Hair still looks absolutely insane man... honestly Nadimi should comp you and use your results for marketing purposes

Also you look like Wes Bentley... or one of the Starks from Winterfell since you've got the name and now the hair

Thanks bro…It’s still weird hearing people compliment my hair since before the HT I hadn’t heard anyone say that since my college years (I’m 40)

I feel it’s really come into its own and I’m definitely glad I finally pulled the trigger on this and even happier that (thanks to this forum) I found Dr. Nadimi. She really nailed it.

Looks amazing hair bro, I haven’t been on here in an awhile and logged in tonight to see Wolf  Man Jack ,👍😄😄😄

Im going to update tomorrow, I’m very happy with my outcome as well, Dr. Nadimi is awesome!

Haha Thanks bro. It’s crazy it’s been almost 2 years. Best decision I made was choosing Dr. Nadimi. I will look for your update.

I can’t make the claim that my results are typical but seems to be the norm from Nadimi from what I’ve seen. I always have to mention that I believe my hair characteristic’s play a part in the result as well. Having super coarse hair I believe adds to the density factor but I have to believe that the biggest factor is in the surgeon.

What’s wild is I am constantly getting comments about how nice and thick my hair is when I just 18 months ago I was so tired of stressing over hair loss I was contemplating just shaving it all off.

@AStark great results I'm seeing nadimi Dec 12. I've ruled out konior based on bad reddit and Google reviews on him recently on altering angulations

Question I have for you if you don't mind since nadimi is one of my top 3 choices now aide from Dr Loarwong sethi & couto.

Since I live here in Chicago I would love to stay with nadimi since is more into restoring me whole compare to konior just hairline and nothing else. which I will ask many questions.

Is the hair angulations that is my concern.

Are you able to style it every way like mine is very managable if you comb it right/left/down/up & backwards Does the transplanted hair move every direction along with the native hair or does the hairline just stays spiked up or different direction than native hair. Even with just my hand in able to move it every way.

would appreciated it if you can comment on that or even provide photos of hair styled in all directions if it's not much to ask as most results here are spiked up not showcasing being able to do different styles than just up or slick back.

Though I got a bad yield lack of density and minis I'm looking for that natural way mine is now where transplanted hair and native hair all blend in nicely whichever direction I comb it.

Konior recommended one procedure hairline only and to spike my hair up so I had to cross him off  upon recent findings online and I was willing to go this winter with him if someone cancel. But for the hefty price and only getting hairline after more consultations and being able to cover more ground I'm sort of glad I cancel and taking my time and getting more opinions on many doctors from this network which I'm grateful for making me choose wisely.

My hair is extremely coarse and has some real wave to it so my styling options are somewhat limited.

My hair has NEVER wanted to do what I wanted it do without product or being wet. I’ve noticed no difference from the transplant. I used to hate my hair growing up for these reasons. I never had the flowing in the wind kind of hair like John Stamos that you could just run your hands through and it look great lol, mine was more like a thick bush that needed constant conditioning and thinning to tame it. It wasn’t until I lost a majority of it and now have it back that I actually appreciate the texture and condition.

As far as angulations, I have not noticed any issues with that at all and have never seen anyone complain about Nadimi or Konoir for that issue but not to say it hasn’t happened, it certainly isn’t an issue in my case anyways.

My hair will lay flat but starts to curl out once it grows beyond an inch or two if worn that way. Kids style their hair like that I’m seeing but mine will do it naturally. It did before hair loss and still does after the HT. I just don’t wear it down like that. Haven’t for 20 years lol

Here are a few 18 month update photos but I don’t really style my hair differently. At its current length I am in need of a haircut and beard trim BIG TIME but I’m kind of enjoying the comments of how thick my hair looks and that I should let it keep growing. IMG_6231.thumb.jpeg.dea18b252c036808a671a657403aca5c.jpegIMG_6232.thumb.jpeg.1d09e9d97eb5bef30c9a6ab280908335.jpegIMG_6149.thumb.png.7912c058649fd172f301479c015ea666.pngIMG_6068.thumb.png.a00f63d306fb64bd9c8dc3efe4745ef7.pngIMG_6059.thumb.png.9ea79c469c684e3f748487aafa16f853.png

these may not help you as I don’t really style my hair too many different ways at this length but I have zero complaints. Looks and feels as natural as it ever has.

