles for the hairline, then worked their way back with 2's and 3's. The whole procedure took 8 hours with a half hour lunch break. The numbing injections were painful, as you all know:), but while doing my hairline, it was also painful. I know I could have asked for more anesthetic, but I was worried about having too much 'ballooning' afterwards, so I decided to deal with the pain vs the freakishness later! There were also parts of the procedure that were totally painless which was nice.

Overall the whole thing went really well I believe. Everyone was really nice and made sure I was OK. Dr Pareja didn't give too much info on the day of, but was happy to answer any questions I had. I would have been more in the dark had I not done a ton research before hand. The rest of the staff is also super helpful and respond via WhatsApp quickly to any questions/concerns.

I don't want to go into crazy detail, but will be happy to answer any questions anyone has!!

I'll try to put up pics:

    - Before

    - Just after HT

    - 1 week

    - 2 weeks

    I love this forum...soooo helpful

  5. Looking good!!

My countdown has begun, will be in with Dr Pareja a week from today…already in Colombia (Medellin). Thought I might as well get some tourist time while I’m travelling anyway.

Starting to get excited/nervous:) Your posts and results are def making this a smoother ride for me🙏🏼👍

  6. Hi guys, thanks for sharing all the info!

im going in 3 weeks (April 4) for my surgery (Dr Pareja) This is def an anxiety producing event. I don’t think anyone gets this far without a lot of thought, research, and bit of gambling involved. But even with all the research etc, I’m still nervous. Every time I’m totally confident about have this done (procedure and clinic), little waves of anxiety and mild panic make me want to back out!!

thanks again and please keep us posted!!

@Iceee222 Was there a long wait period before you were able to schedule a surgery date?

I got in touch with them in November and in January made a surgery date for first week of April. Seems like they are busy, but not too far out. My surgery will be with Dr Pareja, who was available a couple weeks sooner than Dr Camacho

  8. Lookin good so far! Please keep us posted...

I just put my deposit to have Dr Pareja do mine as well... going in first week of April. They think I'll need 3000-3200 grafts (but obvs wont know until there in person)

I'm glad to see some of her work since it seems most of the work on the forum here is shown by Dr Camacho. I figured if she trained under him and represents the clinic, she must be pretty good herself.

I'd love to see more work of hers if anyone has had her work on them:)

I went with Dr. Camacho. But, even if you go with Camacho, Dr. Pareja does assist substantially in the procedure as well. I have full faith in both of them tbh. I decided since Camacho had been doing this longer, I went with him for the hairline design and to get his expertise since this was the first time I was ever doing it and wanted to make sure I gave myself the most potential. I spoke to others that went with just Dr. Pareja and were also very happy with the results. I think it's one of those things similar to Eugenix where the higher priced packages are with people who are more experienced, but also Dr. Pareja has been doing this for several (7+?) years so she's certainly very well-qualified. It was just a personal preference for me to want to have Dr. Camacho design the hairline, and do some of the extractions/implantations, especially since my job requires me to go face-to-face with a lot of people all the time.

Ok, good to know... thanks for the explanation!
