Many grapple with the challenge of learning and personal growth, often hindered by a stubbornness that is all too human. Yet the initial step towards mastery is acknowledging that there are individuals who have walked the path before us, those who have attained an enviable expertise from which we can learn and grow. However, it's essential to understand that experience isn't solely a function of time spent. More years in a profession does not necessarily equate to superior results. True expertise stems from the quality of experience gained, the wealth of knowledge acquired, and the ability to continually refine one's skills. It's about pursuing a constant, unyielding quest for excellence.

On a serious note i will recommend you to others if the results are kept this good or atleast matches the base standard results that i have in my mind from a HT

    haha true

yes will check them out for sure..

A bad outcome is almost impossible if strict quality control is ensured, as I do.

  3. From Young Bruce Willis to Bruce Wayne

Young patient, needed a conservative hairline approach to get his life back on track. Results speak for themselves.

Using as few grafts as possible is important for satisfaction in the long run. There should always be a contingency plan for worst-case scenarios.

Pictures are taken 1 year post surgery. I combed it open in all possible ways to show the density.

Please take note of the quality of the pictures. In my opinion, every surgeon should post pictures of this high caliber so that the patient can clearly see what they are getting into. As a patient, do not settle until you have seen good quality pictures of the  results.

A total of 2540 grafts were used during a one day FUE surgery. The surgery started at 08.00 and finished at 15.30

I am responsible for performing the entire surgery myself, which includes shaving, punching, extracting, making sites, and placing the grafts. My assistant helps me by sorting the grafts and providing support during the placement process.

In addition, all communication with my clinic is handled directly by me. I personally answer all emails. For the aftercare, patients have direct contact with me through WhatsApp.

@DrMunibAhmad thanks for clearing it all up. I liked it that you addressed all my points with lot more additional data too which i was actually going to ask first (progress pics) but didnt as already i asked 3 questions. But glad you addressed it too.

I checked every pic and its a great result.

I hope you don't take it in a wrong way that i pointed out any mistake but i try to ask these questions so that i can be more informed about case about which i will comment and also to gather info. As it helps in giving informed advice to others when recommending surgeons.

because if i just google data and provide them info then even they can do it. Getting info out of actual patient threads from patient/clinic is more beneficial.

None taken ❤️. Moreover, every client should be questioning docs in this field because it's the docs who made this hair transplant industry a mess, not the patients.

It was merely noticeable because it's the first patient I posted with a buzzed head in the before. All my other before pics are with longer hair, and I have also posted some post-op pics here and there. Furthermore, this forum and the Dutch forum are full of real patient stories where you can see the post-op, placement, and progress pics posted by my patients. I would say, have a look

Disclaimer: You'll end up recommending me to many others, and I already have a long waiting list with higher than average prices (don't take this too seriously because of not using emojis).

Nonetheless, I won't make it a habit to post post-op pics and all the progress pics since it takes up too much time. If real patients who have already booked with me want to see them, I can hand them over my phone, and they can scroll through my WhatsApp. 90% of my patients have early growth with a full head of hair around 4.5 months. But I don't want them to start assuming this as an anomaly.

I'll quote another forum member about this:

“I guess it is what happens when you have nothing to hide...every detail adds to the goodness.”

    Kind regards,

    Dr. Ahmad.

I think the result is amazing yes and the number of photos and detailed images fuegenix take of recipient area should be the standard.

But, except the quality and quantity of images there are 3 things which got missed and i hope they are addressed in future (just a request) :

    1) there is no post-op images which shows where the grafts were put and also of donor area.

    2) there is no image which shows patient with more hair length in pre-op. trimmed hair in pre-op to full length hair after 1 year post-op makes a massive difference when trying to visualize the difference . ( he had shaved head during pre-surgery consultation but when he would have sent pics to clinic to get consultation those can be used here, except if he always kept shaved look then this point in this case is invalid). note: One of the result of dr de freitas got bashed on reddit hard when the post had trimmed hair in pre-surgery. But i didnt see anyone commenting on that part here.

    3) no mention of whether the patient was already on meds or did he start meds after surgery. if he wasn't on them then shouldn't he have been asked to use meds for a year and denied surgery without it as he will lose miniaturized hairs to shock loss. and if still he was allowed to not take meds pre-surgery and he started meds after then it means some of the result is due to meds as he was just norwood 3 so dropping a grade/ half a grade with meds was very much possible.

I am not taking anything away from surgeon for achieving the amazing result as they have new look to a balding guy and made him happy , but trying to put more light on standardizing the info provided by the thread creator when its a clinic/surgeon as other HT seekers especially new ones get all info. 🙂

    Hi Duckling,

    1. As per your request.

    F4B2598B-3950-449A-8F12-FD167B70F84A.thumb.jpeg.58816beefc3d455a38227578b824a5b1.jpeg187C3885-D972-40C8-AFCF-285BE3D61431.thumb.jpeg.a7da76f4c9c9c93609345e125417f464.jpegB068305B-2381-4DBC-9B2C-1936DF08671D.thumb.jpeg.1f74260d5b59342e6d89b6db51220ceb.jpeg

    2. I've never seen the patient with longer hair, not even in the pictures where I made the first assessment. Performing surgery on a head that has only been seen buzzed makes the case even more challenging.

However, I have obtained a few pictures from the patient via WhatsApp, as per your request.

And to make it transparent a screenshot of the conversation with the patient (after i saw your comment) where he says that he doesn’t have more.

    3. The patient has only been using topical minoxidil 5% since the surgery. In my opinion, denying surgery and relying solely on medication for the first year is not a universally optimal approach for every patient. Medical treatment should be tailored to each individual case.

  6. From a hooligan to Elvis Presley (well, at least one with a conservative hairline)

I remember when this patient walked in for a consultation. He had shaved his head, but wasn't happy with the look. It looked way too aggressive for him. He asked me if it was possible to get a hair transplant with zero signs of having had one. I nodded and told him he didn't have to worry. Now, one year later, he's a walking masterpiece.

Using as few grafts as possible is important for satisfaction in the long run. There should always be a contingency plan for worst-case scenarios.

i have that too, what exactly makes this more challenging?

Because of this there is more see through on the scalp. If the hairs fall flat on the back of the head, there is almost noo see through. This is also like this with asian hair.

    Hope that clarifies it.

  8. The more we, as hair surgeons, focus on achieving good results, the less attention is diverted from the donor area. This is an equally important factor in ensuring patient satisfaction.

I have made a video showcasing the donor area of a patient after 2530 grafts. It’s important to note that this type of hair/scalp is particularly challenging when it comes to visible scarring due to the following factors:

    • There is a high contrast between the patient’s black hair and white skin.
    • The hair is thin.
    • The donor hairs have a spiky appearance, pointing more outward instead of lying flat against the back of the head.
    • The patient has a fade haircut.

Please take these factors into consideration when evaluating the video. If you observe closely, you will notice the small scars that typically appear after surgery.

In your view is it ever appropriate to extract hair from such naevi or are they best left alone? What is your reasoning behind this?

Although in some cases it can be safe, i leave them alone. There is no need to rob a bank with the risks involved, if someone else is giving away free money next to the bank. 😁
