Hi, andrewfaliro! Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m looking into seeing Bisanga as well. I’ll be traveling from the U.S. to Belgium for HT. Did you go to a general practitioner Dr or a Dermatologist for the note? I see that you mentioned a note was given to the clinic, but did a note have to be supplied to customs as well or just the clinic?
no, nothing to customs. All I did was forward the note to my patient advisor and that's it, it was never mentioned again.

For me, the best in Turkey is Pekiner.

Your natural hair is insanely thick, hot damn! You can't see scalp in it at all. Anyway, after about 1 year, you'll probably never think about your hair again (unless you want to lower your hairline) cause I think this is gonna be a homerun! Good luck.
thanks, I attribute a lot of that to the meds..they really helped thicken things up.
I hope you are right about the homerun, crossing my fingers!

Regarding this comment from OP, “
- A rectangular face shape that requires a broader hairline design
Do all surgeons take into account facial shape when determining the hairline design?
No idea. I was actually convinced that I had more of an oval shape face but Dr Bisanga assured me that I didn't.

Happy growing man. Looks solid work. With too many grafts in a small area you will get a pretty dense result! Can i ask you something? why you did not do the hair transplant with Dr Bisanga in BHR clinic in Athens, like you did with the consultation ?
Thanks, I hope you are right!
I really wanted to do the surgery in Athens but according his patient advisor, Dr Bisanga is no longer doing surgeries in Athens.

This is a sample letter of what you need:
Dear Dr ___________
RE: Patient Name, Address
I would be grateful if you could provide an assessment with a view to surgery for the aforementioned
patient.
He is (age) and has been suffering with androgenic alopecia since (date).
He has been using the following medication for the treatment of this:- (Medication) since....
Hair loss has impacted the patient emotionally and has caused anxiety, lack of confidence etc ...(put
conditions that affect your well-being).
Both I and the patient believe that a hair transplant could alleviate this issue and improve his well-being
both socially and professionally.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information.
Kind regardsSigned and stamped and on letter headed paper.

All you need is a doctors note stating that you have experienced negative psychological and/or physical issues related to hairloss. Give that to the clinic and there is nothing else to do, at least with Dr Bisanga. You don't need to pay and then get a refund.

If you get a note from a dr you can have it waived. I did it for my procedure with Dr Bisanga earlier this year.
I would contact the clinic and see how they can help.

How are you styling your hair atm?
I usually wear a hat during the day and if I go out at night, the native hair covers it decently.

Bisanga did the extractions and incisions. I'm really glad I booked the surgery over a year ago because the new pricing would have not been feasible for me.
So you had the option to choose to be done only by Dr. Bisanga? I'm asking because I'm considering too Bisanga but the coordinator told me that this is not possible. Only shared between Bisanga and Kostis.
Yes, that should be an option unless that changed. It would be more expensive than shared surgery with Dr. Kostis.

How come other results don't show the grafts being white colored like these?
I don't understand your question.

how much is it now? and how much did you pay if i may ask?
btw, looks great!
I believe the pricing for Dr B only is €5 or €6 but don't quote me on that. Shared surgery is lower. Again, not sure of pricing.
I think it also depends if it's repair or not, how complicated, etc. I would their rep, Ian who is fantastic.
I paid €4

I know who the elite doctors are but sadly I don’t have money for them. My choice is down to Turkish clinics and I have narrowed it to HLC or Fuecapillar
I haven’t seen Fuecapillar recommended a lot except on one Facebook group that also recommends many hairmills like smile, asmed etc so I don’t know what to think of that recommendation.
Please help
Not sure what you're situation is but also take a look at Dr Pekiner, he seems to do well with lower NWs

Cool, thx for the info. I am strongly considering Bisanga.
Edit: Forgot to ask, did Bisanga do the extractions or was that in combination with Koctis?
Bisanga did the extractions and incisions. I'm really glad I booked the surgery over a year ago because the new pricing would have not been feasible for me.

Hi guys,
A couple of weeks shy of a year from my transplant with Dr. B
I am very happy with the results.
There are a couple of weak spots like the right side but the way I comb my hair masks it well.
I was fortunate to start from a very good place and my wife was always telling me that I dont need a hair transplant. Now, a year later she said to me "wow, I didnt really realize or notice your hairline until I see the results now"
I can't agree more with her as it really frames my face well and I've gotten so many compliments from others on how full my hair looks.
Here are some photos after a haircut. Dry with no product and with some hair paste.
