  1. thanks. So i do minox daily but i can't do fin as it doesn't agree with me at all. Is it a bit of a grey area for surgeons, as dr reddy doesn't seem to want to and said a new hairline would make a big difference. He is right of course but i still have the thinning hair at the back i'm aware of constantly. I seem to see guys with the top scalp done with thinning hair, unless i'm imagining things? Thanks for all your advice.
  2. yes that is what he said. I do have thick hair back and sides. I was curious on all your thoughts about transplanting around mid top scalp without affecting existing hairs etc. Too be honest it's fine if doesn't want to do it, just wanted peoples experience here Thank you all
  3. thanks guys. I was just curious as he is probably right in that implanting new hair around the existing might make it fall out. I assumed that you could implant around it. Although the hair there at the moment is probably minox dependent. It's been stable and actually grown new hair since microneedling (albeit not as thick as years gone by). Was curious on your opinions as i would eventually after seeing how this goes like to get the top in the above pic done. Thanks all for your time
  4. sorry just wanted to add as it wouldn't let me edit. He thinks i have about 20k donors in total back and sides
  5. Hi all, I have been to see Dr Reddy and he said he can do my frontal areas temples only but he wont do the mid scalp or the front middle area because he thinks it will disrupt the existing hair, by placing inbetween (see pics). Too be honest my actual crown at the back doesn't look as bad as top, and i've heard that the crown can be pain to transplant due to the way it grows. I have been on minox for 10 years and microneedling for 2. Hair loss is pretty stable Fin doesn't agree with me, and i tried various doses etc but it gave me severe brain fog in that i couldn't do my job properly whilst on it. I've been fine since. Is this something that surgeons tend to avoid?. He didn't mention medication for that area but i can't do fin and already on min, although he does have minox with azaelic which was suggested is better. I was assuming that seeing as the temples are being done that leaving the exisiting front will make it look odd as i will have thicker hair from the donors? I can't really do abroad but i understand he is the best in uk Thanks all
  6. i'm sorry to hear that mate. I really am. Especially if your confidence is shot to pieces already. I hope you get your results you're after!. Yes you are right, if he is as good as people say here, then it's money well spent
  7. was that one session and 1500 grafts?. That does seem expensive from what i've seen so far. Thanks
  8. Wow how many grafts please ? is that expensive guys?. Thanks Interesting thanks guys. I wasn't aware of this
  9. Hi. My hair loss has been pretty stable for ten years considering. I have heard of topical fin but i can't see how that would be absorbed and not only work but not give you brain fog. It was horrific for me. It wasn't just in my head i came off just to test. The brain fog was horrendous in that i couldn't do my IT job. @J.A.C thanks again. It does look like Dr Reddy is one of the main ones, although i think he is going to be astronomical by the sounds of things. I think you need the covid jab to go to turkey, so i wouldn't be able to. As long as there are some good ones here, which it sounds like there is.
  10. wow thanks for the quick replies, i'm impressed!. It's really strange as microneedling really did grow back a lot of my frontal hair line with minoxidil, but it's not really doing anything for my crown. I have been doing it for 2 years now. @rolandas I do see Dr reddy mentioned a lot. Is he cheaper if i was to not visit harley street?. Have you had any work done from him?. As the above pictures i would like the right hand side temple lowered slightly and crown filled in. What would you say i am on the norwood scale?. Not sure how many grafts i would need?. I did read something about Dr reddy charging by hair and not graft, if that's true then that's bad. @j.a.c Dr Farjo sounds familiar?. Did he do some celebrities. Thanks so much guys. It's getting me down and my depression lately and i want to do something about it
  11. Hi all, Firstly what a great website and forum, with some quite extensive knowledge for people to look at.! I know this has probably been asked a million times, but who would be the best for a decent transplant in the UK. I can't go abroad as i couldn't have the Covid vaccination so i want to stick to the UK if there are good enough surgeons. I have seen Dr Reddy and Farjo mentioned in some research, but I'm confused as there is so many!. They all have the polished websites and look like they could be aggressive in sales tactics, which is a big now from me. I don't want to end up with being a horror story. I have been on minoxidil for 10 years and microneedling made a big difference to my front hairline but not the crown. Also i tried with finasteride but it gave me sever brain fog!. I work in IT and noticed i couldn't think straight. I stopped the medication and it reversed. Even tried smaller doses and every other day but still the same. Hair loss is horrible, and i don't like the way i look at 42. Thank you all so much. I really appreciate advice
