Hi Everyone, I will post a final update sometime next week. Sorry, I have been extremely busy in the last few months. I'd like to also thank some of the community members who reached out to me. -
FUE Hair Transplant Review - Dr. Laorwong - 2,600 Grafts

Are you saying that I need another transplant session to get the density? I would expect ~2800 grafts were more than enough for my case.. -

Here is the ~8-month update. Picture taken after a shower and immediately dried. The planted hairs are still wiry, and I hoped the density improved. Please let me know your thoughts! -

It’s Low Level Light Therapy. It supposedly helps with the recovery. -

I actually had this issue starting on day 5. The intensity and frequency lessened over time, and by one month, it was barely there. My doctor told me it was a superficial nerve damage.

Donor at the 2nd month: Scars are noticeable when getting a fade haircut. I see a long brown scar from the headband (used to prevent swelling) which I hope is not permanent. -

I honestly don't know since I don't have experience with other ht doctors. All I can say is that my experience with Dr. Laorwong was great so far: (1) the surgery was pretty much painless for me, (2) the recovery was also easy since the brochure he gave me had all info I needed, and (3) he has been responding to my questions quickly. For the results, I still cannot say since I am still at the early stage.

Nope, they didn’t charge me extra. I only knew the distribution after I emailed them yesterday. Maybe it was their mistake or they decided that more grafts were required during the surgery. -

the breakdown is the following: 1 hair-grafts = 634 2 hair-grafts = 1583 3 hair-grafts = 532 in total: 2799 grafts it turns out that the actual procedure is 2799 instead of 2600 grafts. -

Does this mean that the doctors are not involved in the extraction step? With doctors from Turkey (both from Reddit and this forum), I have seen problems with donor over harvesting (often with high transection rate). And so, extraction step is a crucial step in this surgery. For you personally, do you perform both extraction and incision steps? How many patients do you take care in a day?
-
Dr Onay, In those operations that you witnessed, what are the involvements of the doctors? Do they only “supervise” or perform any part of the surgery? It is safe to say that at least the extractions and the incisions parts should be done by the surgeon (not the technicians). Does that happen to the operations you witnessed?

Here is the 1-month update: - My scalp is still numb - 80% of the grafts have shed - Few pimples on the donor area - I started applying minoxidil foam around week 2.5 I was given a sleeping pill during the procedure, so I was sleepy during the procedure. I was not given any form of entertainment, but I did not mind since I spent most of the time sleeping. Nearing the end of the graft placements, I was awake and getting bored (final 15 minutes). I was fully alert when I went back to the hotel. Recipient: Donor: -

Dr. Laorwong did the fade for me. Yes, I was able to hide it pretty well. No one asked anything about my hair, so I’d say it’s hidden sufficiently. This is after 3 weeks: -

Thanks! Good luck for your result! I stayed in Pratunam area (Berkeley hotel) which is 130 baht ride away. Breakfast was not included (intentionally), so I and my travel companions can try local food. If anyone decides to go to Bangkok (whether for HT or not), they should try Thai street food! -

Thanks! I also started taking finasteride (1mg/day) 1 week prior to the surgery.
