  1. I used Wise for my HT with Eugenix and paid for my emtire procedure upfront before leaving my country. I had no issue. Like you mentioned, just set up Eugenix as the receiver, and the rest is not that difficult. For my own piece of mind I wanted to get the payment squared away before leaving my home country. I couldn't imagine traveling all the way to India just to be unable to make a payment...

I'm also using Wise again for my 2nd sitting with Eugenix. Additionally, I also used the Wise card to pay for my hotel in person. The Wuse card was definitely worth getting imo..

On a side note, if you plan on relying on an American Express card for shopping or whatever, take note that some vendors do not except it.

  2. Thank you for the informative write up. I'll be traveling next month to Eugenix from North America.

Could you approximate your daily cost for food ? And does your hotel offer a way for you to clean your laundry?

Also, would you recommend taking extra leg room for the flight? the cost to upgrade is significant so I'm unsure if the cost will be worth it.

@Ronnie yeah we'll definitely overlap if you're staying for 2 weeks. I arrive in Delhi on the 21st and will be leaving on the 31st. Let's PM, would be great to meet in person at the clinic. Maybe @Kariminho will end up going around the same time too.

Sure, Sounds good. I enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures. It will be good to share the experience, especially being my first HT

I'll be starting a post of my HT journey as soon as I have some free time.

ah you're going much earlier than I am. My procedure is planned for December 27 so I will be spending the week of Christmas in Delhi. How long are you planning to stay in India post op? I was originally planning to stay 7 days post op so I could go to Eugenix for my first hair wash but that does not seem necessary so I'm leaving 3 days post op.

I think it's a great idea that you picked the Super Premium package. Eugenix's donor management seems to be really good so you're in great hands with them.

Hi .. My procedure is on the 21st and I'm staying for 2 weeks, there's a possibility we'll cross paths. I'll be spending Xmas and New years in Delhi. Should be interesting being my first time out of the U.S.

I'm very curious if there's any subsequent advantage with the different packages ? I personally choose the 2nd one, which they say is the most popular.

Bangs was literally my whole childhood so feel for ya bro!😂

I mean my flight was only 2 hours so I didn’t need extra legroom but if you are traveling all the way to India you might want to opt for extra legroom.

    is this your first procedure?

do you have any pics or a thread on this forum?

What I would give to wear my hair up and feel comfortable and carefree about it !!!

Yes this is my first procedure.

I have pics that I used for my consult with Eugenix, but I haven't started a thread yet.  I might start one just to help anyone else that is considering traveling to Eugenix from the U.S.

The extra legroom is $130 U.S. dollars each flight and since I have a layover each way it would be X4, so that's an additional $520, so I might not.

Lmao 😂😂 don’t know about that but definitely these are incredible results from where I was coming from.

it’s funny because I never really had much hair loss, just some slight recession.

The reason I got my first procedure was to lower my hairline as I was born with a VERY large forehead that I was self conscious about.

Unfortunately I tend to make rash decisions and dove in too quickly to hair transplantation thinking it was just a case of taking hair out and replacing it. Little did I know about the many intricacies of this procedure to achieve naturalness and just how many incompetent and unethical surgeons that exist in this world!

Anyway after a long and painful journey I seem to have accomplished my original goal to lower my hairline by about 2cm.

(Just took the scenic route to get to this point 😅)

Exactly my issue also, I inherited my huge forehead from my mother's side, and if you have a reciting hairline with a large forehead it's very discouraging.. I am so done wearing bangs.. I  could get into a head butt contest with a herd of mountain goats with my big forehead and walk away a  champion. 😅

BTW, Can you tell me if you opted for the extra legroom on your flight, I'm curious if it makes much of a difference to be worth the added cost when I fly to India for my procedure.

It's a Westin hotel, and is up to standard with any Westin you would find in the states. Very nice and clean. Just be sure to purchase an India to US power converter.  Purchased mine from Amazon, worked like a charm.

