we would like to present below a case of a patient with a Norwood III level. You can find below the details of the surgery.

Patient Details 

Surgical Plan: Hairline reconstruction, density increase in the frontal and fronto-temporal. The surgery was performed in one day with 2 sessions of extraction and implantation . 

Patient´s age: 49 years old. Patient was using finasteride and minoxidil prior to the surgery and he continued afterwards.

Hair Thickness: average hair thickness.

Hair Type: caucasian, dark brown, straight hair.

Number of Grafts Implanted: All grafts were implanted in the hairline and frontal area.

0.85mm micromotor and manual punch were used for the extraction.

Patient Details: 32 years old patient. The patient was not using any medication prior to the surgery.

Surgical Plan: Hairline reconstruction, density increase in the frontal, fronto-temporal area and midscalp.  The surgery was performed in 1 day  and 3006 grafts were implanted in the surgery. 300 single grafts were implanted in the hairline, 2200 in the frontal area and 500 were implanted in the midscalp

Hair type: caucasian, brown and average hair thickness.

0.8mm motorised punch was used for the extraction.

Please note that the post op photos are provided by the patient. We request the photos in the precise angles and with the proper lighting and sharpness, however, sometimes the quality may not be as good as we would like to.

During the consultation the patient also show some thinning in the mid scalp and upper vertex which were also addressed in this surgery. The surgery was performed in one day with 2 sessions of extraction and implantation 

Patient´s age: 26 years old. The patient was using finasteride prior to the surgery.

Number of Grafts Implanted: 2468 grafts, 230 grafts were implanted in the mid scalp, 40 grafts in the upper vertex and the rest of the grafts were implanted in the hairline and frontal area.

Patient Details: 31 years old patient. The patient was not using any medication prior to the surgery.

Surgical Plan: Hairline reconstruction, density increase in the frontal, fronto-temporal area and crown.  The surgery was performed in 1 day with 3034 grafts implanted in total, 300 fine single grafts were implanted in the hairline, 2100 grafts in the frontal area, and the rest in the bridge and crown area.

Hair type: caucasian, brown and thin hair.

0.8mm motorised punch was used for the extraction.

Dr. Turan did not ask and explain this to me that someone else would work on my crown. I would like to add that the agreement says Dr. Turan does all the transplants. 

Also, I did not give a verbal consent. All I saw was Dr. Turan leaving for the night after finishing my hairline and someone behind me immediately started working on my crown. At this point what do you do? You travel thousands miles over seas and you have no choice now, might as well have them finish it. I just didn’t think it would be so poor, even if it was another “trained doctor”, which I highly doubt it was. I remember there being one other doctor a woman, and she was not behind me working on my crown. It was a man. And it was more than likely a nurse or medical assistant, as those were the only people I met there. 

And this about principle, respect, and honoring your agreement of Dr. Turan doing all the transplants. 
 

By the way, I refused to communicate with FUECapillar any further after they denied that they were hygienic, which they were not. They tried contacting me, but I will not answer them. They rubbed me the wrong way by stating that none of the nurses had their masks down or the fact that one took the same gloves and put them back on and saying it was because of the drug that I misinterpreted it.
 

I just hope my experience and calling them out will give other future transplant patients a better one.

Let us be abundantly clear on this topic one last time.

Since 2019, Dr Turan has only had two doctors in training, and both of them were female. There has never been a male doctor in our practice besides Dr Turan.

Regarding a male person other than Dr. Turan implanting on your scalp:
- After the second extraction and implantation session, Dr. Turan asked for additional grafts for your crown. Please note that at this point (after the second extraction), 2641 grafts were already extracted and implanted. 
- Dr Turan called in his extraction specialist, -he is the male person that you are referring to- to perform an additional extraction of 182 grafts. 
- As pointed out by Dr. Turan during the consultation, you have a high density of native hair in the crown area and taking into consideration your age and the possible progression of the hair loss in the area, Dr. Turan performed the implantation in between your native hair, not on top of your native hair. 
- The 182 grafts were extracted using the manual punch, the grafts were harvested by the nurses and Dr Turan finished the implantation on the crown.

Patient Details 

Surgical Plan: Hairline reconstruction, density increase in the frontal, fronto-temporal area, mid scalp and crown. The surgery was performed in two consecutive days with 4 sessions of extraction and implantation 

Patient´s age: 43 years old. The patient was using finasteride and minoxidil prior to the surgery and he continued after the surgery.

Hair Thickness: Average hair thickness.

Hair Type: caucasian, grey hair and average thick hair

Number of Grafts Implanted: 3643 grafts, 1870 grafts were implanted in the hairline and frontal area. 902 grafts were implanted in the mid scalp and 871 in the crown area.

0.8mm manual and micromotor punch were used for the extraction.

Dr Turan is the only person performing the implantation in all his patients. Having said this, we do have other doctors in training and they participate in the hair transplants, BUT when this happens Dr Turan always asks and explains this to the patient, and he needs to consent to it.

All doctors you considered (Bicer, Yaman, Turan and Gur) are ethical ones and can give you a nice dense result..You can also check Dr Demirsoy he charges (1-1.5 euro/graft depending on his involvement on the procedure).

Keep in mind that you will need finasteride to stabilise your hair loss.
