  1. Yes, although the original HT was definitely an improvement, I don't think it was enough to cover the original recession in the first place. As I mentioned the last 6 months hair loss has reduced significantly. I have some recommendations for surgeons at my current residence (Greece), but from what I have read they aren't the most skilled at HT and struggle with high density. Not that I am sure if what I want is considered "high density". I could get a good price here (under 3 grand probably), I have the means to pay more, just not sure how complicated what I'm asking for is and if its worth paying more. I am not against traveling abroad to get the procedure, but I first wanted to ask the forum their consideration of my plan, maybe an idea of how many grafts I could need to fill the area, and if I could do something to bring the temples slight forward, reduce the roundness of my hairline as I try to show, would that be a good idea? I don't necessarily want to bring my hairline forward,I think it would look good right here if I could improve the thickness of the peaks.
  2. Yes let me make it crystal: I am currently 26 and a half years old. I started fin at 22 and a half, I've had one surgery, 800 grafts (approx. number) at 23 and a half.
  3. Dear forum members, Allow me to show you my history with thelimited images I have of different hair lengths, different photo conditions but I have several so I hope there's enough information in the photos First let me show you the original and intact teenage hairline I had Then, at some point (not sure when exactly, I did not monitor it) I realized it was maturing but to a point that bothered me, and I always covered it with various hairstyles and techniques, I started taking finasteride at some point at 22 1/2 years, 1.25 mg a day a treatment that I continue to this day (4 years later) but the damage had already been done and I did not see a reduction in hair loss so I do not know how much it helped but I do not want to stop it and I have no particular side-effects so it does not bother me. I had my first transplant a year after starting fin, at 23 1/2, a family friend plastic surgeon recommended someone to me (I do not remember the name but I will find out and let you know) and it was over the course of a day, something like 700 grafts, paid around 1k€ if I remember correctly. I just wanted to repair the hairline, that looked awful to me, I had no other requirement. There was a lot of scabbing but essentially all the grafts were place in the front. I wasn't exactly living as healthily as I could, smoking etc, so that may have affected how many were lost to shock loss, not sure, maybe some seasoned members can estimate the success based on these pics? What bothers me now, three years after the operation is the density at the sides of the hairline, it is quite sparse (the classic hair loss pattern) and I can't cut my hair too short because it looks ugly, so again I have to do my styling tricks to fill in the gaps and so on with the haircut, things that I want to avoid I have noticed that my hair loss has stabilized a lot in the last six months, I eat very healthy, I exercise but of course I know that I am young and I will not fool myself into thinking this will be my final hairline & density, but I believe if I fix the front ends I will not need another transplant for many years The surgeon who saw it recently, but also in my first operation told me that I have plenty of hairs available on the donor site, and it has not been damaged, densely packed hair with lots of multi-follicles, but I have fine hair diameter naturally, which means the front hairs that had been damaged before I started fin are even thinner, so thats why I want to reinforce the density of the region They also look very thin wet, let me show you some recent pictures When wet: After a haircut As you can see it looks bad when they are pulled back and / or wet, my hair quality helps me to hide them well but I do not want to be forced to do this my whole life! Also since I imagine the grafts that will be required to reinforce this region are not many, I want to bring forward the temples a little and give a less rounded shape to the hairline Let me show you how my hairline looks brushed with a comb in the light https://streamable.com/qf2f8j Thanks for reading please share your thoughts! Do not hesitate to tell me that I am obsessed, that I should value the hair I have because others have it much worse, to value my grafts and not to spend them in details when I might need them in the future etc etc 😄
