  1. Absolutely, lol. I should have said "more" normal now that I don't have solely the back side of my head shaven.
  2. Yes and I wear my sides short anyway so today I actually trimmed my sides (avoiding the transplanted areas) to even out the shaved donor area and I pretty much look normal again aside from the scabs on my hairline
  3. Frankly I was just scared to shave my head, and thought it would turn the recovery period from a 1-2 week thing, into a 4-5 month thing because all of a sudden I have a shaved head and have to explain why to everyone around me during that time. My dad had an FUE and didn't shave his head - he looked weird for the first few weeks cause of the scabbing, but after that I couldn't really tell. If my hair looks really odd in a couple months perhaps I'll buzz it anyway, so I'd kind of rather wait and assess the situation then rather than shave it pre-emptively. The nurses that did my transplant said the non-shave wouldn't really affect the quality of the procedure much, but will take a little longer as you mentioned.
  4. Sure, no problem. What specifically looks concerning? The lotion stuff is like a neosporin antibiotic. I took the picture right after they were done harvesting.
  5. Hi all! I just discovered this forum the night before my surgery. I wish I had discovered it sooner because the community and info on here are great. I didn't have a bad experience at my clinic here in San Diego (will post a review/experience later), but I'm paranoid that maybe my hairline is too "perfect"? I just want to make sure the hairline looks ok. I saw the term "micro-irregularities" often on here and I'm not sure if I have that. My surgeon claimed to be in business for 6 years, but his yelp/google reviews go back to 2019 and he doesn't seem to emphasize that he's a "hairline artist" like I see some surgeons say. I chose him cause he had some of the best Google/Yelp reviews in San Diego and I liked him during the consultation. But I could have been more patient and got more consultations. The nurses that harvested and implanted my hair both had over 15+ years of experience and work with a few surgeons, one of those surgeons being an IAHRS member. They used a NeoGraft for harvesting. I just wanted my corners filled in initially and I thought this would be like a 1000 graft job, but he talked me into going into my middle area more because he said it was thinning. How does it look? Thanks so much in advance. Before surgery: Post surgery: Additional photos: Sorry this ones kind of gross, it's the only photo I got of the donor site and the nurse had already started put the antibiotic lotion on:
