  1. I had about 2500 grafts. So I think the density should be pretty good because its not such a big area. At least I hope so. Well I think there is of course a risk to have future hair loss. But like I said in my family all males have a high hairline and temples, but nobody is bald even my grandpa. So I think and hope I will never be really bald. I will make updates from time to time so that you guys can see the growing.
  2. Here are the promised pictures. I hope you guys like it like I do: Before HT: After HT: Well, to the security question. Actually I feel really safe here, but its also because I dont make any big tours. Pakistan can be a dangerous place, but if you careful and dont prvoke anything then you really dont have to worry. And the offered hotel is also surrounded by a big wall and protected by weaponed security. Anyway, as a western the people will look at you at every corner
  3. Hello hair loss community, I would like to give you my experience with Dr. Humayam from Islamabad. Well, I'am a 22 year old from Germany. Many of you might think now: "Why is he doing a HT with 22"? In my case it is more that I'm not really bald, but I have/had a high hair line and some big temples like all the males in my family. Anyway, I was reading a lot in this forum and tried to figure out the right doctor for me. I finally came to the conclusion to choose Dr. Humayun for me. I just read good things about him and his pictures also conviced me also like the price per graft (especially for me as a student) did. So I made pictures of myself and send them to his email. I really got an answer to all of my question. Mostly thru his consultant Shahid who is a really nice and competent guy by the way. Of course I was also a little bit afraid to travel to Pakistan...but yet...after one day of procedure and being here for 3 days I feel really safe. The accomodation the doctor and his team is offering is really nice and just 5 minutes away from the clinic. And everytime you need to go to the clinic somebody is picking you up by car (you also have a pick up from the airport). I even forgot to bring my camera and so one guy of the management drove with me to a few stores to get a new one. Okay, but back to the HT. After arriving in Islamabad I met the Dr. on the same day. He is a really nice guy. So he looked at me and told me that I would need about 2500 grafts to lower my hairline and to fill the temples and also having a good density. That was fine for me because for me it was really important to get a good density. So, we made an procedure appointment for the next day. Shahid picked me up from the hotel and drove with me to the clinic on the procedure day. In his office he asked me some medical question like old surgeries etc. Then another guy came and took blood from me to get it tested of any diseases. Right after this Shahid took me to the procedure room where the nurses and the doctor were already waiting. After introducing to everybody the doctor painted the new hairline on my head. I was so excited and couldnt wait to begin...and I actually cant wait until it starts to grow now Anyway, I got a few shots in the donor area then. The first ones where pretty painful but after a while the area is numb anyway. The doctor then took out the strip and did the stiches. I didnt have any pain. So dont be afraid of that. After that I got shots in the transplanted area...first ones were pretty painful again, but okay. And then the whole holes were taking by Dr. Humayun. You have to know I have a lot of whirls, but he realized that and made the holes not only straight in the skin but like the way my natural hair is growing. That was by the way also one point why I choosed Dr. Humayun because I read he is famous for extremly natural hairlines. During the whole procedure I felt in really good hands. The nurses asking me again and again if I were okay or if I would like to eat/drink something. They also told me that they are doing HT for plenty of years now. I believe on of them for 20 and the other one for 7 years. So finally the whole procedure took about 6 or 7 hours and at the end I was soooo glad that it was done. It isnt that easy to lie down calm for that long time. Now, at the first post op day I still have some little pain and pressure at the donor area, but when I look in the mirror I know for what I did that. Until yet I'm really satisfied and can just give Dr. Humayun 10 of 10 possible points. He and his whole staff seemed really professional and I always had the feeling they REALLY know what they are doing. I will try to upload some pictures in the next days. If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Phil
