  1. Hey there, I was recommended by my hair transplant doctor to do PRP every 3 months for the year of healing. Apparently, PRF is the newer version and found some around the NYC area. They told me to do it 6-8 weeks 3 times a year. My question is it really necessary or even helpful? Would it be useful to use it and do it for up to 2 years after surgery to prevent any hair loss then stop?
  2. Hello Community, I recently had a FUE and am going to be on Finasteride (1mg MWF) and wanted to do switch to the oral minoxidil from the topical. Is this a good combo? How much and often should the oral minoxidil be taken a week? 1 tablet a day? Best
  3. Dear Community, I am beginning to take fiansteride (3 times a week) as there seems to be a slight difference between that and doing it daily. Concerning oral minoxidil, is there a similar effect and treatment method? Or is it one a day? Best
  4. Sorry for bombaring with question, but where is the best and cheapest place to get supplies for finasteride?
  5. How about the oral vs tropical solution for Minox (I would prefer the oral if I had the choice)
  6. Its hard to say as I had a DHI surgery last year and had been using it ever since then. When I used finasteride for a while, I did see results but unfortunately it was not long enough. However, I am not sure about Saw Palmetto. I was wondering if Finasteride was more clinically proven and others had better results. Also, this is a second question. Are there any differences between oral and tropical minodxil.
  7. Hello Community, I just had FUE surgery and had been using Saw Palmetto for roughly a year. I have around 5-6 months of supply. I was wondering if finasteride is the better option? Also, if I switch to it after 5-6 months, will I lose hair in the process of the switch. (I had used finasteride for 2 months in the past with no adverse results) Thanks for the response in advance.
  8. I also do and I definitely won't return. I wish I knew that a year ago.
  9. Thanks for the info and response! It looked extremely patchy, and I am going back into the office. I was hoping to make it look more even. Dr. Emrah Cinic - Yes, they said they would make it denser and cover the cost. They have extremely good reviews. I fear I messed up there. I added some of the initial pictures. I was on minoxidil. I have stopped using it after the first surgery and began using saw palmetto and vitamins of biotin, calcium, magnesium daily as well as vivascul. I will be doing prp every 2-3 months for the next year and will be only using caffeine shampoo.
  10. Dear Community, I need some advice and insight. I had a DHI done on 9/18/20 in Turkey. They used 2400. They mostly did it in the front and a few on the crown area. 11 months later, the hair was not dense. Hence, on 8/13/21, I did a revision surgery. it was FUE and 2460 grafts onto the front again. However, 3 weeks later, today 9/3/21, I am worried that they overharvested. I went to a barber and he mentioned how bad it looks from the back. He mentioned that he has a lot of customers who did a hair transplant and it usually does not look so bad and obvious. Could you provide me with some advice. I want to believe that the redness is temporary. But, it does look quite badly. Thanks in advance for your insights and comments.
