This is a fantastic transformation. The change is massive if you look at where you started compared to now. I think you'll be done with one more surgery to add a little more density overall. The hairline looks very natural and dense. Not sure if you need anything there.

Thanks for the response. I always appreciate seeing your insight. Yes one more transplant would definitely suffice for me. The hairline actually needs just a tad more (it’s hard to tell from the pictures), but that’s ok. One final transplant and I’m going to be great.

  2. This is my 1 year mark. Technically, it won’t be one year until August 31, but it’s close enough. I think I probably got a little more growth in the last couple of months. Overall, I am happy. Without this transplant my crown would be completely bare. I do plan on getting one final hair transplant in the future to fill in my whole scalp more as well as add some temple points which I have longed for for a long time. I would definitely recommend Dr. Bicer. She was so professional and her staff was amazing. The workmanship is second to none. The quality is amazing - just look at how natural my hairline looks. I am not sure if I will travel to Istanbul / Dr. Bicer again for my last transplant but I probably will. I’m thankful you all joined me for my journey!

Also, forgive me for some pictures being upside down. I tried everything to fix it, but I can’t.

  3. Here is my 10 month update. Honestly, nothing has really changed since month 8 or so. I would say I peaked at around month 8 and it hasn’t really changed at all. With two months left to go, I’ll probably see the hair mature and thicken a tad, but I know this is essentially my final result. I was hoping for more growth than this but at the same time I knew I would have to go back and get one last transplant for some more coverage. The only real letdown was my hairline. I wanted it to be thicker. However, it’s still a lot better than before the transplant, and it looks incredibly natural…as does the rest of the transplant. Under dark light my crown looks like it has full coverage. I will try to schedule a final transplant for 2024. Cheers!

See how far it leads for the rest of those three months. If still unhappy then just contact the clinic, im sure they would be able to do a small FUE to correct it in a heartbeat.

I’m not sure if you’re understanding correctly lol. There is nothing to “fix”. I just need some more coverage, and I’ll get that taken care of (if needed) in a future transplant, because I need more coverage overall in a lot of places. This procedure was an FUE also by the way. Thanks for the input though, my friend!

Thickness at the front seems to be lacking but its not a bad result overall. I think it should an easy fix I assume because you already got a lot of those hairs grown in there imo.

I agree, I won’t have to add much more. But I was hoping this transplant would take care of the hairline for good, for example. These pictures do have some bright light, and I do still have 3 months to go…but still I think it will not be as thick as I hoped for.

  6. This is 9 months for me. Honestly, there hasn’t been much of a change the last few months. I was hoping for a little more thickness from this transplant, especially in the frontal hairline. I will say the whole transplant is definitely better than what my hair originally looked like. I do in fact have much more hair, and it appears as though I have a full head of hair in dark lighting. I wouldn’t say I’m disappointed in my transplant, because like I said it is a definite improvement. But I do wish it was a little thicker. I recognize I have 3 months left to go, but let’s be honest…not much happens in the last couple months. I planned on getting one final hair transplant some day in the next year or two anyways. I will fill in the crown a little more, the hairline a tad bit more if needed, get some new temple points, and then fill in my FUT scar from my first transplant. Hopefully all of that combined will be no more than 3,000 grafts or so.IMG_0485.thumb.jpeg.ede14909314a6d36bcd558993c3ec521.jpegIMG_0486.thumb.jpeg.c7982dfd2f034b9b844a74368612bf37.jpegIMG_0487.thumb.jpeg.7b85f1610cf2535f7eeb4d09f170d3cc.jpegIMG_0488.thumb.jpeg.2c3c667c6783cd20dcb5d1cf89e79926.jpegIMG_0489.thumb.jpeg.6309517c417c4e4c095df65753b3cc2b.jpegIMG_0490.thumb.jpeg.79cb7d5992e63c80c6e6ed09267cb72c.jpegIMG_0491.thumb.jpeg.7d6519c05107398319bdf8abda2a0ff9.jpegIMG_0492.thumb.jpeg.002a12a92528f14871c44365e972dad7.jpegIMG_0494.thumb.jpeg.d763fd02cb2aa265c482536f5bc863d4.jpegIMG_0495.thumb.jpeg.be525c165b9b9a164ca855370ef089bb.jpeg

