  1. Came across a clinic on another ht website that claims it doesnt post any before/after images because doing so violates turkish law which I called it out on. Of course this is bullshit in disguise which prompted me to warn you guys in case any of you decide to risk your money and health to it. The clinic is headed by Dr. Keser based in turkey. Heres the url:

  2. Hey guys. As someone curious about celeb hair transplants, I want to know what doc do you think Elon Mush got his transplant from? Few sources say Turkey but I hugely doubt that a man of his high caliber of intelligence and research prowess would be dumb enough to even consider that nation as a viable option. Let me know what doc you guys think he got it from!

That was the previous moderator who no longer works here. That moderator spent 2 weeks in private chat blaming me and using any excuse they could trying to defend a doctor who did some really unethical stuff against me. Things have changed.

No, thats not it! The mod that has booted and harshly criticized those users voicing their honesty I still see on here.

Nonetheless I greatly appreciate your time and help.

They are cherry picked by to show off a surgeons talents but they might not be representative of their wider work.

But isnt that what all ht clinics do anyway?

If picking these docs is solely based on JT's recommendation that might be a problem as well as he gets paid to promote them, and while JT does promote some good docs he doesnt bother investigating them properly (and in the case of Baubac hasn't even met him). This is like deciding to marry a girl whose picture youve only ever seen from tinder, and given hair transplants are for life it maybe requires a little dating first before deciding to go down to the jewellery store and get that engagement ring.

Makes perfect sense. Couldnt have put it better myself. Looks like I'll have to dig deeper into the forum to research more clinics, docs and patient experiences before convincingly pointing my index finger at a ht doc before sealing the deal.

Thanks for the well informed info !

Appreciate this. But wasn't the lawsuit targeted at the late dr. Armani and not Dr Baubac? At least that's the impression I get from the info, I could be wrong though.

Not to defend the armani clinic since I'm talking from the sidelines here, but I have come across on this forum mods who have booted out users simply for voicing their honest opinions of clinics/docs which to me and most of the world I find hypocritical as a 1st amendment defender the forum claims in the link to uphold.

My honest 2 cents, take it for what its worth.

I reached out to Dr. Cuoto via email a few days ago and got this reply:

Unfortunately, due to this whole COVID situation, we are long overdue and have decided to close all kinds of inquiries until we can catch up.
    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Even prior to that people said his wait time for a consultation was months away and he was booked for years in advance for surgeries.

YOUVE GOT TO BE KIDDING DUDE!!!! WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There goes my future goals. Thank you covid, really appreciate the shit world you created for everyone.

Couto has a very long waiting list and seems selective of the patients he takes on. Not many patient verified result available here so you might have to check out the Spanish forums instead. @mustangwent to him and another patient recently started a thread about him though.

Baubac makes his patients sign NDA's before surgery and has been recycling the same clinic postings for years, so the only way you'll see any patient results is if you talk to guys behind the scenes (*cough cough red flag*). JT recommends him but apparently has never met him in person/only did a phone interview. I did a consult with his rep and they kept trying to tell me I should lower my hairline to look like Brad Pitt when I just wanted a simple hairline repair. Sigh. I believe Alvi Armani tried to sue this website as well. Short answer - AVOID.

    Never heard of Yaker sadly.

Any reason why youre only focused on these 3 docs?

    Hey hello,

Appreciate your insights into these docs.

However I'm at a loss to understand your question as to why I'm focused on these docs. I believe their results answers it.

Seems as though people here dont like Baubac for whatever reason. Very strange.

I saw a vid by joe tilman expounding upon the work of doc Yaker. Seems capable but want to make sure hes a good match for me since I havent read any info about him here.

There's too many variables to say this IMO. All that matters is if the patient is happy at the end of the day.

    Yes thats true.

Unfortunately we will never know. This is because of two reasons mainly. Firstly many people who feel that they have had a failed hair transplant never go public and will hide it as much as is possible. This was me after my first two botched procedures for many years. Secondly, many people feel that they have a 'botched' procedure when to others it looks perfectly natural. It's such a subjective perception to the individual.

Very good answer! That does seem likely the issue here in addition to the successful hts that are not published which may undercut the number of successes.

Even if you could get an overall average it doesn't really do any good. All of the cheap, bad clinics will be pulling the average down. If next year a lot more people go to cheap clinics then the average will drop. Does that mean the higher quality clinics are doing a bad job? No. Of course not. The best ones may have actually improved, but you won't know it by looking at the lower overall average. The American major league baseball batting average for 2019 was 248, but there are going to be some under 200 hitters and a few 300 hitters. You want to sign the 300 hitters to your team.

The better thing to do is try to compare the successful percentage of transplants of one clinic vs another clinic. Then you'll start seeing who is good and who isn't.

Excellent response. Never had taken into consideration that the poor quality clinics may dilute the average of successful hts.

I'm actually strongly considering Couto, Baubac, H&W and Freitas as prime candidates. I'm just a bit scared because I dont want to end up with a botched ht. But after reading your analogy of baseball batting average where getting only the best hitters with a 300 batting average is the best way to go I think my aforementioned choices are comparable to those heavy hitters.

  9. Hello everyone. This is a subjective question with no precise figure but I'd like to get a ballpark figure as an answer. What do you guys feel is the percentage of successful ht results? By successful I mean a result that isnt a failure and that looks good to the eye. Again, I know the answer isnt accurate but I'd like to base it on your years of observations from what youve seen online or personal experiences.

I've never been on the Spanish forums so I'm sure you're right! Nonetheless, it doesn't change the premise of the post. He handpicks patients with favorable donor characteristics. Nothing wrong with that at all. It just needs to be considered that his results show great coverage and density with thick donor hair.

Hi there. Other than his price and long waiting list, the thing that bothers the living excrement out of me is he hand picks patients which is not fair. That sounds too results-oriented which unfortunately in this case favors the reputation of the doctor at the expense of the satisfaction of the patients.

Although I'm gravitated towards him I'm a bit scared about seeing him since he lacks patient reviews.

Hasson and Wong have been putting out consistent results for many years. Raymond Konior from Chicago Hair Institute is probably one of the most consistent surgeons in the world. You wouldn't go wrong choosing either clinic. Dr Couto in Spain seems to do really good work as well but it might be riskier as there aren't many patient posted results to gather information from. All of his clinic posted results are stellar but most are Spaniards with thick coarse wavy donor hair. Search the forum for a true representation for what these surgeons can do.

I need to correct you. Based on what theyre saying on the Spaniard forums couto's main clients are middle easterners and italians. Italians and middle east people have the thickest, coarsest waviest and curliest hair.

It should be ranked based on difficulty of case. Doing NW3 to NW0 is different from handling NW7.

Appreciate the reply. Hair thickness based on results seems to be the overwhelming factor of success given the same doctor operating on patients with diverse hair types as its apparent that doctors like couto count on thickness as their main driver of desired outcomes.

  13. Forgot to mention something. Personally I believe doctors like couto produce amazing results because of their acute selection of patients. Based on comments on the spaniard forum the bulk of couto's patients are italian, middle eastern and greek. So of course middle easterners and italians will fare well with better results since their genetics are similar and possess thick, coarse hair. Guys in france, spain, england and germany unfortunately possess thinner hairs whose results I haven't seen on couto's yt vids or website.

Cuoto has had the best results I've seen, with de Freitas not far behind.

    I agree.

For me it’s Cuoto and De Freitas, Eugenix have some amazing results as well. Zarev has a few impressive ones, but I don’t see consistency.

Yes I've noticed couto's work. But other than the problem with his cost, the problem of trying to get a consultation with him is an arduously long process. I dont have the patience to wait 6 years before I get the chance to have him evaluate me. Then another 3 years to have surgery. Thats completely insane.