Hi AStark - Have you seen continued improvements beyond 1 year?

It’s really hard to tell on improvements at this point. Certainly no regression but the improvements at this point are minimal and just hard to see. I think I’m at the full result point.

Not much to update but here’s a few photos from today of the front and top

    IMG_2092.thumb.jpeg.db20b2f2771416770b905c2fc49df15b.jpegIMG_2090.thumb.png.cb90b9ae9830260e6b885dac0c99c68e.png

and to put into perspective here’s a starting point to just a few days ago.
    IMG_2091.thumb.jpeg.f9497f742895f24c2019e0afcb2a23c6.jpeg

I’m so used to seeing my hair as it is now that seeing where I started, I don’t remember it being that bad 😂

I’m still 100% happy, Just not sure there’s much improvements moving forward other then maybe the texture and maturity of the transplanted hair.

Awesome result however I think starting finasteride and oral minoxidil postop has given you a huge boost, especially in the crown and mid scalp which were not touched with many grafts. I would consider bumping up the oral minoxidil dose to 5mg/day to see if it fully brings back the crown.

Thank you! I don’t doubt your assumption. It’s hard to say the impact since I hadn’t started prior but it certainly seems as though it could have  assisted in the final outcome. I’ve considered bumping, I’ve seen others say the same but not sure what the science is behind an increase in dosage 🤷‍♂️

agree, was going to say "if it ain't broke don't fix it"! it could always end up worse, and right now you've got better hair than 95% of men. a lot of times when i've seen the hairline lowered to previous areas that were 100% bald it ends up looking worse, not enough density. especially for hairstyles like yours where you want to spike it up

i also wouldn't expect it to get worse given your age (assuming 30+) and assuming you stay on fin

    congratulations!

Thanks bro. I agree 100%. I’m 39 and on meds (Fin & Oral Min) so fingers crossed this whole thing holds up over time. I don’t think my heart could handle losing my hair all over again 😂

Insane result! You must be thrilled! not sure why you would even need a 2nd surgery?

I don’t believe I do lol only reason really might be to add any density or reconstruct the hairline a bit lower but I’m not there by any means. I’m enjoying the results I have and most likely won’t go back unless loss progresses, then I may reconsider.

I think it’s probably common to want to go a bit further with any result but it’s probably wise to follow the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” logic on these procedures.

thanks for the kind words bro. This was def a journey but glad I finally pulled the trigger. It was way worse in my head going into it all then it actually turned out to be lol

  8. Just in case the lighting seemed favorable on the last one (and it was lol) here’s a few angles in outdoor natural lighting. Not the harshest either I suppose but a bit more revealing of the end density result.

    IMG_0675.thumb.jpeg.147b2ac374a2e5eb5759ac2ec80b9a9a.jpeg

No concealers here. I use a matte clay to style but that’s it here.

Under the harshest lighting at an overhead angle, I suppose the “illusion of density” gives way a bit more but like I said nothing is perfect.

  9. Here it is…..12 month update

As promised here is the 12 month update. I’ll spare repeating all the details and information I’ve already posted and just say I’m 100% satisfied. IMG_0668.thumb.jpeg.0cbfd574aaa55569f85541a58865ce63.jpeg

I suppose nothing is perfect but when I went into this, I was prepared mentally  for the possibility that 2 procedures would be needed at least to get my hair back, now I’m not so sure.

I’ve seen others post about hair envy or something along these lines, seeing the results Dr. Nadimi gave me, I can help but wonder what a 2nd procedure could turn out but for now My worst hair days today are better then my best hair days a year ago so, I’m happy.

Thanks again to everyone here who’s posted their journeys and provided their time and collective information to help guys me make the leap. I wish I had found this site and Dr. Nadimi a fews prior but better late then never.

  10. 10 month update…..

I’ve had a few people messaging so I came back to provide a 10 month update from my FUE procedure w/ Dr. Nadimi.

You can look back through this thread to get all the details and progress updates of my procedure.

