  1. Yes, the same Paul Rose in FL works w/ Dr. Shapiro in MPLS.
  2. Thanks guys. I suppose I should just keep my hair a little longer than usual for a while. I will definitely post some pics after my new hair has grown in... can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it!!
  3. Guys, Thank you for your thoughtful remarks. You both know how hard it is to sit and be patient. I have to do my best to focus on NOT looking at my head all the time. Robert, I looked at your pics and your progress looks great. I suppose it's even going to get better w/ more time. I'll try and get some pics up after the 5 and 6 month mark. Thanks again.
  4. Pwralleys- It's been 10 weeks since my procedure so I feel the hair (that was buzzed down) has had time to grow in. I was just shocked to see how visible it was when I had my hair cut short. It seems like a lot of guy's donor scars aren't as visible. I will try to get some pics up... in the meantime, where can I find yours? Thanks for your reply.
  5. Dr. Paul T. Rose at Shapiro's clinic in MPLS.
  6. All, I'm 10 weeks post-op (2,000 grafts) and had my hair cut pretty shorty the other day. My donor scar line is still VERY VISIBLE. Does this sound normal? I thought by now it would be difficult to see. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

  8. All, I had a procedure about 10 weeks ago from Dr. Rose @ Shapiro's clinic in MNPLS (2,000 grafts). I had my hair cut pretty short yesterday and noticed my donor scar line is still VERY VISIBLE. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this odd? Or can I expect it to become less & less visible over the next few months? Thanks.

  10. Pete68- What were YOUR thoughts of Dr. Konior?
  11. Pete68- I met with Dr. Konior back in early July and thoroughly enjoyed talking with him. He was very up-front and honest and I think I'd be in good hands should I decide to pursue an HT with him. However, I also met with Dr. Paul Rose and Dr. Ron Shapiro and felt equally as comfortable with them. At this time I am undecided. I sincerely believe all three doc's, including Dr. Konior, are excellent. I've talked to 5 or 6 or Dr. K's ex-patients and all of them are overwhelmingly positive about him and his results. I don't think you can wrong with him.
  12. Thanks Rugger. I'm surprised I haven't heard of this stuff before...
  13. I've noticed a number of guys on the site are taking something called 'MSM' that appears to be helping their hair growth, both transplanted and non-transplanted. Can somebody tell me what 'MSM' is and how I can get more information about it? Thanks.

  15. Howard, I had what I feel is a poor result through Bosley Medical last fall. It's been about 10 months since my first transplant and I haven't seen nearly the results I expected. It's been difficult to look in the mirror every day and not see what I had hoped I would see by now. And the only reason I went to Bosley was on a good friend's recommendation (he had a great result). I've realized that you need to be very exhaustive in searching for a good doctor. Part of me remains very skeptical - is the entire business just a sham or are there really good doctors out there that can do this the right way? I'm seeing a couple of doctors in the next couple of weeks to determine how many more grafts/procedures I'll need to accomplish my goals. I've researched each pretty exhaustively and I hope to make a very informed decision moving forward. So, to answer your questions, I would advise thorough research before making any decisions. Ask to speak to and meet several patients of different doctors. Being that hair restoration is such a big decision, it's important that you spend some quality time doing your homework. I will let everyone know how my consultations go with the doctors I'm seeing in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, I hope you see some more replies to your post. I hope this helps.
  16. Anyone who knows anything about Dr. Konior, please feel free to share. I'm seeing him in a couple weeks and would like to hear from ex-patients who have had work done by him. Postive or negative responses are appreciated. THANK YOU.