India Plug Adapter, TESSAN 5 in 1 Nepal Travel Adapter Plug with 3 US Power Outlets and 2 USB Charging Ports, US to India Bangladesh Maldives Nepal Pakistan Plug Adapter - Safe Grounded Type D Plug https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZZZXMT9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_W9K9YNYWC87ZHVE7ST89?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Thank you, I've added one to my shopping cart on Amazon amongst some other necessities.. 👍

How did you use your cell phone in India ? Did you rely on wifi for any phone calls/texting and internet use ?

@Ronnie Firstly congratulations and you'll take comfort in making a great decision! I stayed at the Westin Gurgaon, having previously stayed there on previous trips to India I knew the high quality to expect.

It's 5 star and will be one of the best hospitality and top notch quality experiences you'll encounter.

I got to interact with the executive chef and head chefs, executive housekeeper, general manager, and food and beverage directors - I bestowed my thanks and comments to them and individuals who made the stay enjoyable having stayed for 13 nights in total.

They have 4 different restaurants each with head chefs from country of restaurant like Italian and Japanese, top spa/sauna/steam, and beautiful outdoors/indoors area.

They had laundry facility, which I used. They have chaffeur services and concierge who will arrange/accommodate anything. It was Navratri when I was in India and reply wanted to do garba/dandiya, the general manager Rahul took it upon himself to find me a place.

I would stay at any of the 3/4/5 star hotels in Gurgaon close to Eugenix (10-15 min drive away). There are plenty of them to choose from. Check their amenities and rates.

They you for the help with all that info, great to know. Puts my mind at further ease, and I'm actually looking forward to the experience. 🙂

Did you pay for your procedure in advance? This is what I am planning to do since my bank will reject international charges on my debit card.

  10. Thank you for all the useful info !!

I'll be traveling to Eugenix in December from the U.S. for my upcoming procedure. This will actually be my first time traveling out of the country.

I'll be staying for 2 weeks in India, just for my own personal comfort so I have accomplished some healing before traveling back home half way around the world.

Anyway, Could you tell me what were the standards at the hotel like ? Was it clean and modern? everything was efficient? Do they have laundry facilities if I need to do my laundry?

You covered a lot of great info, I can't think of anything else at the moment..

At the moment that is the only avenue to enter india unless you hold an Indian passport. Getting an e-visa takes about 72 hours after you pay the $80 fee. And don't worry about getting local currency. Unless you're planning to do some extra activities on your own you really don't need any cash at all. Eugenix gives you a full ride. I never took out any cash.

Got my surgery date with Eugenix set up and my Medical visa was just approved, the process was easier than I thought. Next step is just booking the flight..  😀

Awesome !! Thank you for the info.

So, I'm guessing you paid for your entire HT up front or did you just give the required down payment and use a CC or debit card to pay the balance ?

  13. @Rick__ Did you get a medical visa for your second trip to Eugenix ?

I have my second consult with Eugenix tomorrow, and I'm already thinking ahead on how I'm going to organize this all. Also, I saw a Youtube vid where someone said it's best to get rs funds while at the Inia airport rather than exchanging funds at your home country of origin (U.S.A. for me) due to the exchange fees, Is this what you did ?

  14. Hi Melvin

I'm having my second consult tomorrow with Eugenix, I had my first consult a few months ago. I was going to wait until I was done with my college degree program, but if all goes well I plan on doing my HT during the end of the fall semester so it will be right before Christmas and I'll probably stay until the first week of January before returning back to the U.S.

It would be cool if we both had our HT's at the same time period. Are you going to get the Med Visa? It seems like it will take some planning to organize the trip and everything.

I'll def be wearing a hat when my last college semester starts, but I really am done with waiting to get this HT done. I saw your instagram live with the doctors. It was helpful in giving me additional trust in Eugenix. Besides,  I've never been outside the states yet.

I'll let you know how my consult goes tomorrow, maybe we can connect if things progress with Eugenix.

BTW I'm not new to this site, I was on here quite a few years ago, but I was signed up under a different email I no longer use.