Overall, I am extremely happy.  It’s not “perfect” but a massive improvement from where I started.

    1. Frontal shot in natural lighting outdoors

    IMG_5446.thumb.jpeg.2e1e438d723edac16fceee59bfce40ed.jpeg

    2. Overhead shot with harsher fluorescent lighting overhead IMG_5504.thumb.jpeg.b73dfb09b9dcaca21dab9c550b8f7c83.jpeg

Still a bit thin in the top/back area but I only had 150 +/- grafts placed around the crown as they were left over after the frontal area was complete. Even with a small amount of grafts this area really improved.

I’ve been taking 2.5mg oral min and 1.25mg fin daily for the past 8 months or so.

I doubt there will be much improvement to note from this point on but I’m happy as it is today so I’m not sweating it. I can’t help but wonder what I could get with a second round but I’m not there yet. Time will tell.

Only regret is waiting so long.

Hey man. Do you recall your calculated hair density in the transplant area? (average number of follicular units considering recipient area and number of transplanted grafts)

Honestly, I don’t brother. I know she went over that the day of but I can’t recall and don’t want to start throwing out guesses lol

  12. 7.5 months….time flies.

just a quick update. I think from the outside looking in you wouldn’t see improvements since the 6 month mark but I can still see a ton of shorter thinner hairs growing and maturing in the hairline. I expect it’ll be thicker over time but as I’ve been saying for months, I’m happy with the results. Any improvement is icing on the cake at this point.

Here’s a before and after in natural lighting

    D6C61BE3-0AC4-40AB-A22E-61C40EDB0C84.thumb.jpeg.86a5b1d8b4a79f291ad1a12b23d12ce2.jpeg

left side I was loaded with fibers, right side not a single one. Could have gone lower with the hairline and maybe I will I’ve always had a larger forehead so I’m not stressing over it.

Same natural lighting top down view.
    15628FFA-3494-45BA-AB8E-1AB05E9D6B8B.thumb.jpeg.a7bfa61cfc7ec41d1ca1b0605cd2e276.jpeg

Still slightly thinner towards the back crown area but not overly noticeable. Again, no hair fibers here so other then a bit of clay product for styling, it’s as natural as it gets. I could address this area as well but for now, I’m enjoying what I’ve got.

    1.25 mg Fin daily

    2.5 oral min daily.

I’ll check back in at 12 month mark.

  13. 6 MONTH UPDATE

As promised…here is 6 months post op.

2510 grafts FUE w/ Dr. Sahar Nadimi

    1mg of Fin daily

    2.5mg of Oral Min daily

I used natural outside lighting to take these shots as I was able to find pre op shots in similar lighting.

Frontal view. Post op no toppik or concealers. A slight bit of matte styling cream.

    06682005-A799-4917-907E-A4FB7BD573AA.thumb.jpeg.a29189a81132ca17e48a7fdca3096f0e.jpeg

Top down view w/ sunlight directly overhead. Again, no toppik or concealers in post op shot. For only 160 grafts in the crown area, I’m really surprised at how much this has improved.

    0B3A7251-D35A-4D2F-A55D-6DC793E84007.thumb.jpeg.06b9adaf633424f7a67b7ae4934a42cd.jpeg

I feel like there’s been slight improvement in thickness since month 4.5-5 and I can see in the frontal portion a lot of thinner hairs that haven’t matured yet but have popped through. I’m guessing these will thicken and add to the overall result as time passes.

As mentioned in my last update, I honestly couldn’t be happier. Nothing is perfect I suppose but I have zero complaints and consider the procedure at this point a success.  I feel like I’ve turned back the clock on my hair ten years.

HIGHLY recommend Dr. Nadimi and Chicago Hair Institute for anyone considering. The juice was worth the squeeze for sure. Only regret is waiting as long as I did to address my hair loss situation.

I’ll post back at month 10-12 either way but this will be my last update until then. If you’re reading this and have questions, feel free to message me or post here, I’ll answer asap.

Thanks for sharing and its looking fantastic.  Just wanted to chime in and say I hope you do still provide updates.  It's going to continue to get better, and for those of us on the fence (and leaning Dr Nadimi) your story would be extremely helpful in making a decision.

