@simple32019 im really sorry to hear about this. When I read the title to this thread, I thought the results were going to be poor solely based on the fact that no ethical doctor would operate on a 20 yr old, but I still held out hope and was optimistic. Unfortunately, my senses were right and your story is a tale as old as time itself in terms of botched hair transplants.

I am a repair patient myself, and a cold hard truth I learned is that for every botched hair transplant, you likely need 2 (in really horrible cases 3) repair surgeries to correct everything.

The only treatment for bad angles is excision. Camouflaging with new grafts will not stop the bad angle from revealing itself. Removing bad angles often takes numerous surgeries due to the sheer volume of bad grafts involved and the need to minimize scarring. Removed grafts are then re-implanted elsewhere at a correct angle

You can always do electrolysis and kill off the grafts outright but grafts are finite and who knows if they will be needed later.

@Pbaird98 @5BetaReductase what clues lead you to believe its the Bay Area doctor? I personally can't tell, but do you guys see a cornrow implantation pattern?

OP, for the FUE did the doctor only take hair from one side of your donor? If so then we know who it is.

Regardless, you are doing yourself no favors by keeping the clinic anonymous. That's exactly what the doctor and clinic want you to do - to suffer in silence and go away.

By naming the doctor, you are doing a tremendous service to this community and helping others avoid this path. Not only that, but doctors and their patient advisors are regularly on this forum. A bad review or botched patient publicly airing grievances is far more damaging than simply giving you your money back.

It would be most beneficial to you yourself if you name the doctor.

I think it would be best if he not named the doctor, simply because this young man needs AS MUCH help, advice/guidance, and support as humanly possible. What was done to this young man is legitimately criminal - and - if he names the doctor, I have a very strong feeling this thread will be locked by the moderators to protect the doctor. this is just my hunch. and we cannot afford to have this young man have this thread locked/silenced AT ALL COSTS. He needs our help.

  2. did you get the treatment today? hope it went well. I was going to agree with you that nova does not have good options, as ive been living in nova the last 5 years. I recently just got my treatment done at Scalp Micro USA located in Manhattan ny. They have a artist that specializes specifically in fut camouflage repair. My Fut scar was wider than yours and im very pleased with my results. Have to say 2600 is a tad bit on the steep side though for fut scar repair.

hm yes may be you are right. but can you understand my condition?

i can afford smp kit but not smp artist every 2 years.

so just think of way. may be just shave and live with it, may be tattoo and live with it. i do not know, just HT brought my live in regret and depression.

i think how normal and happy person i was before HT

Hey man, you need to slow down your thoughts and be more open minded to the suggestions given here. Your impatience and impulse to repair the fue scars, without considering the most proper option, is going to lead you down a path of even deeper regret and misery if you're not careful. Stay very far away from tattoo ink - this will ruin your life if you use tattoo ink to camouflage scarring. Also, do not let anyone other than a professional perform the smp treatment. Your wife is not trained or experienced enough to even use the smp needle/equipment. There is technique involved in how deep the ink is supposed to go (depth control, also proper ink mixing before starting), and she could potentially make things way worse. Not to mention the technique involved in proper dot placement for effective blending and natural buzzed hair appearance. i also guarantee you the diy smp kit you are looking at includes a low-quality grade smp ink. Low quality ink can result in different negative results. I also can assure you the diy kit is using an improper needle gauge size.  A good smp clinic/studio will be using top of the line industry standard smp ink and proper needles for optimal results.

Also please spend a bit more time on research and call around/look for local smp studios and ask questions. From what you've stated about smp post care, seems like you got inaccurate info. Smp can last 2 to 3 years if done correctly and by a good artist/studio - and even then, its not like it totally disappears, you would just need a touch up. Touch ups should typically range roughly around 7-800 dollars give or take, depending on the artist or studio. So definitely not as much as you've been led to believe. Youtube is also your friend for smp scar repair examples and info. Again, slow down and if youre struggling with funds, scar repair should cost only about 2k - ball park estimate. It is worth waiting a bit to save up your money or possibly even request funding help from family/relatives if your in that much need of assistance. A good smp artist can easily camouflage the scars - easily.

FYI - I confidently say all this because i have/had a GIANT and WIDE FUT scar (looked worse than your fue scarring) that was repaired by smp, and im extremely content with how it turned out. I know how you feel. Be careful and good luck.
