Oooo so that’s only 4 months! Even better! I thought when you said 5 months mark that meant you’d done 5 months.. I’m still recovering lol for 4 months.. it looks fantastic, some serious growth on the way!

Oh sorry my mistake, not really sure how to call the months going forward, but Yes, I just finished the 4th month and today is day 1 of the 5th. Thanks again for the encouragement as i appreciate and need it lol. Looking forward to some serious growth as you put it ☺️ to start. Thanks again also I have updated the photos to include the donor area.

Looks promising @Timothyand considering you’re still on the 5th month mark. What I noticed that is common in this forum is by 6 month onwards, you will see the significant growth. I’m seeing that the beard hair has blended well with your native hair. Im already excited for the update next month 😆

Thank you for the update and photos @Timothy! By the way, how’s the donor area? Can you post photos if you don’t mind, thank you again!

Thank you kindly I appreciate the feedback. I do agree the beard hair has blended in nicely and im really looking forward to and am excited as well for the next 3 or so months ahead as i do see most results from the 6 mo onward really seem to take off so I am staying positive as i just completed my 4th month and today starts the 5th. Thanks again andi'mm also uploading the donor area which I see as soooo much better this month.

  3. So today marks the 5 Month mark, I know I have still some time to go but Im starting to see some good progress starting to take place In my opinion. Again I don't take any meds outside of vitamins. I have been letting it grow out since the end of Dec but I may go get a trim and maybe a blend on the sides but I will leave the top to grow out, I'm actually looking forward to it as I haven't been to a barber in over 20 or more years.

I am still hoping and expecting more growth / coverage to come.  I am staying positive this will happen as there is still months of growing ahead of me.

I do hope to have some feedback to what you all think about how the growth is for entering the 5th month. I do appreciate all who can respond. Thank you and have a great day everyone.

I just returned from my transplant with Dr. Yaman.  Everything you described was 100% accurate.  Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience.

No problem at all and happy i could be of help and i'm glad everything worked out great for you. I look forward to following your journey and watching your results come to fruition.  All the best.

  5. I agree that after 14 days your grafts should be secure and I don't believe you have anything to be worried about, In my opinion i would think this was a possible pimple that busted as this happened to me a few times but there was never a flow or dripping of blood, did you notice there was a pimple there? either way just breath, and I would just let it alone and let your head heal, keep doing what the clinic advised and what others have already stated and you should be good! now the waiting begins!! Good luck with everything.

Hi @Timothyi have been following your progress and it looks great. Glad you had a good experience with Dr Yaman.

I am booked in at the start of Feb for a similar amount of grafts, very nervous but watching your progress has definitely helped.

Good to hear, good luck with your surgery, all the best and please share your experience when you get started as I and others would like to see your journey. All the best!

Wow it’s coming up nicely Tim! It’s just the fourth month and your hair is already filling up the spaces. I also think the beard is blending well with the hair as well as they all look like they’re the same already. I’m happy for you Tim! Thank you for the update.

Thank you kindly, I appreciate the feedback. I agree with the beard hair it blends quite well IMHO and hopping for a great result in the next few months ahead.

Hoping your well and I wish you luck when you figure out what direction you are headed in. Take care.

Can you give me an idea of what items you took with you and if there was something you had wished you would have took?

I really didn't take anything out of the ordinary to be honest, But for me I wish I brought Airpods so I had something to listen to during the lengthy procedure. Also i've read on hear after the fact unfortunately was to bring a button up shirt for after the procedure, I never brought one and it was a little more careful attention needed for removal of the shirt etc but this is a big plus. Id also add a neck pillow, the one they provide was a little small in my opinion so that may also be an option. Hopefully this helps, sorry I couldn't be more of a help and good luck with your surgery!!

  9. If I may I also wanted to ask if anybody knows, when I get stressed, or a cough/sneeze or a few other minor actions I seem to get a hot flash that lasts seconds but rushes up my scalp and the feeling is as pins and needles all over the recipient area, I'm guessing this will be nerves and it will work itself out.  If anyone could help I'd appreciate that kindly.

  10. Hello everyone! hope you all are doing great, staying happy and enjoying your day.

Thanks to everyone who shares their input here as HRN really is a great community with a lot of educated caring people who help and inspire many, including myself, I follow a lot of your Journey's which keeps me sane in these growing months waiting it out.

Today marks the 4 month mark, I started to see growth a few weeks back and it seems to be getting more and more daily IMHO, I will just put up the pics that were all taken today.

I have stopped shaving my head now and will just let it grow, it's been just over 2 weeks since my lasts #2 shave/cut.

I also wanted to say I am not on any meds, just the vitamins that were provided for me, and a daily spray with  Saw palmetto and some avocado oil for the donor area.

Please feel free to comment and let me know what you think. your opinions keep me sane in this growing time, Especially the feedback from the members who have knowledge in this process. Thank you all I appreciate it, Take care.

I hope these photos suffice, they are taken with my phone with me under pot lights if that make a difference. Also I do have Avocado oil in my donnor as it was applied an hour or so ago. Thanks again have a great day!!

When you booked with Yaman did you find that the pre op service wasn’t great?

I mean no joining instructions, no hotel info and lack of a proper confirmation until being chased?

Not at all in my experience, the communication was great, once I sent them my flight info with a few hours I had sent to me all hotel info, there driver info and where to go at the airport to meet driver. My flight was delayed by 3 hours and when I finally arrived there he was exactly as mentioned to me. Once I got in the car the drivers phone rang and it was Dr Yamans coordinator who asked the driver to give me the phone and he reiterated everything back to me and told me again all the details. so for me it was actually handled great without any issues or guesswork

    Hope this helps

Wishing you the best of luck Timothy - I am confident it will look great once it grows back in!.

I am curious about how your beard donor area is looking. Would you mind sharing a picture of that!?

Thank you kindly, I appreciate the comment and I as well am confident it will turn out great. Also sure I will upload a shot of the beard area in a few min.

    Thanks.

  13. So today would be my 2 month mark, still early and not much to see. I did shed on top contrary to my belief, i guess i was just liking the new look and was in denial... lol.  Everything seems to be going well and healing up nicely. I no longer have major itching in the donor area, its minimal id say, still some itching in the recipient area. I still have a lot of the red scalp, that seems to be lingering but i'm sure is normal this early on. In regards to the pimples, they have subsided somewhat in the donor area but have increased a lot in the recipient area, but i just leave them be and let nature do its thing.  In regards to numbness, i still am numb on top but only the middle line from crown to tip, probably about .25 - .50 of in inch wide straight down the middle if i'd had to guess and if that makes sense.

The photos i am uploading are after shaving my head, (donor area, and scalp was trimmed by hand with scissors), I did manage to get a couple of pics before the shave, wish I took more but hopefully these pics would suffice.

I am definitely looking forward to the next few months to see the growth come in but still have a ways to go.

Thank you all for your input and for looking have a great day.

This is looking good, maybe a touch of shock loss from what I can see? I see Dr Yaman has been evolving in his methods/techniques 👌🏿

Thanks!! Ya I would agree in regards to some shock loss, in the last week I have noticed it. Im confident it will get better with some time.

I would personally say in my honest opinion that Dr Yaman is doing a good job!!

You're welcome my friend. A few more months left. Just be patient and you will enjoy your new appearence 👍👌

Thanks again, I’m so looking forward to it. I’ve learned here best that patience is one of the most important fundamental ingredients in hair restoration…. Now to live by my own words is easier said than done!! But I’m taking it one month at a time. Again, thank you kindly.
