  1. Thank you@Melvin- Moderator

The before pics are all taken in December of 2020. They were not great in terms of lighting/angle/hair was done etc. so I tried to duplicate tonight with the new pics. I’ve since taken better pics but wanted to stay consistent for the post.

My hair is longer now on top and the side now, but it’s clear the difference.

  2. Hi everyone,

I added .5mg of Oral Dut to my regimen 6+ months ago. I take Dut Sunday and Wednesday and 1mg fin on the other days. This is alongside topical minox.

My hairline has gotten worse during this period at a more aggressive pace than it was before. I have concerns that I may be sensitive to T. I was shedding like crazy for a time but that has slowed which is a positive.

I understand that shedding is part of the process and six months may be too early to abandon ship on oral dut. I just don’t see how the hair loss during this time on my hairline comes back stronger.

Appreciate any insight you guys may have. Whether to wait longer or other options. Let me know if you need more info.

If you don't go too low with the hairline then you may be able to hide the work with your existing hair if you're willing to comb it forward or possibly a side part with sort of sweeping forward style. It certainly looks like you have enough hair to pull these off. The trick is to change your hair style before the transplant, so nobody will really think you are trying to hide something once you actually get the transplant.

Thanks for the response. I think that would do the trick

I would guess that conservative would really stick to your temples and leave your center alone.

    1.  Someone once told me a HT is a lifetime commitment, as you can never really undo it and go for the shaved look.  Thankfully if you do have continued recession, you'll notice it well before it's noticeable to others and with plenty of time to schedule a "touch-up" procedure.
    2.  Your hair appears really thick and has some length, you can probably pull off a more forward or down hairstyle that hides it during your recovery.  I would suggest maybe getting one of those stretchy fabric hair bands ladies wear to the gym, and covering the first half inch to inch or so of your hair line it and shaping it to where you'd want your hairline to be.  Then see how well you can cover that up with existing hair for your recovery.

I went to Chicago for Konior, you'll love their office and staff if you go for Nadimi I would expect that to be same.  I think your biggest decision is really "is it time yet", but I totally understand as I read long ago to wait until thirty so things were more stable, and started saving up for it at 24, and had it at 31.

Thanks for your response. I really appreciate it.

1.) I realize it would be a lifetime commitment and I’d much prefer a second HT than shaving. Just worried about the time between noticing the further recession and getting a 2nd.

    2.  That was about my expectation as well in terms of cover up. Fortunate to have thick hair just not the fortunate to avoid recession.

unfortunately, I’ve recently began noticing a lower libido since having Covid and I may get off fin to see if that helps. I think that may push out my plans.

How much lower are you trying to lower your hairline? Personally, I think your hair looks fine.

Honestly not much since I’ve had a relatively high hairline. I’d like to fill out the temples.

after checking my hims account, I’ve been on fin 3 years. After having Covid in November I’m noticing a decrease in libido so I may look for an alternative, possibly topical dut but I’d have to see how I react before making the HT decision

Man, many of us would kill to have that kind of hair you have... however, could you share some donor area photos?
Also, the photos are indoor and a bit dark, any chance you could share outdoor photos?

Totally understand I’m in a better spot than some, still rough watching it change pretty significantly from what I had before.

lighting makes a huge a difference, used my bathroom this time and donor

  7. Hello,

I’m 30 years old and have been on Fin and Minox for two years. However, Minox use has been inconsistent.

Hairline has continued to creep back, although slowly and after a recent bout with Covid, I had a lot of shed but that has subsided. The hair loss is mostly to the front and temple area.

I’m looking for a conservative HT, that moves the HL up slightly and fills temples. Dr. Nadimi said about 1500 grafts is what I would require. Although I still need to have my consolation.

Based on that info, do you believe me to be a good candidate?

my two main concerns are 1.) my hairline continues to recede and I’m stuck with a hairline with no native behind it requiring another surgery. It’s not so much the requirement of another surgery but how it looks in between the two. 2. Living day to day life the 8-12 months it grows out. Steps I could take to hide the HT even though it’s on the hairline?

Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated. CF3DDA7A-B336-4B57-AEA0-9D39338CCC76.thumb.jpeg.74fbd3fd529cd498a92330eb1ff56ccb.jpegCE4A123D-4C94-48E0-8138-F4D51652B146.thumb.jpeg.3b2f55ecb1ce9874cd17cab6716cd9bb.jpeg6BC8C66B-6443-4939-9268-34BF472ABCAE.thumb.jpeg.b46e5af78ee459704304bfee0e3e93bb.jpeg
