  1. Hey guys.  I’m at a bit of a weird stage in my HT journey.

i honestly feel like I preferred my look at 7 months to now (almost 12 months).  I think that’s maybe due to the fact that I’ve gone from a terrible hairline, to an improved one but then ‘demand’ more.  I have to look back on old photos to fully appreciate the transformation but it’s still strange.

I was wearing my hair ‘up’ and over to the side like a parting but whenever I go anywhere with intense lighting (eg in a changing room in clothes shop) it looks like I have 20% hair and I’m aLmost bald.  I don’t think it’s helped by my hair being extremely ‘fine’ anyway (barbers have always commented on that) and maybe I need either more transplanted hair, or the micro tattoo things to imitate dark hair roots.

ive started to wear my hair forward with a fringe, as harsh lighting does not affect that style and it looks ‘full’.

    anyone else get like this??

    Clearly a tremendous improvement.

That said, “before” photo is in harsh, bright lighting with the hair soaking wet amd brushed straight back.

”After” is in flattering lighting, dry and styled.

Would be super helpful to see an after shot with the hair wet, brushed back and in bright lighting. Just in terms of really getting a feel for before/after.

Don’t get me wrong. Not trying to be accusatory, if that’s how it sounded. Agree that the wet hair, combed back is a super honest illustration of the true state of things, both before and after. Si is a top down shot.

No not at all.  Just asking valid questions.  I guess this is the problem with photos on forums.  You’re only ever going to see ‘real results’ when you meet someone in person (before and after).  I get that ‘harsh lightning’ is the best way to see results, but at the same time we don’t walk around in harsh lightning all the time.  So it’s both a true reflection of results at the same time as being a poor reflection of how we would look in real life.

ill try and remember to take that pic tomorrow 👍🏻

My previous haircut was a ‘cover up’ so it was difficult to see the extent of hair loss the way it was styled.  I thought the wet pics would have provided a better idea of actual hair loss areas .

I’ll take a pic with wet pulled back hair tomorrow for reference.

Out of interest, the last pic I posted was under the same harsh lighting (spotlights in a bathroom) but I take your point on not being a true comparison.

    Looks great!

Are there any professional pics that Farjo took..? Normally they document cases with the utmost transparency, so it would be cool to see super clear photos if possible...

Also, did they give you the option to bring the temples in, or was it not even suggested?

Dr Farjo did take plenty of pre-op photos and I guess he’ll be doing more when I go for final check-up.

Temples weren’t really discussed.  I was more than happy with the hairline once drawn on though.

Amazing result, buzzing for you mate, the hairline is so natural.

It was  your post that made me book with Farjo in the end, so thanks for posting. The big day next Thursday and a similar amount of grafts.

Completely empathise with the wind thing, for me it’s always the first corner I turn out of any building 😂

Enjoy the rest of the growing!

Ah you’re in good hands with Dr Farjo and his team.  You’ll spend months doubting everything, thinking that your case is the one that doesn’t work, but you have to be patient.  Easy for me to say who questioned everything 😆.  Good luck on your journey

Thanks for that! I’m really pleased with the results.  I especially like the fact that I can just smile when it’s windy, gone are the day’s of moving my whole body position to get the wind to blow my hair in the right direction (ie not letting the ‘cover up’ hair look like a wig blowing in the wind!!) 😆

  8. Just over 5 months and definitely seeing significant growth now!  A few pics in various lighting.

The pic with the flash on is probably misleading as I still have a ‘cover up’ haircut so the transplanted hair is being heavily supported by existing hair.  On the other pics I’ve tried to pull the existing hair back to show the actual transplanted hair.

I love stumbling across a thread that has about 4 months of updates by the time I see it. Lol. Lots of instant gratification for me - something you probably wish you had more of with your hair transplant, I see. ;)  Chiming in to say that you A) you seem to be right on track, B) my redness lingered in much the same way yours has been and it eventually completed went away, C) the work immediately post-op looked extremely clean/sophisticated, and D) I suspect you're about to turn a corner and start seeing some solid improvements over the next couple of months.

Hey, thanks a lot for your reply.  It’s really helpful.  You kind of try and compare your own case to others that you’ve seen but when someone is drawing a direct comparison to their own results, it’s a huge help.

Can’t wait for the next couple of months’ results !

Looks normal for the time frame, there’s a guy here who completely crapped on his surgeon and then got an insane result. Easier said than done. I’m sure I’ll be freaking out too.

Wow.  I can understand people (like myself) starting to doubt things but to blame the surgeon before waiting it out is pretty harsh.  They obviously didn’t count to 10!
