  1. I think I remember reading that a potential side effect of Adderall is hair loss. Something about it being a vasoconstrictor but you should do your own research because I'm not certain.
  2. I started weight training after 2 weeks and swimming at 4 weeks without issues after 2 separate FUT surgeries.
  3. I've had 2 FUT procedures performed (latest one was 1/24/22). I started working again immediately the day after but I work virtually and without a camera. It's really important that you sleep sitting up the first 3 nights so that your face doesn't swell up as much. The swelling is probably going to be the biggest risk to looking ridiculous on camera. The second camera risk is the scabbing which should only be noticeable in the hairline and might be concealable if you keep your hair long. The scabbing should mostly be gone by day 8 with proper post-op care. I'd suggest staying off camera for at least 5-7 days if you don't want people to notice anything and taking it easy for at least 4 days post-op. Can you get away wearing a hat or maybe come up with a white lie for why you'd like to be off-camera for a couple of weeks? Maybe it's "broken" or tell your boss that you had a medical procedure done and that you'd like to stay off camera for 2 weeks while recovering.
  4. You have a strong donor zone but to be a good candidate you need to stabilize your hair loss with Finasteride and stay committed to taking it. Also plan on 2-3 transplants and a conservative hairline since it appears you are on your way to NW6.
  5. I applied silicone gel to my FUT scar for the first 3 months morning and night. I also microneedled it once per month after 5 weeks for 4 months. Kind of pain because I had to keep my hair buzzed with a #1 guard the whole time but I was wearing a hat while my hair was growing in anyways. I can't say if it made any difference, but there are a lot of studies demonstrating a positive impact on wound healing from silicone/microneedling and I ended up with a pretty good scar.
  6. Poor word choice on my part. I was referring to the back left area that doesn't appear to have been blended into the non-miniaturized hair and not the frontal hairline.
  7. He would check in every hour or so but otherwise wasn't in the room. I know it's early and I'm trying to be reasonable which is why I'm not naming names or anything. It's just a little frustrating when I compare my post op photo to others posted, because it feels like an obvious oversight on something that was quite an undertaking on my end.
  8. Perhaps, but the photo-right grafts were transplanted by an older technician and the left by someone much younger that seemed to be grumbling a bit like something wasn't going well, so I'm afraid I was the victim of inexperience.
  9. It's still growing in, but the photo-right side looks a lot fuller. The left side looks a little sparse and patchy, pretty similar to the photo. The office is supposed to schedule a 6 month follow up which should happen soon, so I plan to bring it up. I just wanted to get an idea of how .. angry I should be for lack of a better word since most post-op photos that I see posted look to be pretty symmetrical and without gaps between the native hair.
  10. I had a transplant back in January and I'm feeling a little anxious about the way my grafts were laid out. You can see in the photo (taken 1 week post op) that the right side was built up into the healthy hair, but there is a bit of a gap on the left side and the grafts don't go as far back. I'm just curious if people think this is something I should complain to the doctor about or if it's fairly common and addressed in follow on procedures?
  11. I also have a mild case of CVG and decided to get a FUT procedure to cover some of the furrows and remove some of the extra skin on scalp at the start of this year. Does anyone with experience on the matter think a doctor would sign a medical necessity form so that a hair transplant could be paid through an HSA?
