  1. I paid something like £6k but that included private accommodation and a week’s worth of follow-up appts. Their prices have gone up in Jan 22. Also, there are different prices for different doctors so treat this as a guide. I am aware that Turkish clinics charge €1500 all-in but I made a conscious decision to pay more for a reputable clinic and it was worth every penny.
  2. Yes- I’ll be going back for a 2nd procedure to cover the crown in the next couple of months. I don’t take any drugs to stop hair loss. Never tried them as I don’t want to become dependent. Plus, I figure I’m 46 now and my hair loss has stabilised (fingers crossed!)
  3. Hi everyone, in December 2019 I spoke to 2 friends who had recently had FUE transplants. They showed me the before and after pictures, and I was amazed by what could be achieved. Since around 2005 I had been going bald and from about 2012 onwards, resigned myself to a shaved or near-shaved head at all times. I was an NW5 - see first photos below. I spent a while researching my options and originally booked myself into a bargain-bucket clinic in Turkey. Then Turkey went onto the UK's red travel list. Around the same time I started reading about horror stories at some of the cheaper clinics and realised I wasn't prepared to take risks with something as important as this. I spoke again to one of the friends who had had an FUE and he strongly advised me to invest the extra money and go to a reputable clinic. My research then led me to Doron Harati (via www.hairrestorationnetwork.com). Doron told me about the excellent work at HDC in Cyprus. He gave me a very realistic assessment of what could be achieved, without hype or exaggeration. I took the plunge and had my FUE transplant at HDC in June 2021. The procedure lasted 2 days, with a total of 3,400 follicles transplanted (see 2nd photo immediately post-op). This gave me a strong hairline for the first time in almost 20 years, and filled in most of the mid-scalp. The third photo below shows the regrowth after 5 months and the final photo montage is after 7 months (today in fact - 16th January 2022). I'm very happy with how natural it looks, and I am now planning a second procedure to cover my crown (which is still bald as you can see in the photos). But from most angles, I already look like I have a full head of hair.
