  1. An update, it’s been three months and a half. There is some progress, no major issues here, just had a skin fade hair cut and was worried it would be noticeable, my barber didn’t know I had a hair transplant and didn’t notice it only after I told him of course, the hair texture what he noticed more than anything else. Overall I can’t judge yet; however, my hair line and lots of little thin hair coming out after month three are promising and it is exiting to already see some noticeable difference, maybe still not very noticeable for everyone but for sure it is to me. I can’t wait for month 5 and 6 post surgery, and for sure will post the updates. Numbness is still there but fading away. I have used Minoxidil for about a month “ the foam from Costco” but I developed a reaction to it, my eye lids and eye circules got pretty bad, I know it works for me because i used it on my beard and it filled in some empty small spots, but too bad I can’t use it. I am on biotin and a multivitamin from Turkey, so far so good, and not prp or anything else.
  2. It’s been a little over a month, no major changes here. Everything seems to be healing normally. My donor area is almost fully healed, I didn’t get to experience any pimples, not so far, few times it gets itchy but that is it. I have been using the Aloe Vera gel for both donor and recipient areas, it is really great, it moisturizes and soothes really well, I think it helps the healing process overall; so, I would recommend using that, of course ask your doctor first as I did and it wasn’t a problem. Recipient area is healing well, redness is almost gone, although still there, I have been extra careful with the sun and will for the next few months. The skin texture looks different and a bit weird I got few pimples but no major issues, I hope there will be improvement there. Also, it is still mostly numb, although 10 days ago I have started working out, light cardio, I have noticed that numbness has gotten better, not sure if by improving the blood flow has helped or not, but it does seem like it is getting better and the feeling started coming back from outside in. One thing I have noticed and I am not sure if others have experienced the same, so far I haven’t had any sweat from the recipient area. I run on the treadmill and sweat from my forehead all along the hairline but not from the recipient area. I am assuming at some point things will get back to normal. I have no pain. The Strong pain I had in the donor area is completely gone. I would say after the second week things had improved a lot. Hair started shedding starting around day 12. I think at least 50% of the transplanted hair has fallen so far. I know all has to fall off, so. I am not worried. It seems like the directions of the new hair is sticking up and not necessarily in the same direction of native hair, but I am hoping it won’t be noticeable. Also I have noticed two spots where I have a bunch of hairs together and it looks funky, like a doll hair, I am hoping it won’t be noticeable either, it is at least one inch behind the hair line. I already noticed that I have to trim the bottom hair line at the donor area, because there was no hair extracted it was noticeable if I didn’t trim it, but it is really an easy fix, keep the lower 2 inches lower the donor are where they extracted the hair and it is not noticeable at all. I am not sure if things will change after the 6 months mark for the donor area, I doubt it. Here are few pictures under harsh lighting..
  3. That is the idea. Now Jan 2021 new year’s resolution starts. LOL
  4. I have been debating to be honest, rogaine vs finasteride. Thanks for the advice.
  5. Here is my experience, not going into much details, just the most important things to mention. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH, CHOOSE THE DR/CLINIC THAT YOU ARE MOST COMFORTABLE WITH, there is a risk to everything we do in life, and this is just another one. This is my own personal experience (not a review of the clinic), I have appreciated others posting their own personal experiences, it helped a lot when researching, so here is to paying it forward and help others. I had a pleasant experience at Dr. Yaman’s clinic. I went for the doctor not the clinic. Shout out to Fikret, he was very helpful and made it happen with a short notice. Expect dizziness might happen to you while in surgery, but don’t panic, it is a clinic and they will have the proper care in case you need it. Unlike some other clinics. Do your research and make your own decision. Be prepared for a long day, I arrived at the clinic around 9:30 am, done by 9 pm, almost 12 hours. One thing is interesting about Dr Yaman if you have done your research, he does the incisions first, it is a very important step, as the next step is extracting the grafts. This important step reduces the wait time between extracting the grafts and planting them. Watch out for your head after surgery, I was advised to do so, yet I bumped my head in the shuttle, luckily it was the crown area and lost few precious grafts and bled a bit, it was at the moment we arrived at the clinic for the first wash. If you are traveling from the America’s or any place too far, I would advise to stay at least 3 days in Istanbul after surgery, I traveled the very next day after the hair wash and man did I regret it. Istanbul is relatively cheap, and few extra nights at the hotel won’t break the bank, this way you will have an even better experience. Do sleep at 45 degrees, it helped push the swelling to the back of the head instead of going down to your eyes and cheeks. Minimize tilting your head forward for the first 3 days. The headband won’t do anything more than help you limit the face swelling, but the liquids injected during the procedure has to go down somehow and get flushed through your system. So to reduce swelling of the face follow the steps I mentioned. I had 4380 grafts: -singles 625 -doubles 2772 -multiple 983 Medication: Biotin and saw palmetto multivitamin complex I might use rogain, haven’t decided yet. It is is to be used after 3rd week. I am on day 9, it seems my experience is a bit different than most people, I have a high pain tolerance in general, the pre surgery injections were not a problem, I didn’t struggle at all. But starting day 5 I felt the upper side areas of the back (donor area) are hurting a bit, as numbness started going away and day by day, it seems though the pain is getting worse especially on the right side. I mean I am struggling with finding a comfortable spot to sleep. My skin is super dry too, I ordered Aloe Vera gel and doing some massaging and icing and hoping it will help. The left side seems to do better. the pain is tolerable but I am not getting enough sleep because of it. Anyways, pictures here, I will update monthly after that.
  6. Thanks for sharing your experience, your hair looks amazing. I am going for my hair transplant surgery in few days, I will share my experience here as well to help others, it is the real and genuine experiences that make a difference, not the fake reviews. I sure hope I get a similar experience to yours. One major difference is I started using Biotin 10 mg and saw palmetto 320 gm. I sure will try to do some PRP along the way, I would have to get that cleared out once I meet with the doctor. Oh I didn’t say it yet, I am going with doctor Yaman as well. Wish me luck
