  1. 6 Month Update Officially at the half way mark! Over the last 30 days I’ve noticed the texture of the transplanted hair changing & starting to feel a lot more like the native hair around it. I took these pictures out of the shower, very happy with the results so far.
  2. I’ll be posting a 6th month update soon! I try to do it the 21st of every month as that was the final day of my surgery. So 6 months ago was day 1 of 3. It really has, it’s wild!
  3. Thank you @Gatsby! Yes I’m very excited to see where I’m at come the 1 year mark. If this was as good as it gets I would be satisfied. Anything else is icing on the cake😎 Feels great to not have to worry about covering my massive forehead 24/7, like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Seeing the pre op pictures it’s crazy to me I put up with that for so long
  4. 5 Month Update Today marks 5 months since my surgery with Dr. Pekiner. Over the last 30 days I’ve definitely seen more improvement in thickness and still some new hairs sprouting. My right side is very strong, the middle has caught up over the last month and the left has seen improvement but when dry there is one spot that is still a tad thin but considering where I started I couldn’t be happier. Still 7 months left for it to thicken and mature so I’m not worried - could also be the hair is still very kinky and wiry so it drys funny because the left side looks pretty solid when my hair is wet or styled. I just let it dry naturally for these photos. Also noticed a multigraft or two in the hairline, but it happens so not a huge deal. Overall I’m very happy to have a hairline for the first time in my life and looking forward to see any changes over the next 30 days. Definitely one of the best investments I’ve ever made! Side note: I know I would look much better getting a haircut and cleaning it up but I haven’t cut it since the procedure as I’m looking to get some good length back! My hair was pretty long pre op & I miss it haha Here are some photos of my hair both wet & dry:
  5. Incredible results man, wow. I know around 5 months you were asking if you would see anymore growth. Did you experience more growth in the last 3 months going from 5 to 8 months?
  6. Thanks man! Around 2 weeks ago is when the growth has kicked in & been quite explosive. I’m hoping there is still plenty on the way!
  7. Hey man! Yeah, I remember reaching out to you about Diep end of 2021. I’m glad things turned out how they did as well, feel lucky to have dodged that bullet.
  8. Absolutely! I’m definitely still getting used to the fact I even have a hairline now haha.
  9. 4 Month Update It’s officially been 4 months since my surgery, time is moving fast! I’ve seen a lot of improvement over the last 30 days. Hair is getting thicker and still sprouting. My right side is definitely coming in faster than the middle & left so they have a bit of catching up to do but I know it’s very early so not worried about it coming in uneven or anything. Providing pictures of my hair both dry & wet. Hoping the next 30 days brings more growth and density. Will report back then!
  10. I sent you a dm, hopefully you’ll be able to see it I’m not sure about the rules for a new account.
  11. Spring15! You finally got your surgery with pekiner - congrats! The work looks excellent, happy growing!
  12. Thanks! So, his website isn’t really functional at the moment but you can contact his patient coordinator on WhatsApp - that’s what I did. I’m not sure I’m allowed to give his contact info on here. @Melvin- Moderator is it fine to give him the WhatsApp number to reach out to the clinic or does it have to be done over a DM?
  13. Thanks! Yeah I think the definition looks good for only 3 months. The middle section is definitely growing slower than the rest and still has a few areas where hair needs to pop through but I know it’s still extremely early so not worried about that yet.
  14. Thanks! I started 1mg fin MWF 2 weeks before my surgery and have kept it up since. No min.
  15. 3 Month Update Well, it’s officially been 3 months since my surgery. The last 4 weeks I’ve seen a low of growth and hairs starting to sprout. I think the next 30 days should be interesting, I feel like I’m at the stage where it’s just looking better every week. Still have a long way to go, but for 3 months I’m happy with the progress so far.
  16. 2.5 months mini update. I hopped fresh out of the shower and was surprised how much new hairs have started to sprout in the last few weeks. It’s really starting to come along.
  17. Officially 2 months post-op. Bit of a boring update, but going to try and do this monthly until the 1 year mark. The hairs that didn’t shed have grown quite long and I’m starting to see a lot of new hairs sprouting. Numbness is almost completely gone. Still dealing with a bit of itching. Haven’t cut my hair since the procedure, it was pretty long pre-op and trying to get some length back. Looking forward to month 3 & will report back then.
  18. I don’t think general anesthesia being the “golden standard” would be a good thing for the hair transplant industry. It poses unnecessary risk to the patient & would certainly increase the cost greatly (specifically in the US). Perhaps an option for someone who wants it, but gold standard.. I don’t see that ever happening. Imagine hair mills using this if it was the golden standard, that’s a scary thought.
  19. Well I chose Cooley because he specializes in FUT work and produces minimal scarring. When I decided I want FUE instead, I couldn’t find much results of his using this method. So I chose someone else who specializes specifically in FUE. I’m not sure Cooleys FUE cost but his FUT price is about $4.8/graft
  20. Well it’s officially been 1 month since my surgery. No matter how much you prepare for the ugly duckling phase, when it hits it hits hard. I started to shed pretty intensely on week 3 and now going into week 5 I’ve shed around 90% of the transplanted grafts. I was definitely enjoying the buzzcut look at week 2 and beginning of week 3 but of course, knew it wasn’t going to last forever. I’m very happy with how my donor has healed, it honestly looks untouched and it’s only been a month. My head has been a bit itchy & I’m still dealing with some numbness, redness and now pimples in the recipient area but hoping this will clear soon. Overall, for 1 month I’m pretty happy and can’t wait to get out of the ugly duckling phase. 1 month post-op. Recipient area: 1 month post-op. Donor area: Week 2. Enjoying the buzzcut look: Week 3. Taken after I noticed it was starting to shed:
