  1. Hi, here's my issue, i'm 21 and my hair has started to bald in both the front and back its beginning to thin out -- i know transplants are not a great idea at this age as i have no idea how far the balding will go so i'm planning on waiting a few years -- a question i have though is that if i do end up getting a transplant later on will i need to take propecia to keep the transplanted hair? i don't want to take any drugs whatsoever. thanks for reading, mrg
  2. Maxxy that topic is informative, but I still am unsure what's with the white pills lol.. are they legit? One other user claim to have them... everyone else seems to have the blue oval shaped ones. this is how my pills look: http://www.hairsite.com/images/hairmedics/Proscar.jpg
  3. So are the white ones still OK or are they junk? I've just got my prescription from a Canadian Pharmacy and I got these circle white ones... WHat gives here?
  4. I got mine from my pharmacist today and they appear circular and white but I'm looking online at the pills and they appear to be blue and not completely circular... is there any chance I got scammed by a Canadian pharmacist into giving me sugar pills or something? Sorry if I'm being paranoid, just wanted to know how they're suppose to look.
  5. Hi, I was reading and doing research and found that... Regrowth: Do you prescribe Proscar to your patients who want to get on Finasteride but want to save money by quartering Propecia pills? Dr. Ziering: No, for two reasons: without the protective coating there is the risk of transcutaneous absorption and secondly when the pill is formulated the active ingredient is not evenly distributed throughout the pill. Dividing the pill in quarters does not mean proper dosing. For example, it is possible to be getting 4mg on day 1, 0 on day2 & 3 and then 1mg on day 4. is this true info? source: http://www.regrowth.com/hairlo...iering_interview.cfm
  6. Hi All, Thanks a lot for your advice / replies. It is always useful looking at things through different prespectitives. A further question: the doctor suggested I cut the proscar tablets into 4... so this would be 1.25mg per tablet, any idea why he'd suggest this or if this will even work since its more then the required dose? Thanks again.
  7. Hi, I'm a 20 year old male who has MPB, not significant, but it is beginning. I'm fine with this. I went to the doctor he proscribed propercia / federsine... however I am reluctant to take it and am thinking that I will save myself money by allowing myself to bald and say about 10-15 years down the road get a hair transplant to rectify this issue. However I'm not sure if this is a wise way to approach this? Would using the pills allow me a better "successful" transplant later on down the road? What are your suggestions?
