This is right after application though, we dont know how long it lasts
We do actually. A few years dependent on your body's reaction to the ink and your sun use.
And most SMP places give you a discounted follow up to last even longer.

I think it's a great option

I would highly consider SMP for this.

Wow coming along really strong. How’s the rest of the scalp look? As well as the donor area?
I have some spots in my donor area that look weak but it honestly doesn't bother me.
My crown is still a work in process so I'm gonna wait a few more months to post an update but it's heading in the right direction.
I plan on getting SMP done in a few months so I'll post a final round of pictures before I get it done.

I have emailed and sent whatapps messages but I have not heard back. I was told to wait 10/20 days and everything went radio silence since then. I followed up but nothing. So at this point I dont consider Pekiner an option anymore. Its hard to think even if his team answers now itll be the same come time for the actual operation. Plus Pekiner now charges 3 per graft.
I think Freitas is a really good choice but his waiting times are way too long for me. But, considering his results I dont think Eugenix, Bisanga, or HLC are too far apart?
Interesting, he responds immediately when I Whatsapp him. But yes I would probably not continue if that has been your experience.
Eugenix, Bisanga, or HLC are also good alternatives.

This looks really good for 6.5 months. I was considering Pekiner as one of the surgeons I would consider but seeing as how its difficult to get in contact I have taken him to the bottom of my list.
What made you decide to go for Pekiner over your other choices?
Have you emailed?
I knew I wanted someone affordable and I saw a lot of before/afters that I really liked.
If I were to choose another surgeon I'd probably go with Freitas, his results are insane.

This is looking very good. Lots of density up front. How short is tour donor in the latest shots?
Sides are a #3 guard

Sorry for the delay guys!
6.5 months post op.
Overall I'm happy with where I'm at, I wasn't expecting full coverage on the crown but it's definitely improved and I still have a few more months for the final look. The front is filling in well though!
My only complaint: hair direction. I'm noticing the implanted hair is not exactly pointing in the same direction as my surrounding native hair, this is primarily for the front. It's long enough that I can style it and hold it down with pomade, but if I don't have any product, it's definitely wild at times.
All things considering I'd rate my happiness at an 8.5/10. WORTH IT

What did they quote you. You could easily put 3000 in there, it's nearly slick bald.
As to what Lasercaps pointed out, are you on finasteride?

@Colter Any update?

That new hairline is looking really good.
Crown will take a lot more time so be patient. How is the beard area? And the donor? Could you share some photos? On 1/10/2022 at 6:30 PM, 5BetaReductase said:Pep, you’re looking great. How has the donor recovered?
Hey sorry i've been busy. I'll post a full update in 2 weeks once I reach 6 months.

Thanks for the write-up!
I'm interested in doing some touch-ups eventually somewhere closer than 14 hours away so nice to know you had a good experience close to California.
Definitely following this.
Just curious, what was the cost per graft?

No I went to Pekiner in Turkey.
My recent transplant:
Also in that thread a few replies down is a link to my transplant with Wasserbauer.

Has anyone used Dr. Sara Wasserbauer in the Bay Area in the past? Looking for recommendations for an FUE HT surgeon here.
Thanks!
Personally, I would avoid her. She's extremely nice and probably very skilled if she was the one doing the full operation. But it's all techs doing the implanting, and I'd say 1/3 or my grafts survived. You can tell from her before/afters that they are just okay, not a lot of home run transformations.
H&W is the same price and better results and have an office in San Francisco.

I posted some new photos in my HT thread. It's looking still to early to see drastic differences in my mid/crown. I asked my first HT doctor for a prescription and she gave me one with no hesitation. Otherwise I'd buy probably just buy it online, it's like half the price of topical.

Damn I'd be anxious as hell having thousands of euro on me
I kept mine in an envelope and in my front pocket. I did have it in my bag at times too though, always by my side or in the hotel safe. I agree though, it's not ideal.

So does Pekiner Clinic not accept bank transfer? You had to pay in cash?
You have to pay in cash. In the beginning I was thinking this was going to be an issue since I was traveling across the globe, but it wasn't too bad.

Pekiner also requested to take less grafts than I wanted. Honest, passionate and skilled doctor.
This will be great, congrats @Vic
