  1. I forgot to add that I also had to book COVID-19 PCR tests for day 2 and day 8 following my return and the reference number has to be entered on the Passenger Locator Form for my return.
  2. Just to update this: I am currently in Brussels for a HT with BHR and travelled here via Eurostar. I was asked to see proof of a valid COVID-19 PCR test (performed within the last 72 hours), Passenger Locator form and completed Sworn Statement. At no point was I asked for reason for travel (have a letter from BHR) but that may just be my experience.
  3. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/tier-4-stay-at-home Travel The list of reasons you can leave your home and area include, but are not limited to: work, where you cannot work from home accessing education and for caring responsibilities visiting those in your support bubble - or your childcare bubble for childcare visiting hospital, GP and other medical appointments or visits where you have had an accident or are concerned about your health International travel to or from a Tier 4 area If you live in a Tier 4 area, you can only travel internationally - or within the UK - where you first have a legally permitted reason to leave home. In addition, you should consider the public health advice in the country you are visiting.
  4. There are a lot of people still flying that I see and isn't there an exemption for medical treatment?
  5. Hi All, For those in the UK, does anyone know if it's possible to travel for a HT to Belgium whilst under the current lockdowns (Tier 3 and 4?)?
  6. Hello guys, I have now received a reply from Dr Hasson via Doug of which the main points are: 1. Shouldn't be concerned or worried. 2. The shed in his opinion is the existing hair and related to my interruption of the proscar. This hair should return after a few months in the resting phase. 3. The transplanted hair is coming in nicely. 4. As far as the result to this point, he is pleased and feels there is a marked improvement based on the photos I sent earlier in the month. 5. He would like me to continue to shampoo normally and give the scalp a good massage daily when washing my hair. 6. Keep them posted and update them in 2-4 months and let or if there are any significant changes before then.
  7. Sorry Joe, to clarify, I am waiting to hear back from Doug for an opinion from Dr Hasson since I reported the shed about 3-4 weeks ago. For those who asked, here is another pic pre-op just before surgery with the hair styled to show the gaps: And a pic post-surgery:
  8. Yes i know about the year mark benchmark, I just expected something more at 6.5 months.
  9. I thought it had a flat response? As in, no matter what dose you take, it will block DHT?
  10. Hi This is a quick 6.5 months update after a 4792 HT. I'm not very happy at the moment Pre-op: Pre-op 2: 6.5 months (wet): 6.5 months (Dry 1): 6.5 months (Dry 2):
  11. Hi Danielkiwi, My ED is getting better but what is causing me most stress is the rapid hair loss 6 weeks since stopping Finasteride. I have contacted H&W and Doug told me not to worry, I have since e-mailed him again regarding the loss of body hair but still awaiting to hear back yet.
  12. Never had any ED before. Don't get me wrong, I was no Peter North but equally, just perfectly fine. Then wham - weeks after stopping the Proscar, my hair is just coming out in my hands whilst just trying to massage some oil into my scalp gently. I am in quite good shape, exercise at least twice a week - weights and cardio. I have no prostate problems as far as I am aware, the watery semen was being caused by Proscar, it is slowly returning to normal (ish!) now. I have made an appointment with my family doctor but I am not hopeful. I know they can't possible do ALL the tests but can you tell me the essential few I should get done? (if I can get any done!).
  13. Turned 30 in July and stopped taking it around 16 September 2010 (been 2 months).
  14. I have also, today, noticed acne/spots on my back and chest which were never there before. A couple of months ago I started getting a few spot on my face too - I never got them even as a teen.
  15. Definitely not imagining it - I can literally unbutton my shirt, reach into my chest and pull a few hair out with very little effort at all. As mentioned, this became apparent when I was showering. This is also consistent with how my hair was just 'coming out' when massaging oil into my scalp. I have also, this morning, just noticed that I have acne/spots on my back and chest - I have also been getting a few spots on my face/forhead which I never even got in my teenage years!
  16. Okay guys, an update. Basically, whilst taking a shower, my body hair (from the genital area upwards) is coming away from my body much more easily. For example, if I just scrub myself or even pull at the hair a bit, it comes away. This is *exactly* what was happening when I tried massaging oil in to my hair - the hair was just coming away with my hand. Could this be some hormonal changes as a result of stopping the Proscar?

  18. Hi, I have stopped the 1/5th Finasteride for about 6 weeks. Some of the ED has worn off but some is still there such as decreased sexual desire, quite a bit of a loss of 'morning wood', difficulty in getting and sustaining an erection without 'help' and decreased volume of ejaculate. I have also experienced a massive shed - refer to my other post: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/158331-illuminated-5-month-nearly-6-update-something-wrong-here-new-post.html I agree that may be I am susceptible to the side to the side effects more than others. In regards to getting the bloods done.. is that available via the NHS? Privately, it seems that it is charged PER TEST, meaning that it can cost hundreds of pounds!
  19. Hi Bill, What is alarming is the rapid loss by the handful in the past 2 weeks. I was only taking Fin for 3 months and I started 1 month post the HT so I am not certain if in that 3 months it did that much 'good' and now that I have stopped it (for 6 weeks so far), bunches of hair are falling out. The ED affects have been quite severe for me so I am not sure about continuing it just yet, however, I am continuing with Minoxidil 5% once at night The problem at the moment is that I am left with BOTH falling hair and ED effects from the Fin.
  20. I was on Fin for 3 months and started 1 month AFTER the HT. I have since stopped Fin for 6 weeks due the ED.

  22. Hi I am continuing to use Minoxidil 5% once per night. Due to the adverse ED effects of 1/5th Finasteride, I have discontinued that for 6 weeks thus far. It could just be continued hair loss but I have never in my life experienced it to be coming away in my hands just like this - so much so that the next day I can visibly see my scalp due to the extra loss.
  23. ALL, An update. I took 1/5th Proscar daily for 3 months but noticed quite a few negative effects including some ED such as: much lower libido, loss of erection strength, no 'morning wood', greatly decreased ejaculate volume. Coming off 1/5th Proscar for just over a month has so far reduced the negative effects but not eliminated them so far. In the past 2 weeks I am experiencing a MASSIVE SHED. Today I tried massaging my scalp with some olive hair oil and you can see from the pictures attached how much hair has shed. Previously I tried some coconut oil and a similar amount shed then too!
