I thought Minox was supposed to work best on the crown, not so much on the hairline. It's worked well for me on the crown over the last several months.
Really? Even in case of miniaturization?
-
Many say that Minoxidil doesn't work on vertex. So the question as from title: does it make sense using it on vertex or it's only wasted product?
-
What about supplements?
-
My therapy is:
- Finasteride 1 mg in the morning;
- Industrial Minoxidil 5% 3 ml in the evening;
- Serenoa Repens 320 mg one pill every morning.
What can I add to combat the miniaturization, in particular on mid and crown? Any supplements? Drugs?
-
Today I started taking Finasteride (to be exact, Finasteride Mylan Italia 5 mg). As the dermatologist said to me years ago, I have to break the pill in 4 parts and taking one part every morning. This before I started to see a beginning of miniaturization all over my head (including vertex, in these last months) and that the situation on the temples gets any worse.
Now I ask you:
- it's risky increasing the dosage? I am scared of sides if I increase the dosage.
- if not, the benefits would be greater or nothing would change?
Thanks to everyone. I hope that the cure improve my situation, even if there are no studies that confirm with CERTAINTY that Finasteride restore the hairs (only large percentages).

RE: Lorenzo's clinic, Lorenzo does all the implanting. Techs do the extracting. Saw him this year (hence can confirm).
I have written to Lorenzo 5 days ago for a virtual consultation: no answer.

Wow, thanks for your table man 🙂
And I really don't allow myself comparing ASMED with Rahal, for both quality of work and density of regrowth (I love his hairlines), but I can't pay 10.000$.
I have to find a compromise.
Spanish surgeons are all booked for now... Therefore as I started with finasteride one week ago, the only thing that I can do is waiting for 6 months and going to Peekiner.

Turkey is the world capital of botched hair transplants
Unfortunately is the only solution between price and quality: for 2000 grafts Rahal 9000$ VS Koray 3800-4600€.

Fantastic result man. What clinic was?

Great result! Which package did you choose?
Package A : only ASMED team
Package B : ASMED team or Dr. Erdogan
Package C : only Dr. Erdogan

What are you talking about? The members on this forum are not billionaires, they simply made a good investment on n themselves by choosing the best.
Sure, but the investments are possible once they have been carried out the basic needs. And not everyone gets to reconcile these two.

My TOP 5 of 2020
I guess all of us would have a different "roster" picked as our Top 5 Doctors in 2020. I see this choice as when in football you ask someone to pick the best 11 for the National Team... uffff, so many options, so many different teams ... what´s for sure, all of us will always have at least 3 "players" that always remain on that "roster".
At this moment, by 2020, I will for sure have on my "FUE Team" the best three of the moment which in my humble opinion are:
- Dr Freitas & Dr Couto, with the most impressive results in the past 3 years.
- Hasson&Wong for always being a guarantee.
After those 3 well... we have a bunch of great ones:
- Konior
- Lorenzo
- Lupanzula
- Feriduni
- Eugenix
- Bruno Pinto
Who am I missing?Couto and Freitas are booked until 2022. H&W and Konior are for people like Trump, Bezos etc.

How much per graft he charges for that package?
2,5€. But for this price I have been recommended other surgeons (that follow the whole procedure, including extractions and placement). Please note: I am confused too about the clinic to turn to.
-
He makes only incisions and only with the most expensive package.

What does control the extractions mean?
Good question, I don't know. The estimate that I have received says only "control of extractions and microscopic evaluatio of grafts". If anybody know what is meant by control of extractions can answer me.
-
No. With plan C he only "controls" the extractions and make the incisions.
-
Plan A: only ASMED team
Plan B: ASMEd team or Koray Erdogan
Plan C: only Koray Erdogan
-
I prefer Koray, honestly. You not?
-
Spain is not available (Couto and Freitas are booked until 2021, the first, and 2022 the second). Belgium... I'm not a fan of Feriduni, I don't really like his works.
It remains for me Rahal (but for a price which is hovering around 9000€ and in this way I'd have nothing left, literally), Turkey and UK with dr. Reddy (I have seen his works, I like them... but he asks 150$ for a preliminar consultation, in addition to flying and hotel, and it doesn't include an italian translator - my english is very bad -, unlike the Turkey ).
Plus I did in the past a surgery with a turkish butcher, and I'm scared I'll make another mistake. So I'm stuck.
-
Turkey where?

About €2,500 - €7,000. Obviously it would be nice to get the best value possible. I'm looking for awesome thick results. I need 2,000 - 2,500 grafts for my hairline (mostly temporal).
Are any of those guys that I mentioned worth visiting? I'd go to Turkey at the drop of a hat but it seems to be a minefield there.
Same situation (only with a slightly higher budget).

What plan of action have you adopted? ASMED team plan A, ASMED/Koray plan B, or only Koray plan C? How is that going for you?
Does it make sense using Minoxidil on crown?

How soon after starting Dutasteride/Minoxidil did you notice additional loss?
