You’re probably fine. Someone said earlier in the thread that I’ve been too lenient on them, but truth of the matter is I went to them because my research pointed to them being among the best. They obviously continue to put out incredible results. And I’ve been pleading with Sethi for a few years now to try and fix me, but enough damage was done by me posting in here that they probably felt it in their best interests to cut ties with me.
They did give me back some of my funds which amounted to approx 1/5th total surgery cost.
Anyways, there was never any acknowledgment of this being a poor surgery but they were kind to me. I would still want Sethi to do work on me if circumstances were different. He goes the extra 100 miles for patients he connects with and really cares about. And I wanted to be one of those patients.
thanks for the response. With Dr. Mwamba - did you have your procedure done at his USA office or Belgium?

just caught up with this thread. Can anyone with more experience say why/how Eugenix messed this one up, especially since it was performed by their top surgeons?
I was planning on going with Eugenix since it appears to be highly recommended on this forum but reading this thread has me really worried now..

Honestly I wish I stayed longer, I wanted to get home quickly. In hindsight, I could have traveled with a normal hat on, they would have done my daily cleanings, and would have shampooed my head the first time. For $90/night, the hotel was cheap, the breakfast was wonderful.
Ya I'm kinda in the mind set right now that I want to get home early after my surgery, but I don't know how many nights to stay. I don't plan on traveling outside or anything so I'm going to be holed up in the hotel anyway. I'm looking at maybe spending 2 - 3 nights? Then flying off. I live in North America so it will be a long flight. Did you have to spray saline on the grafts every hour while you were on the plane?

I stayed in India for 4 nights, I arrived on Thursday and was gone on Monday. I took care of all of the post treatment procedures myself, they were not difficult. The most difficult thing was trying to sleep the first 7 nights as I couldn't sleep on the front, sides or back of my head. Ha!
thanks for the reply! planning a procedure myself with Eugenix, but just debating how many nights to stay after. What would you say minimum number of nights I should stay?

The return trip went fine, and the first 7 days were uneventful. I’m glad to be home, the first head wash didn’t remove all of the scabs, but have washed my head every day since and it looks fantastic.
Did you just stay in India for 2 nights and travel back? Or did you stay there for 7 nights?

Hi Sekior109,
I'm from Canada (arrived on the 23rd) and am in India right now, actually about to head back tomorrow. I had applied and was granted my Visa shortly before they stopped processing them. I don't know this for a fact but it is my understanding and I'm sorry to say this but I don't think you will be able to get it. My only suggestion, is that you give it a try but appy for the Medical Visa. There's a risk you may lose the application fee. Let me know if you have any questions.
ya looks like the situation won't be resolving anytime soon. They have in fact removed Canada from the list of countries completely in their website so I can't even try the medical visa. Looks like I'm out of luck and burned through several thousand dollars...

I had an upcoming hair transplant at Eugenix, with deposit and flight tickets already booked.
As some of you may or may not know, India has recently banned all visas to Canadian citizens. So I've got everything booked but no visa. I have been in contact with Eugenix but they haven't given me a straight answer about this situation.
Wanted to know if any has any advice about this situation? Is anyone else from Canada and in a similar boat?
What's worst, in addition to the money I have spent on flights, is that I have used up all my vacation time for this planned trip, so if this all falls apart, I won't be able to rebook another HT for another year!

thanks for all the answers, much appreciated.

What was the price per graft for your second procedure?
It looks like Dr. Das now charges 210 INR / graft?

we are allowed to bring more liquid as long we have receipt / prescription from Clinic
i brought 1 bottle of saline seamlessly..
when they saw my prescription, i was allowed without any hassle
so did you only bring a carry on? And did Eugenix have stuff that was OVER 100 ml liquid per bottle?
-
As the title states, I will be traveling to Eugenix for a HT. Since I'm only there for a couple days, I was hoping to fly with a carry on. But as you all know, there's a 100 ml liquid per bottle limit for carry on luggage.
So my question to those have been to Eugenix, do the medications/supplies that they provide, can they all fit in and be processed in a carry on? Is there anything over 100 ml?

insane results! Have you noticed any scars or discolouration/redness at all, specifically in the face where the beard grafts were taken?

Did you ask for the top of your hair to be unshaved? Did they offer to shave it?

Take my word with a grain of salt - I don't really follow Eugenix - but I heard Dr. Sethi is more of a backseat administrator these days and really only works on VIP cases.
Again a random stab in the dark, but with enough money I'm sure you can get him to operate on you 🤷♂️
They listed him as one of the package options. It is quite pricey, but what I want to know is, does that higher price translate into noticeable work? Or would the HT be similar between the 2 doctors.
-
I'm planning on going with Eugenix for a HT given my advanced hair loss, and I know that they come recommended for advanced NW and body hair transplant, which I would need for coverage.
I'm having a hard time deciding whether to go with Dr. Das or Dr. Sethi. I know Dr. Sethi is basically the poster doctor for the company, but is there a noticeable difference in HT outcomes from Dr. Sethi vs Dr. Das? Or is it all name/popularity?

You can improve hair texture and get of rid of dryness by using hair masks and protein conditioners. Here is what i achieved with this kind of products
Speaking about left temple. Same issue for me and many others. There is something wrong with procedure at Eugenix regarding left temple, because it's always "the left" that is weaker.
Lateral hump from left side needs attention in next HT, but as i told, it was already obvious in previous update.
this actually looks good, what hair masks and protein conditioners are you using?

I'd hop on oral min as well. Seen it do wonders to some folks.

True. But gatsby also had a relatively decent donor reserve and hair texture was curly as well. Rahul Riachand had 8000 beard hairs, and his results are great.
8k beard grafts?! Can you post the link to his thread, can't find it.
-
what are your thoughts on your donor area? Do you plan on keeping it that short? You can clearly tell where the chunk of the donor area was taken and it doesn't blend in with the rest of the hair.

maybe I missed it but how many grafts did you actually get? I know you mentioned how much they estimated but what did it end up being?

People need to focus on the valid HT criticism that @DeltaV has expressed and not derail his thread on some offhand comment he made while venting. I almost feel like some people here are the spokesman for Eugenix and will defend them to the death.
Now moving onto OP's HT results. He has had excellent results at 4 months, and things will only improve from here on out. However, I find his criticisms of Eugenix valid. Mainly (1) leaving the mid scalp line completely bald until pointed out by the patient himself and (2) the lack of lateral humps. Now, if this HT was done at an average HT clinic, I would say his results are overall good. However, this was supposedly done at one of the leading HT clinics in the world, and done so by Dr. Sethi himself. I can understand his frustration, especially considering that he has likely paid an enormous amount to have this done. One would expect much more.

Very poor results at close to 12 months. I see even in the hairline where they concentrated more grafts, there is very poor growth.

looks good. Do you plan on waiting a year before doing the crown?
Questions Regarding Eugenix HT in India

I'm planning on going to Eugenix for my HT. I've never been to India and had some questions that I was hoping those who have been to Eugenix can help me.
Any answers and help is much appreciated.
