  1. @YodaHead I traveled to see Pittella from the US a week before you did...I had a similar positive experience and have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff...I am just over a month and so far everything is going smooth - and that is coming from a guy who's hair is starting to shed rapidly (ha).....I have all my photos saved and plan to do a detailed write up on this forum eventually... Just wanted to drop you a line and say: Thanks for sharing your journey and good luck during the process and I will be following closely.
  2. Very natural and dense! Looking good and still more growth to come...Simply amazing.
  3. Pittella continuing to prove he is at the top of his game. Great result for only 6mo!
  4. Pittella in a league of his own for NW5+. Great write up - can’t wait to see the progress.
  5. I am scheduled with Dr Pittella. Will be traveling from USA. Scheduled for Nov 23
  6. This will be a home run. I can tell @Jefferson Botan Lopes did he extract chest hairs too or just beard?
  7. Jumping on this thread @airporteffectbecause the one I posted about seems to have taken a life of its own. I consulted with Buchwach 3yrs ago. He was the first option that popped up when googling in the area. I was ready to go with him, actually spoke to one of his former patients too…tbh I’m sure he will be fine but I do think his Google reviews are fake and that’s what turned me off. Try researching the vast majority of them I couldn’t find anything on a lot of them…they were all 5 stars…just didn't buy it. Sounds like he uses techs that fly in that are trained on his machine that are good and do the implantations or did at the time. The photos he showed me in his office were poloroids that looked like they were from the early 90’s. Lol - unimpressed. based on your pics I don’t think your making a bad decision. If it was me I’d travel to see the right Dr or at least consult with others…Im a NW5 so they 2.3k grafts he quoted simply won’t work for my situation. Good luck!
  8. Why he is not on the recommended list and his Google reviews look fake
  9. Photos of my balding attached. Let me know what you all think. Buzzed it down shorter than it’s ever been with zero and 1 Gaurd. My hair is naturally thin. I’ve only had one in person consultation with Dr Ken Buchwach in Kansas City. He said my donor was average but I wouldn’t go to him for many reasons, so I don’t much stock in his evaluation. Har never heard of Dr Zarev. But now looking after @hairman22 mentioned him…Wow…how is he not more mainstream. Seems to good to be true.
  10. Ok guys. I’m getting ready to put my deposit down on a HT. I am 38yo and am considered a N5-N6. It’s down to H&W or Eugenix. I’ve consulted Konoir as well…but would prefer to do a higher number of grafts on the first go. I prefer to go the FUE route over FUT and have realistic expectations for coverage in front and mid scalp. I know I’ll need a 2nd procedure for crown but it won’t be priority. I know the obvious response will be I need to be on Fin but I’ve tried 5 times to get on the oral Fin and every time I do, the first week is fine but then I develop side effects that force me to stop. Even micro-dosing doesn’t seem to wrk. I am opening to trying the topical fin but not overly optimistic on it. Any forum members that proceeded with getting a HT that aren’t on Fin and have good results? I suppose my logic is I am already close to N6 so there’s not much of my native hair there to begin with…so if it goes, it goes and I could leave the crown and reinforce down the road… I just wouldn’t want to donor hair to fail. just looking for someone to tell me I am not crazy and I’m not wasting my money😆
  11. Thank you @Melvin- Moderator Current photos attached, safe to say as it gets thinner on top that I will be completely bald from front to crown in 5yrs is my guess. If I am willing to pay H&W pricing, I might as well start considering US clinics. Any in US this board highly recommends? Safe to say I will need 4-5K grafts, plus an additional procedure for crown later Eugenix seems to be good for higher NW patients from what I can tell...wouldn't be thrilled about traveling to India but i should probably leave no stone unturned at this point.
  12. Long time lurker, first time poster here! Have been putting off a HT for the past 1-2 years. Was close to getting one two years ago, but kept reading and hearing that without Fin that the results wouldn't be guaranteed. The idea of being locked into taking a pill for the next 30+yrs seemed a bit concerning. However, after finding this site and reading quite a bit of reviews and talking to a few clinics it would seem as if Fin is preferred but not necessarily required, so hence I am starting to get serious about making the plunge. I have done minox off and on and no side effects with it, it would be willing to go back on it with no problem. I wouldn't say cost is a concern per say as the most important thing to me at the end of the day is a great result. However, I am seeing some great results overseas and am ok to travel abroad for HT. I got a few quotes from US clinics - and they seem conservative, only recommending 2,300 grafts in one sitting, and sometimes suggesting 2-3 procedures. Currently age: 36, NW5, I live in the Midwest US. Don't need an aggressive hairline but would like to fill in front/middle and am ok doing a 2nd procedure for crown later on. So far here is my list, please help me decide if I should add others to the list or comments on ones I mention below... HLC - I like the idea of stick/place and doctors performing the work, also I like that they take beard plugs - (I have good density along the neckline) H&W - Got an initial consultation and their price for FUE is quite a bit more, I get the feeling they would want me to go the FUT route, which I would prefer FUE Dr. Bicer - I just discovered her today on this forum, still need to do some research. Curious to compare her results from manual vs machine FUE, quite a bit difference in price I would love to get it done here by DEC/JAN so I can wait out the ugly duckling phase in the winter months here in Midwest and hopefully by spring/summer when my work travel and activities pick up my appearance won't be so bad. It would appear most clinics are starting to book out until March from what I can tell. TIA -