  7. I thought I’d include the crown from a different angle. Also, this is after a showering with shampoo and conditioner, so it is not matted down or oily. I brushed it to help show it accurately too. But I changed my mind, I think my crown is looking good, and, as I have said, still 4 more months of growth. This is standing right next to a window on a sunny day. When indoors or in dark light, I essentially look like I have full coverage.IMG_9984.thumb.jpeg.6a6d5259e4bc5202336396cba3199374.jpegIMG_9981.thumb.jpeg.1a90594a78faf15e218fc3ef125af886.jpegIMG_9979.thumb.jpeg.2ded106085b8b1a17dbdc4396e19b2f5.jpeg

I don't see much difference in your hairline from prior surgery until now, but you had quite a thick hairline to begin with anyway. Crown looks much thicker now though, probably don't need to wear sunscreen on your head anymore :D

Meh the pictures don’t show it well enough. Before this you could see way too much daylight through the hairline. It has definitely looked better since this second surgery. I just hope it thickens up a little more in the next 4 months.

I usually cover my head with a hat if I'm going to be outside for more than say 20-30 minutes anyway. 😄

As I said, I'm not worrying about anything at this time. I won't be judging anything until I'm a good few months further down the line. We're still only 3-4 months in, fairly early days and plenty of time left to go 😃

No cause for concern with the donor. I had shock loss there until months 6-7. I just had to keep my hair longer so it wouldn’t show. No need to worry about any comments that make you worry.

  10. 8 month mark today. I’m happy to say my donor area has healed from the temporary shock loss it had. I am not sure exactly when it did but it started to heal sometime between months 6-8. I think it might thicken up a little more though. I’m a slow healer.

As for my transplanted areas, there is not much new to show and report. I am really hoping my hairline thickens up more in the next 4 months. My only disappointment in the transplant will be if it doesn’t, but I don’t think it has anything to do with the surgeon…I just think it’s how my body reacts to it. That is beyond any doctor’s control. So I hope that my body will grow more hair (or thicker hair) in the hairline. It is an improvement from what I had before, but I definitely still hope for more growth. My crown definitely has hair there. It’s getting growth. I never expected a miracle with my crown, I just wanted it to not be completely bald there which is what I would be without this transplant. I have hair that grew in there, I still have 4 more months of growth to come, and I knew I’d have to go back again one day to fill the crown in even more. So I’m not worried about my crown as much.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my update. Time has flown since this transplant last August 2022. IMG_9768.thumb.jpeg.1bda397afa63ec136b4482f14bf25a6f.jpegIMG_9767.thumb.jpeg.03c77e5ed4af9b203184c83b32f3c8d8.jpegIMG_9765.thumb.jpeg.7d5b9557bbc70eb1e7a375992d97b0dd.jpegIMG_9764.thumb.jpeg.282fe630a9ccbb793684d183c2dcf2d6.jpegIMG_9762.thumb.jpeg.a0fd0614d26a253b682d8043b65567e1.jpegIMG_9763.thumb.jpeg.e4862dda89c0b37cb246d722d97d7aa8.jpegIMG_9758.thumb.jpeg.29853def4f69b66ffc3a6790deacff64.jpegIMG_9752.thumb.jpeg.4806a20a152ecd40dcb1b7873c9262bc.jpegIMG_9771.thumb.jpeg.62b6abeffd83e9e52d5b5e8180538202.jpegIMG_9755.thumb.jpeg.c84135acfde1c353beb1b5cd1abadb7c.jpegIMG_9772.thumb.jpeg.18b7194db6f6ebecea0aa5ffa70ab489.jpeg

  11. This is a random post but perhaps it has some truth to it. I have noticed that I’m a very slow healer in recent years and I believe it’s largely due to my diet. For example, when I get a cut or something on my skin, it seems like it takes twice as long to heal as a normal person’s would. I believe that due to too much sugar intake in my diet, that it messes with my skin’s ability to heal at a normal rate. I think this could be true for my hair transplant as well. I don’t want to make up my own science here or try and diagnose myself…my point is that I wouldn’t be surprised if someone told me a poor, inefficient diet could affect your results in some way. I am still getting pretty good growth, but I think it might be better if I alter my diet a little. Just some food for thought!
