So, this is my 2 month update. I haven't had a haircut yet, as I've been growing it out and my hair has returned to per HT length.

I'm not sure if shedding has taken place or is yet to come, I really haven't been paying that much attention to my hair since my last update. My donor area does feel thinner than it was previously (that was obviously to be expected), I'll trim it down soon to see how it has recovered since the procedure.

Looking great - the donor looks great too - are you using finasteride or any other meds?

  2. Quick question on beard grafts - i was told by eugenix that they would do about 1400 beard grafts ..my question once the remove beards grafts does it leave like a very visible scar ? ...im bit skeptical coz a scar on the face would look that good. Anyone here had beard grafts and would like to let me know how it turned out after healing?

Yup haha and to add context to it, this was my first transplant so I wanted to be very conservative. Didn’t want to put all my eggs in one basket. Let’s hope it grows fine, but I would say based on the work and how clean it is, I’m very confident in their work.

I’ll be going for the crown and aggressive hairline (TBD about the hairline) in 6-7 months. Similar to @Bandit90’s strategy.

hearing from both dr sethi and bansal how “excellent” my donor is and how good by beard is, it also made me at ease a bit. (Even though dr bansal said my head area is big. 🤣🤣)

If i remember you also opted not to take finasteride correct - what alternatives were given by the doctors in this case , i am also not planning to take Fin due to side effects

@BaldingEagle1  Great write up - very thorough . Quick question though , when i looked at your transplanted pics , i see the crown area is left out (towards the back of the head) . Was this intentional ?... I have the same pattern as you so wondering the reason behind it

    Thank you

EDITED : Never mind..i found the answer... you wanted to initially do the hairline and mid :D

Nice! Which clinic are you going to?

That's totally understandable regarding fin, but just keep in mind that your native hairs may be at risk to going, and you may require a touch up or two later on if that does happen. (so hope you have a good donor- beard, chest, etc). Without taking fin, you may need to use fibres, but to answer your question, I absolutely think it's worth it.

While I am planning on getting on fin after 3 years, I am happy because I have good donor hair- beard, and chest. I would be so happy for them to use my body hair as I was so conscious about it growing up lol

I believe @Melvin- Moderatoralso wasn't on any pills and he used concealers and fibres. I think he stated he will be on topical fin though.

am going to eugenix as well :)

I was hoping I could get my crown done there too and just knock it out in one sitting. I’ll speak to dr Bansal when I do get there.

I don’t take any pills currently, and most likely won’t take fin as the wife and I are planning on having 2 kids within 3 years. So let’s see how that plays out.

I do plan on taking rogaine though.

I am also planned to have a HT (NW 6) in Jan but not planning to take fin due to side effects. Is it even the right choice to have a HT if we dont plan to take fin. Thoughts are appreciated

    @Jay,

It’s honestly going to be difficult giving you any specific advice regarding whether or not you should proceed with hair transplant surgery in January without knowing the specifics of your circumstances.

That said, if whatever you’re going through doesn’t limit your ability to undergo surgery, then proceeding might be a plausible option for you.  However, if attempting to undergo hair transplant surgery while attempting to resolve any emotionally and/or physically difficult circumstances causes you any extreme, undue stress or turmoil, then it might be plausible to wait until your circumstances change prior to proceeding with your procedure.

If you are willing to share the specifics of your circumstances, it would be a lot easier to provide more specific input.

    Best wishes,

    Bill

Thank you for you reply - i was more concerned as to does stress have any affect on the implanted hair given that i can go ahead with the surgery

Oxidative stress always has a detrimental effect on your overall health and situation.

In regard to hair, it can accelerate your genetically pre-determined hair-loss. I.e, you will not lose more hair than you were programmed to lose due to stress (indeed, a NW 0 werewolf could be thrown into a warzone and come back with all of their hair) but any hair that you WERE going to lose may fall off that much faster. That can be trily bald cky when transplanting a NW3-NW4 where you still have a strong forelock left, as you could get your HT and then witness the native hair permanently shedding, thus creating an uneven result.

If you are covering completely bald areas, you are on a better boat, but you may affect your growth rates and smooth recovery.

Ya am on NW 6 so mostly bald area

    NW5A
Total grafts - 3505 (All scalp)

Baldness is a serious issue that gulps your self-esteem. Being a NW5A, he walked in Eugenix to gain back his lost confidence. We met his expectations by achieving a perfect hairline and completely natural-looking results.

A total of 3505 grafts were required to address his case. Each graft was extracted from his scalp. Keeping the scope of future needs, his donor was managed. A good coverage along with the creation of temple points was provided to him. Now, he seems all pleased and contended with the results.

@Eugenix Hair Sciences curious - what package did he go with ? ..

I've opted for the Premium package, Dr. Arika will be doing the procedure. I wanted the best doc as I got botched in the last hair transplantation. I will be needing some extraction as well. I will keep you guys updating.

    Cheers.

hello - The premium package says - planning /design and complete slits by Dr. Arika ?.....i dont think shes involved other than that ..is that correct ?

I was scheduled to go to Eugenix but after seeing some poor cases particularly those of NW3 and lower I opted not to. I like having my hair short from the back and would not like that luxury to be taken away due to poor donor management. The angling issues also concerned me, it's all fine to be treated royally but when there are several technicians rotating that's just an added variable that could go wrong. The case on captain haddock had extractions all completed by Dr Arika and the donor management was not good in my eyes. This is not to say Eugenix hasn't produced some excellent results on higher NW cases but these are just my concerns for my scalp and my hair loss situation. It is definitely 100x better than going to 80% of the turkey clinics but for me I want more involvement by a doctor, hair transplant is an art and there is a thin line between the art and the profitable business side of it.

can you put a link for the poor cases

Hi, I am relatively new to the forum. I actually was on the brink of deciding eugenix as my first HT ever in my life, but some concering posts have been made by some of the members it seems. I still did not discount eugenix (considering premium package by bansal, 3rd one), as some of the bad cases on the forum could simply be outliers with complicated history for example.

But just wondering from the standpoint of quality control, I wonder if I have to go for the highest version by dr. pradeep if I wanted to take less risks for example (ie avoid rush plans or divided attention by doctors or roulette of technicians?). The highest package doesnt have a price so I cant estimate how much it will be.. and I suspect at that pricepoint it would be similar to getting HT from one of the reputable ones near the country I live in? (Usa or canada). I guess mexico isnt too far either.

if anyone has already looked at this related topic extensively or anyone who has perspectives to share, please do.

I am diagnosed with NW6 (the crown picture was taken in sunny day outside) but with full hairline intact(i wish norwood system had this variation.. so my crown suffers from miniaturization). I am actually nor sure nw6 is the right classification but anywas was quoted around 4000 grafts. My main concern is the crown area.

can you post the link of that bad ones here
