Hey guys, I have a question regarding my fathers hair. Like I told you in a previous post he has thick black hair and they are also very long for men (shoulder lenght). He has not been affected by male pattern baldness. Doctor said he is a norwood 1, whatever the hell that means. About two weeks ago he discovered four patches on his scalp (diameter around 1.5cm). He went to the dermatologist and she gave him something called minoxidil. He needs to apply this daily. Will these patches go away with time, because according to my own research the patches should dissappear by themselves in 3-4 months. Thanks in advance!

@Melvin- Moderator@LaserCaps @JP28 I have some great news! I went to my dermatologist and she took a look at my hair and scalp. She praised my hair fot being really thick. She said I am not affected by hairloss. She also gave me a medical shampoo for my dandruff.

@Melvin- Moderator slight tginning is normal I think. It could also be shock hairloss. I have lost a lot of weight in the past 4 months (21 pounds). I also changed my diet.

@jp28 Thabk you for your comment. I have struggled with dandruff all my life any shampoo suggestions? None seem to have worked

@Melvin- Moderator my mothers father was bald at 50. My father has really long and same thick hair (shoulder lenght) and he is 43 (no hair loss for him). I know I need to keep and eye on it and that I will do:)

Good day, I am new here and I am wondering if I have hairloss. I live in Pakistan and considering I am only 18 years old I do not think hairloss should be an issue. Nontheless I discovered, that my scalp is visible when my hair is drenched in water and shampooed. My hair is thick and currently it is shorter than it usually is. I attached also some pictures where my hair is 100% dry.
