  1. Hi guys, A couple of weeks shy of a year from my transplant with Dr. B I am very happy with the results. There are a couple of weak spots like the right side but the way I comb my hair masks it well. I was fortunate to start from a very good place and my wife was always telling me that I dont need a hair transplant. Now, a year later she said to me "wow, I didnt really realize or notice your hairline until I see the results now" I can't agree more with her as it really frames my face well and I've gotten so many compliments from others on how full my hair looks. Here are some photos after a haircut. Dry with no product and with some hair paste.
  2. no, nothing to customs. All I did was forward the note to my patient advisor and that's it, it was never mentioned again.
  3. amazing what he did with just 2000 grafts.. congratulations!
  4. thanks, I attribute a lot of that to the meds..they really helped thicken things up. I hope you are right about the homerun, crossing my fingers!
  5. 4 month (120 days) update. Photos taken with dry hair in direct sunlight, dry hair in the shade, and wettish hair in direct sunlight after a run. I'd say things are starting to happen and the outline of the hairline is way more visible. Looking forward to any thoughts and comments.
  6. Yes, all ok so far. Will post photos on Wednesday to show progress at 4 months.
  7. Hitting the 4 month mark on Wednesday and will post pics.
  8. 5mg, no side effects other than darker and thicker hair
  9. Two days away from entering my 3rd month. Nothing happening just yet but hopeful growth kicks in the next few months. Photos taken in the bathroom after wearing a hat all day so the hair is pulled back and shows the transplanted area easier.
  10. No idea. I was actually convinced that I had more of an oval shape face but Dr Bisanga assured me that I didn't.
  11. Thanks, I hope you are right! I really wanted to do the surgery in Athens but according his patient advisor, Dr Bisanga is no longer doing surgeries in Athens.
  12. This is a sample letter of what you need: Dear Dr ___________ RE: Patient Name, Address I would be grateful if you could provide an assessment with a view to surgery for the aforementioned patient. He is (age) and has been suffering with androgenic alopecia since (date). He has been using the following medication for the treatment of this:- (Medication) since.... Hair loss has impacted the patient emotionally and has caused anxiety, lack of confidence etc ...(put conditions that affect your well-being). Both I and the patient believe that a hair transplant could alleviate this issue and improve his well-being both socially and professionally. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information. Kind regards Signed and stamped and on letter headed paper.
  13. All you need is a doctors note stating that you have experienced negative psychological and/or physical issues related to hairloss. Give that to the clinic and there is nothing else to do, at least with Dr Bisanga. You don't need to pay and then get a refund.
  14. If you get a note from a dr you can have it waived. I did it for my procedure with Dr Bisanga earlier this year. I would contact the clinic and see how they can help.
  15. I usually wear a hat during the day and if I go out at night, the native hair covers it decently.
  16. Yes, that should be an option unless that changed. It would be more expensive than shared surgery with Dr. Kostis.
  17. 6 weeks post op I didn't shed all of the transplanted hairs (which seemed promising) but according to my patient advisor it doesn't really mean anything.
  18. I believe the pricing for Dr B only is €5 or €6 but don't quote me on that. Shared surgery is lower. Again, not sure of pricing. I think it also depends if it's repair or not, how complicated, etc. I would their rep, Ian who is fantastic. I paid €4
  19. Not sure what you're situation is but also take a look at Dr Pekiner, he seems to do well with lower NWs
  20. Bisanga did the extractions and incisions. I'm really glad I booked the surgery over a year ago because the new pricing would have not been feasible for me.
  21. Pretty much, yeah! Not sure how many CM..my guess is 1