Thanks again... hope to see another update in a few weeks!

You bet! I’ll keep updates coming. I’m headed into 6 months and I guess I just assumed I was an early grower and saw in 5 months what others saw in a bit longer time period. It’s hard to imagine there will be much more of a visual improvement from the outside looking in but I will certainly check back in to provide that for those researching.

I’ll post back at the 6 month mark which is just over 3 weeks away.

wow man, these results are just insane. This is one of the most thorough threads i've seen anywhere regarding a Dr Nadimi hair transplant result and journey. Really appreciate you including such clear before/after pics from the exact same position and lighting. I'm sure this thread will provide anyone considering a hair transplant from Dr. Nadimi the assurance that they will receive top notch results, including myself. Congrats and thanks again.

    Thank you 🙏

While it’s only been just days shy of 5 months since the HT, it feels like it’s been a few years with all the research I’ve done lol

This forum helped me so I’m trying to give it back and as you said, there weren’t a ton of detailed threads on Dr. Nadimi so I wanted to be sure to provide that for people here.

    thanks again

I have to ask, what have your friends and family said to you?

Everyone has been super supportive since the beginning and I’ve even had a few of my balding friends schedule their ops who I’ve been sharing regular updates with. I guess I was the guinea pig 😂

My wife and I were looking at these before and afters earlier and she even mentioned how she’s hardly noticed the changes but looking back, she’s blown away at the results she sees now.

I actually think other people don’t think about it. We only think they do lol but those who I do talk to about it have been nothing but complimentary and supportive.

  17. 5 MONTH UPDATE:

I said I’d post back at 6 months but what the hell…..5 Months would technically be on the 26th but close enough to say 5 months I think.

I don’t even think I need to continue posting.  I would have been happy if this were my 12 month update let alone 5. The crown improved way more then I would have ever thought without a second op as well

I am Taking 1mg Fin and 2.5 Oral min daily for past 4-5 months. I have no doubt this has boosted the results. I have been taking biotin and different vitamins along with Collagen daily as well, can’t speak to their effectiveness on my hair but I am taking them nonetheless. If it ain’t broke 🤷‍♂️

Below are a few photos under same lighting in same room taken 6 months pre op (which I had sent to Dr  Konior and Dr. Nadimi) and now 5 months post op.

Left side: Pre Op and Right side: Today. 9B6E3B69-4FA9-4F52-A404-BDFA1F65BBE9.thumb.jpeg.f2187693ebd255cee3fcbeaef0b9d8c7.jpeg

I have a tad bit of styling paste in the last two post op photos, No hair fibers.

Top photo is with wet hair, which I find the density super impressive given my pre hair situation looked atrocious wet pre op.

What’s most crazy is without photos I can’t hardly remember what I looked like before now. Even my wife was a shocked looking at the before and after photos and she’s been here the whole time. I was pretty far gone. I feel like I’ve gotten 10 years back on my hair situation. I literally couldn’t be happier at this point.

I can see more colorless and thinner hairs growing in the hairline and slightly behind but the density of what’s there now makes it hard to see or notice at all.

Does anyone think I’ll continue to see improvement and if so, if what ways? I am struggling to see how it gets better from Here aside from maybe density but idk how much of a visual difference it would make now. It looks full to me as it is.

Thanks to this site and everyone who’s taken the time prior to share their experiences. I don’t think I would have taken this leap without it.

I’ll post again if I see visual differences but otherwise, this may be it for me. I consider this a success for now.

Results are looking great! The donor area post-op looked really good too. Do you know what size punch Dr. Nadimi used for your procedure?

I honestly don’t know but the donor looked untouched literally days after. I was kind of shocked. The whole recovery was pretty simple. I haven’t seen a case yet from Nadimi or Konior that exhibited a poor donor post op.

wow this is looking phenomenal for the 4th month mark. must have took so much patience to get to this point but looks great man.

Thank you. I’m def happy with my results thus far. It’s exceeded my expectations up to this point.  The first 3 months were the longest as not much happens that’s very noticeable.  Things def took off around the 3.5 month mark.
