  1. Well the time has finally arrived. Ill add to this thread soon documenting the full journey including before and after pics as well as updates. Arrived in brussels this morning. 1st word of warning is DO NOT stay at the value stay. Location is great. You could literally throw a stone and hit Dr. Bisanga on the head its that close but my god its soooo rough. It wouldnt be a value stay if they let you stay there free. At my pre op consultation Dr. Bisanga suggested the cotรจ vert and got me a good deal on 2 nights there to see me through. Great hotel and worth the money. Thanks Doc and thanks for making me feel comfortable in the office along with Dr. Kostis and other staff members. I was feeling tad nervous but all the staff were so nice that all the nerves just flitted away. Pictures took, hairline designed, density and donor measured. Listened to my questions and took on board what i wanted which was a little too much but gave me solid advice as to why it needed to be a little more conservative and gave me a small compromise. Completely happy with his design and i have complete trust in him and the team. A suggested 1200 or so grafts will be relocated in the morning to my hairline by one of the greats of this industry. Feel grateful and lucky hes working my case. Time to get it done. Keep you all posted ๐Ÿ‘
  2. Sorry im with you now mike. My brother is in a similar position to me at 36 with no meds. When i started propecia i had no issues other than the hairline but i do think it has strengthened and thickened what i have a touch on top. I dont seem to be in much worse a position than when i consulted with Dr. Bisanga some years back luckily other than my hairline has gone a touch more but more so on the right side. Maybe genes maybe meds who knows
  3. Not really sure who or if anyone said my situation was exceptional. I also do realise my hair is still good but my hairline isnt as good as id like it and doesnt allow me to wear it short without it being obvious hence the reason im acting on it now๐Ÿ‘
  4. I promise you just the medication lol. Made me laugh a bit that did ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ‘
  5. Yes as i decided to wait it out. As i say i can hide it fairly well but now needs done
  6. Im on propecia anyway and have been for quite some time. Maybe thats why my hair is so thick so ill just continue as i am as hes not suggested any change of plan๐Ÿ‘
  7. Thanks Archan. You are too kind good sir ๐Ÿ™
  8. Im 45 so fingers crossed ill only need 1 procedure but see what happens down the line๐Ÿ‘
  9. Yes its natural. It looks ok but if i go shorter you see the corners are gone. I just manage to hide it fairly well until i go shorter
  10. Thanks alot. I know i am going to be looked after. Thanks for the compliment. Just wish my hairline was as strong as the rest ๐Ÿ˜„
  11. Well the time is nearly here. Im about a week away from my procedure day with only Doc i really wanted to fix my problem. Consulted with many over the years but in my mind Dr. Bisanga was always the man for the job. I have and kind of still can hide my uneven recession quite well due to my hair being thick but im tired of pushing and pulling my hair in certain ways to cover up my high uneven hair line and would like the option to have it shorter which then highlights my problem way more. I head to belgium next tuesday for an unshaven 1200 to 1500 graft procedure to fix my corners and even things out up front. Not going lower but just bringing my corners back. I opted for a shared surgery with a little twist as Dr. Bisanga and Dr. Kostis will share the extractions down the middle but only Dr. Bisanga will be doing the surgery planning and all the incisions. I have met Dr. Bisanga a few times over the years and have confidence and trust in him and he has full trust in Dr. Kostis operating under Bhr clinic so therefore i had no problem in the shared option with Dr. Bisanga doing all incisions. I plan to document my prcedure and progress to help people with their options and welcome any advice from anyone willing to offer. Wish me luck folks๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜Š
  12. I know. Im so glad ive got the opportunity for him to help my situation ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ
  13. Just a quick update and a bit of a u turn. Was ready to push the button with Dr. Bicer but re contacted and just booked up with my original 1st choice Dr. Bisanga for a small procedure in brussels. Big thanks to his fantastic patient advisor Ian who answered every question i had promptly and has been a great help. Still a few months away from the date due to work/home commitments but its in the diary. Looking forward to giving you all an update once done. Wish me luck ๐Ÿคž
  14. Thank you for your advice. Very assuring and much appreciated ๐Ÿ™
  15. Thanks for the advice. I think im gooing to stick to Dr. Bicer anyway in truth. Seems to be a lot of good about her and her work
  16. Thanks mike. All the docs i have seen have not mentioned a 2nd run or raised any concerns about density so im guessing all should be good but i will ask the question ๐Ÿ‘
