I think the second pic actually is just concealer, so that's why he continues loosing ground later on -
One of the things that has always put me off is looking like I'm out of some horror movie in public post transplant for months on end. I work in a public facing role so can't hide away at home forever (also not an option to wear a cap in this time) Is it really as bad as I'm imagining or not that noticeable, please don't sugar coat it
